If you want to explore & get to know Dartmoor this book is an eye opener to the vast array of history through the ages that can be found on Dartmoor. I have become so interested & have started ticking off the squares as I plan my visits. Historical finds include Iron Age & Bronze Age settlements, standing stones & menhirs. Burial sites , tin mines with relics of that era , quarries from which London landmarks have been built & crashed planes from the days of war.
