A beautifully illustrated, hilariously zany vegetable adventure by Sue Hendra—bestselling illustrator of Barry the Fish with Fingers and Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell.
The Evil Pea is on the loose and there’s anarchy in the aisles! Can our supermarket superhero divert disaster? Or is he going to need backup? A funny, fast-moving story for fans of Supertato and Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell.
Evil pea creates anarchy at the supermarket while all the veggies are peacefully sleeping. Firstly he switches off the freezers (GASP!) and then he lets all the other evil peas free (DOUBLE GASP!) Veggies are desperate, but fishsticks and icecreams are also in despair. Who could have guessed that there is ateam of superveggies ready to help everyone? Super adventure in which Supertato gets a bit help from his super friends.
My son is addicted to Supertato! Every night he gets 2 Supertato books to read. I think it’s great, I can teach him the name of the veggies in the story.
Having read the first book I was very keen to see what this one had in store. My son definitely enjoyed the story but for me I didn't find it as funny. I felt that there were a couple of gaps in the storyline and I would of loved it if the other super veggies had individual names. I am still sure that I will reading this one most nights to my son so as long as he enjoys it that is all that matters.
I really enjoyed reading this to my five year old son he loved the part when the veggies came together such a good read to the children. During these hard times anything to keep my son james at peace. back to read some more wonderful books shalom all.
An easy to follow book that children really enjoy. Can start good conversations too about different vegetables which can lead to healthy eating. Vibrant illustrations.
Perfect for a Reception class. They loved this adventure story about vegetables who save the day at the supermarket. Spent lots of time looking at the bright, colourful pictures of the Veggies, children cleverly pointed out the hidden evil peas at the end of the book. After I had read this we all pretended to be 'Supertatos'. A very fun book.
