Ugh.... I don't know if I can keep going with this series.
The main character continues to make dumb decisions and escaping unscathed. There's no internal consistency and I think the author uses the ignorance of the main character to get away from doing research on some of the non-fantastical aspects of the story.
Examples of internal inconsistency: We're told that there are 120,000 demons in the demon nation. But you have 42 major clans. That's about 3800 members per clan. But wait, some of them have as many as 6 minor clans reporting to them. If we average it out at 3 per major clan, that means there's less than 800 demons per clan.... That's unsuitable and unrealistic over the timeframe they have been locked away. It's simple math, do it before you publish.
We're also told that there's a clan that deals with human fishermen and elves on a regular basis, so how come the demons are "re entering the global stage"?
These are just 2 examples that I thought about in the 10 minutes it took for me to write the review.
I get it it's self published, but come on. Stop writing unnecessary plot twists just to justify not having to edit something.
And also I had to come back and edit the review for this last paragraph. The story actually finishes at 84% of the book. Meaning that 16% of the content you bought is all the character'S rehash.
Once again terrible grammar, wrong words everywhere, desperate need of an editor and choppy sentences. Also, 42 Demon wives, one human Duchess wife and slave girls in love with the MC is just too much. I think some juvenile fantasy is being played out through the story. Plus, each book is short at around 90ish pages for $2.99 each. If you're interested in these books I suggest you buy the box sets. Okay books, but I would have quit reading them except that I already own them.
This was another great book! I think the worst thing is waiting for the next one to come out. I love that the main character has a spine and the way we see this character develop and grow. Some times a little O.P. but thats good in a book like this.
I usually only review books that I can give 5 stars. this book is an exception for me. I've read the whole series so far so maybe I'm a glutton for punishment or just plain dumb. The story line is good, the characters are ok as well. BUT what drives me up the wall are the constant spelling errors, wrong word choices and just plain carelessness. I cannot understand how this writer and allow his work to be published in such condition. For God's sake man DO SOME EDITING!
