He's been banished from Hell. She's been torn from Heaven. Where will they spend eternity?
Fallen angel, Muriel has dreamed of her revenge against the vile demon, Kier, who stripped her of her wings and returned her to a mere mortal. Her plans don't include his death; she wants more. She wants to watch him suffer as he's banished from Hell--the place he calls home. But having him in captivity isn't what she expected--not nearly as satisfying as she thought.
Or is it?
Will Muriel end up risking her soul to love a demon?
Mallory Crowe has lived in Michigan her whole life and has been in love with romance ever since she'd skip to the end of every novel, just to make sure the hero and heroine survived and ended up together. She lives with her husband and three dogs. When she's not writing, she's spending too much time in front of the TV, hiking, or working with various animal rescues.
I have to sat that this book came out of left field. The first two novels are vampire stories that I really enjoyed. This novel is about angels and demons. There is more than one reason for my 3 star review.
Author, Mallory Crowe really changed it up and I really don't understand why this book is a part of this series, other than the small bit of information about where vampires came from and the orbs that makes their invasion possible. This book was an okay story but it didn't engage my emotions like the first two.
Muriel a "fallen" angel did not make sense. How could a demon stop an angel? In my life, God always wins. Kier, how would a demon become not a demon? Sorry not buying. After
In this series, Ms. Crowe had stayed away from the new trend of making erotica the main reason for the romance between two beings. This book has a lot more erotic content that I find repetitive and boring. I know some folks enjoy that, but I just skip through most of it because there is really nothing new in erotic scenes. The more erotica the less I like the book since paranormal authors seem to think sex is a plot line. Ahh contraire, it is not.
The first two books seemed almost possible, could it happen? This book, not so much. I had a hard time finishing this book, it didn't hold my attention and took longer to read. The above reasons are what cost 2 stars. I really didn't care about Muriel or Kier. After reading "Daring Fire" and "Binding Fire", I was hooked and paid $3.99 for each book in the series. I normally do not do that unless I really, really like a series. Now I kinda feel duped.
Enough whining, I am not fond of this book in the series. Each book could stand alone and so I don't think I would have purchased this book if I had read the excerpt, but I never read excerpts.
You are on your own with this book. I am sure there are many who will like it. I don't think young adults should read this due to erotic content. I have purchased the next book already so I will start the next one now. See you on the flip side.
Binding Fire is full of twist and turns throughout. The plot lines are amazing and some of them you'll never see coming. This entire series has been wonderful to read and I can't wait to read the next book. Binding Fire does have a complete ending but leads you right into the next book. While it could be read alone I fully recommend reading the series in order so that you get the full affect of the story and characters. Muriel and Keir have become two of my ask time favorite paranormal characters. Talk about opposites attract....
Hmmmm...well it wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away either. It was a decent story at best, good enough to read once, but not something I'll read again. I hesitated before reading because it wasn't noted whether it could be read standalone or had to be read as a series and fortunately, in no way did I feel that I missed anything from prior books. The story flowed well and kept a nice pace that I feel suited just fine. It didn't feel too fast or slow and held my attention without wavering in the middle or the end. I understood Muriel's initial hatred and desperate need for revenge on Kier. I don't blame her one bit for carrying so much resentment when everyone let her down and left her to fend for herself when she sacrificed herself for others. I didn't like Kier at first and it was bordering on despise for him almost. After he left her was when I was able to kind of let go of my resentment and just go with it for the rest of the book. That helped and he seemed to be much more likable once he showed that he wasn't just messing with her for kicks. I liked who he was when he didn't have so much demon blood in him ironically, because I'm still somewhat confused on what happened and exactly what he was alongside Muriel herself by the end of the book.
I think the action scenes throughout were done pretty well and even though the actual confrontation between her and Azazel was very short, I think it was perfect of the storyline and see that the author wasn't going for some long, drawn out, dramatic showdown with the big bad. Muriel was so consumed with heartbreaking grief over the death of someone important to her that she went to get the job done no matter what it took, she found unimaginable strength she didn't have before, was driven by anger and pain, and the mindset that she had nothing to lose so she went for it and gave it her all without playing games. I think that was done specifically for story purposes, not just because the author didn't feel like making an action packed final battle or didn't know how, it feels like this was where the story was supposed to go all along. It didn't even need to be anything amazing, the scene was so powerful in the fact that she was there all of a few minutes in his presence before she ripped his heart out no problems. It spoke for itself pretty much by how hard it seemed in the beginning on,y for it to be so easy for her in the end. I loved that!
One thing I did not agree with however, was how she reacted to their deception. I'll admit it was a great twist, but if I were her, I would not have forgiven anyone that quickly. It was done with the best intentions but that doesn't excuse what they did and she shouldn't have let them get away with something as big as that. That wasn't cool at all. Had that happened to me, unless it was to save their own life, I would have been upset and furious over that stunt being pulled that it would have taken a lot of apologizing, groveling, and time away from everyone involved if I were to trust them again. Just because it turned out okay doesn't make it acceptable. They could have figured out something else if they'd used their heads. Oh, and her name didn't suit me either. I don't like the name to start with, it's very boring dated, but all I could picture every time I saw her name, was Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog. I had to keep reminding myself that she wasn't a plump, sweet, little, old lady with glasses. Besides that, it was a good book. It had nice buildup and I liked the characters besides that one flaw in the end. I guess we can call it one of those books you read to pass the time.
This is Mallory Crowes third installment in her Bad Boys of the Underworld series. This story is about demons and angels. Revenge isn't always sweet. I loved reading this book. I thought it was crazy to put an Angel and a demon together, but it works in this story. There are some twists and turns in here and this will keep you guessing how everything will work out for this couple. It is a standalone but I do recommend reading the others in this series because they are also good. I received a copy of this book for my honest review.
