I'm not a big fan of the whole 'men in uniform' thing - at least not in terms of modern-day firemen etc. However, I still found this anthology a very enjoyable read. Some stories appealed more than others, but all were well written. My personal fave was Eric Gober's Issue No. 1. That was so funny and I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading it. One for the fanboys and fangirls out there.

Issue No.1 by Eric Gober Contemporary. Set in Hollywood with twist bringing in classic comic books. A bit of a Geek-out.
The Pinkerton Man by C.J. Baty Historical. Well written, solid characters, and did not end like I expected - which I really appreciated.
Mission: Protect the Ex by Alina Popescu Contemporary. Classic “get them back together, because they are too stubborn to do it themselves” set up.
A Spark in the Shadows by Kassandra Lea Paranormal. A werewolf cop loves the forbidden necromancer. A bit too short.
His Heart Held Hostage by Asta Idonea Fantasy. Prince held hostage falls in love with his jailer.
The Emperor’s Slave by Eddy LeFey Scifi. Only one man can save Earth and the Aliens, if he can over come his fear and anger. Alien male pregnancy.
Yes! Yes! Yes! By Lily Velden Contemporary. Writer stalking his elusive yet very sexually active neighbor and meets Navy guy. An absolute hoot of a read. Best of the bunch.
The Firefighter and the Marine by Jim Dunaway Contemporary. Firefighter rescues a Marine from burning apartment. HEA.
Blue Knight by Carol Pedroso Scifi. Alien ambassador saves enlisted man from sexual abuse and gives him the universe and his heart. HEA.
Royal Guardian by Jo Tannah. Scifi. A guardian for the prince becomes his consort, with a rather unique twist. This one could make a good series if the world building was fleshed out.
This was a rather mixed bag of genres, lengths, and plots, perhaps a bit too much so for my tastes? Given the title, I expected the "uniform" aspect to be more front and center, but that was not always the case and I think that frustrated me a bit. I was expecting "Men in Uniform" and I got (in some), mention of a uniform. I would have liked to have seen the "uniform" more front and center. As far as anthologies go, this had strong stories and just 'meh' stories, and everyone is going to have their favorites.
Overall, a variety of genres split fairly evenly between contemporary, scifi, with a smattering of historical and fantasy. If you are partial to short stories, quick reads and the theme of hot boys in uniforms of all sorts, this would be a book for you.

As the title implies, this book is an anthology of short stories about—you guessed it—men in uniform.
One story, the last one in the book, stands head and shoulders above the rest. Titled “The Royal Guardian” by Jo Tannah, it is a sweet love story.
Commander Lando Garr has but one assignment, guarding Prince Kallen, heir to the throne. Lando has been the prince’s guardian since the prince was born, and has watched him grow into a young man.
When the prince was young and ill, Lando brought him a present from a distant planet. A present in the form of an egg. An egg, the contents of which change both of their lives forever.
This is a love story with different levels, and the relationship between the prince and the hatchling is an extremely clever idea. I’ve been a reader of science fiction for many decades, and can usually see things coming. However, this idea took me by surprise.
I cannot say anything else without giving things away. The story does jump back and forth from present to past, a device that will be a bit off-putting to some readers. That being said, the story is well worth the effort.

I didn't care about Eric Gober's Issue no. 1 because I didn't care about Hollywood's monsters or superheroes or superstars.
CJ Baty's The Pinkerton Man was actually intriguing enough, but it's a pity that the mystery wasn't revealed.
Alina Popescu's Mission: Protect the Ex was a lame reunion story.
Kassandra Lea's A Spark in the Shadow told more about the setting/background than the MCs' story.
Asta Idonea's His Heart Held Hostage was boring.
DNF-ed Eddy Lefey's The Emperor's Slave because it's not interesting and I didn't have the patience to finish it.
Lily Velden's Yes! Yes! Yes! caught my interest, but it's short and the ending was abrupt.
DNF-ed Jim Dunaway's The Firefighter and the Marine because it's a dull read.
Carol Pedrose's Blue Knight was about an alien saving a damsel dude in distress, which was another meh story.
Also DNF-ed Jo Tannah's The Royal Guardian because the back and forth from the present to the past was irritating.

Lots of genres in this anthology
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
Hmm, where to start. There were really only a few short stories in this anthology that I felt were really good. The rest were sort of ho-hum, run of the mill M/M short stories. Anthologies are hard to read because the styles can be so different, the content is different and the point of views can be different.
This anthology wasn't great, but it also doesn't follow in the horrible category either and I think, at least for me, that's because there were some stories that I genuinely liked. I won't taint your reading by naming those, because you may find those stories not to your liking. However, if you keep reading, I am sure that if you do not like them all, there are some good ones within this anthology.

I probably would have graded up if it had more men in actual uniform and not just a drive-by mention of wearing one. I was expecting a series of cops, firemen, EMS, Marshals, mailmen, UPSdrivers, Jarheads or Flyboys. This is NOT that. Normally I appreciate the hell out of some scifi sexytimes but it felt like maybe a collection of stories that weren't really cohesive, and a slightly misleading title.
