Tony Husband was a British cartoonist known for his black humour. He was mainly known for his work in Private Eye magazine, and his work has appeared in The Times, the Daily Mailand the Sunday Express as well as magazines including Playboy and The Spectator.

This was a fairly good book overall. It was nice to see some new political cartoons I’ve never seen before, though sometimes the pictures weren’t big enough to see what was happening in the cartoon, and the analysis by the author wasn’t as thoughtful as I thought it could have been sometimes. Also, it really could’ve used some more cartoons after the Cold War period.

The book needs to be bigger so you can actually read the word bubbles on the cartoons, instead of having the author/editor explain them.

Excellent book on looking at the history of America through political cartoons. It's amazing to see how political cartoons change over time and also the significance of political cartoons in reflecting the history of USA. Definitely a good read.