Binding Fire, what a great fantastic read, full of excitement, mystery and a real ass kicking fallen angel who is now mortal or demon? Muriel was once a soldier of heaven, everything she was told to do she would. As an angel she had no free will, her job was only to protect and preserve and to make sure that everything would go as planned, that the destiny that was set out for humans would follow through.
Well she was that until she was forced to drink the blood of a demon and then she was forced into a life of a mortal, her body was dying and she could feel every ounce of pain that was forced onto her, but she could never enter heaven and she was not welcome in hell, so that left her with only one-thing on her mind revenge for the son of a bitch who cursed her.
Keir could never forget Muriel, when he had forced a fallen angel to drink his blood he to had also changed was he a demon or was he an angel, for 5 years he had felt Muriel's pain, worse he had wanted her as his own. When he and a few of his friends walked into the diner where she worked, Muriel had known Keir as soon as he stepped through the doors and boy did she have a surprise for him. She had handcuffs that were spelled just for her so she could keep this soul sucking demon close to her and make him suffer as much as she did and then one day rip his heart right out of his chest.
So what do you do now that you have demon who forced his blood down your throat only to find out that he to has already suffered, after drinking Muriel's blood he becomes the first demon to have regrets and never wanting to claim another soul for hell, how do you persuade the angel he was bound to, that he is her protector and not her sworn enemy anymore. Because now things have changed in hell there is a new king who wants Keir's angel dead, all because of a new prophecy. Will both Muriel and Keir be able to defeat the king of hell or will they to perish like every other Demon and Fallen angel before them. Will the hell fire that burns inside her be enough?
Yes again I like to be vague of what I would let other readers know about this Mallory Crowe has done it again, she has left you with another complete paranormal romance that wont disappoint, trust me you can, you know.
This is the story of Muriel and Kier. Kier is a demon and Muriel is an angel, at least she was until Kier forced her to drink his blood. This act had turned her soul gray and would keep her from entering heaven. She was pissed. Kier, on the other hand, got cred for forcing an angel to drink from him among other things. The bad part of these "other things" was that he now had a conscience. The worst part of it was he felt everything that Muriel felt, including her pain and despair. He also wanted her. That is not good for his demon image, to want an angel. Muriel has a plan to get revenge on Kier. She handcuffs him to herself with enchanted handcuffs. Now he can't transport to Hell. He will have to stay with her until he "cleans" up to her level. He will feel any wound she has as much as she does. This might keep him from hurting her, but what about pleasuring her? Uh-oh. Forgot that one. The current head of hell (no, not your boss), was told that a former angel would kill him. Thus he must find and rid the world of said fallen angel. A little more difficult when she is handcuffed to a demon. Now they are on the run together. I think you will like the book if you are into paranormal romances.
Received this book in exchange for an honest review ....and I love it !!!!! In this amazing story that is about Muriel , a strong-willed fallen angel and the vile demon Kier, Mallory creates a believable world with a combination of a fast paced (love) story, well drawn characters, danger and romance that draws you totally in another fantasy world and won't let you go. I love how she can write down a character of questionable morality like demon Kier and make him as lovable and sexy as sin . The chemistry between Kier and Muriel is amazing . As with all of Mallory's books, you don't know from beginning till end what is around the corner, and that is what I love most about her writing. Never a dull moment and plenty of surprises with a great amount of hot and steamy sex scenes .I really enjoyed watching Muriel & Kier come together and you can feel immediately the very intense heated connection . Mallory , you outdid yourself and you were right after all about this one thing : Kier really gave me a run for my money in this amazing story Binding Fire !!!!! Highly recommend this book to everyone !
Fallen angel, Muriel, has dreamed of her revenge against the vile demon, Kier, who stripped her of her wings and turned her to a mere mortal. Her plans don't include his death. She wants more. She wants to watch him suffer as he's banished from Hell, the place he calls home. But having him in captivity isn't what she expected and not nearly as satisfying as she thought. Kier never understood the extent of damage he caused himself when he made the Fallen Angel drink his blood. She has invaded his every thought for the last five years.
Explicit content. Muriel and Kier are drastic opposites. Muriel's task is to kill demons and Kier only wants everyone to suffer. Even being attracted to one another is a foreign concept and their allies cannot comprehend being nice to one another, let alone wanting to spend time together. This can be read as a stand alone story and the book is about Muriel and Kier. Toward the end it leads into the overarching story.

I loved this book. Mallory has outdone herself in creativity, with the Muriel the Fallen angel and Kier the Demon having a past that collides again after 5 long years. As there relationship turns from one of anger and vengeance to one of love and protection they venture into territories that neither of them have ever before been in. Muriel's bravery to save the world and Kier's role in that plan keeps the reader riveted to this story. And as usual no reader is able to predict what Mallory has in store, her writing is utterly unpredictable. No one of her stories is the same other than the love and romance. Really loved her whole paranormal series and this book was equally impressive. Got to read it! It draws you in and does not let you go until the bitter end!
This is the 3rd book in the Bad Boys of the Underworld series. One night is all it took for these two to tear their worlds apart .Kier a devil thought he was being smart when he stopped Muriel from being able to get back to Heaven! What he did not realize was that he made it so that they where bound together. He has been kicked out of Hell and she can not get back to Heaven after five years of waiting she will get her revenge. She handcuffs them together to get back at him when he walks into the diner she is working at.Doesn’t that sound like it is going to be interesting! Find out just what happens to these two! I was gifted a copy for an honest review barwattts@telus.net
