A Stepbrother SEAL Romance - With bonus novel 'Based'!

**Limited time only, release priced at .99c! Also, buy Raging Hard and get another novel free!**

My stepbrother is raging hard and he won’t be controlled.

When we first met, he was only a perfectly gorgeous stranger all covered in tattoos.

I couldn’t resist pressing my body close against his. I couldn’t say no when he took me out to the alley to do more than just dance.

How could I have known my overbearing Dad just married his crazy-as-hell Mom?

His name is Nathan Magnus and he’s a total prick. He’s a Navy SEAL, trained to fight and kill in a thousand different ways, and he thinks he’s the best thing to ever happen to me.

He’s everything I hate wrapped in everything I want.

Now he’s staying at our house all summer.

And that’s not even the worst part.

Someone is after me because of my father’s shady business deals, and only Nathan is strong enough to keep everyone safe.

He has no sense of boundaries. He’s my bodyguard, but that doesn’t mean he can strip down and take a shower right in front of me.

And of course I can’t help but stare. He’s delicious, provocative, dirty, and arrogant.

I may be safe with my stepSEAL around, but I don’t stand a chance.

Raging Hard is heart-thumping violent, oh-too-steamy sexy, and features a hero with a filthy mouth. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+.

Raging Hard is a standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA.

For a limited time, BB's bestselling stepbrother novel Based is included here for free! Buy one book, get another book free!

This was included in One Night Seal, and I'm very glad because this one made it up for the other one. So because I didn't for see this I went in blind and I enjoyed it so much!

Claire met Nathan when she was out clubbing with her friend Lydie, at that time she doesn't know he is her step brother. They find out the next day, and then the drama begins. For me Claire was a bit on the annoying side sometimes because she was sometimes hot and then cold and that was a bit to much. But I get it it's her step-brother but still enjoy it! ;)

I know I don't need to watch the ratings to keep me from reading it because most of the times when they have low rating I'm Loving Them! When they have high rating I'm Hating Them, not all the time but still.. I only start it when I've read peoples reviews and the blurb.

1.5 Stars round down to 1 star!

Raging Hard was a complete dud for me. I really didn't enjoy it very much. The smexy times were meh. The heroine wasn't the brightest bulb and the hero was a first class jerk.

I found nothing particularly redeeming or interesting about this book. I was surprised, however, at the scene where the hero kills the first set of attempted kidnappers and then just tossed the bodies overboard and then lied about it. Ugh. And her bff, Lydie. UGH. Double UGH.

I wanted to be insulted by the hero's characterization - complete and utter jerk - because he is military. After I thought about it for a moment, I concluded that the characterization was fine. While it pains me to admit it, our military is full of humans who can act just as jerkishly as anyone else.

I want to say I DNF'd this. Instead, I have to admit that I skimmed the rest of the way to the end. The book didn't get any better and I did not believe in the romance.

1.5 stars (but only because I technically "finished")

There is a second book included - Based: A Stepbrother Romance - and it looks like not my cup of tea. Did not start Based at all.

Quick, Easy read. I wish I had liked Claire the h but ... she just was annoying. And sadly I felt 0 emotional connect between Claire and Nate. Sure there was a butt load of sexual chemistry but they never had an emotional connection. Up to the very end Claire was cold and distant.
This is the last chapter when she is out in the open about her relationship with Nate and blissfully in love:
Nate: "Are you happy here?"
"Where's this coming from?"
"Just answer."
I shrugged. "I guess so."

Yeah that sounds like she is in love and so happy she can't contain herself. *insert roll of eyes*
Oh and her BFF Lydie- that Beatch needs to go! She is a worthless leach of a friend.

Kindly provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.....

Yet again BB has produced another awesome read !!

This is Nathan (Nate) and Claire's story. We'll start with Claire first....she was such a darling. She's shy, reserved and it take quite a bit of alcohol to give her the courage to let loose !! Claire meets Nate in a club (which her dad owns....yup, rich dude), add more drinks some hot dancing and wow.....chemistry explodes !!. Just when you think these two might make a go of their new found lust (after the hot "n" heavy). Claire then end's up having to help out her VERY drunk best friend !!! NOOOOOO !!!. Then to make matters worse Claire's dad ask's Claire for a little ole family meeting to finally introduce her to her new step brother AND yup you've guessed it, Mr Hot As Hell Alpha is non other than Nate, who IS now her new Step brother !!!!

Nate....tattooed god is a Navy seal and has been away, back now on medical leave hence why Claire had not seen him before. This little revelation upsets and stresses Claire and Nate (well the step brother announcement - doesn't worry him so much). As always with BB's books there's more and Claire ends up with Nate as her personal body guard as some-one is targeting Claire to get at her dad. Nate and Claire are thrust together.....rarrr !! So, after time, they really get to know each other and lust changes to love.

There are thrills, mystery, VERY HOT Sex Scene's and Romance. What more did I need ?.....well maybe a gag for Claire's best friend.....annoying !!. The story ends on a HEA.......nothing more magnificent for me !!!

Well done BB....you have rocked out another beauty !!!!

Many thanks for this opportunity. A MUST READ xxx

Later peeps xx

In Raging Hard, Nathan, a Navy SEAL on a required break to recover from being wounded meets Claire his new stepsister one night in a club on the Outer Banks. The attraction is hot, instant for this bad boy and rough talking SEAL for sweet Claire, a virgin.

Besides being his stepsister, he soon discovers that Claire is the target for a local violent group and makes it his job to protect her.

The sex is hot and rough. The danger comes as a surprise but Nate makes it his business to protect his new stepsister and the ending is happy for the hot Navy SEAL and his sweet girl Claire.

Nathan (Nate) was the best part of this book. He had a dirty mouth and mind which I loved, but it also verged on being over the top sometimes. Underneath the cockiness and bravado lay a good, brave and smart man though. I also loved his sense of humor and how he constantly teased Claire with sexual innuendos, who loved it despite her protests. Despite wanting to jump Claire's bones all the time, or rather because of it, Nate proved with his actions how much he cared for Claire. He took risks to protect her and killed for her when needed.

Claire, in contrast, wasn't as appealing. I didn't see anything special about her: beauty and wealth don't count. Although not loathsome, she didn't come across as particularly sweet either. Nate did accuse her of being spoiled and naive once, and I agree. My biggest issue, however, was how Claire seemed to only lust after, not love, Nate. Her love didn't emerge until near the very end and only suddenly. Before that, she didn't like him and 80-90% of her thoughts were ones of sleeping with him. There were only one-two brief times where she seemed impressed with more than anything than his sex appeal. When it comes down to it, I'm not sure if Claire was a worthy match for Nate.

Typical of erotic romances, the sex was used to develop the romantic relationship between Nate and Claire. (That's why Nate's actions outside the bedroom were critical to the believability of the romance for me.) The suspense plot line wasn't overly suspenseful as the bad guys' motives were obvious. It was more of a device to pull the protagonists together and for Nate to go into killer-SEAL mode, but it was still enjoyable to see played out.

Having never read this author's writing before, I found the style readable but would have liked to have seen more descriptive language. Not much detail was given to describe anything (the physical appearance of characters especially that of the protagonists, clothing, buildings, etc.). It was up to the reader to fill in the blanks, which was good and bad in some ways.

An enjoyable erotic romance with a bit of suspense sprinkled in...

What a smokin' hot new Navy SEAL BbF!!!

~~~I received an ARC of Raging Hard from B.B. Hamel for an honest review!~~~
This is the fifth book of B.B. Hamel's that I have received as an ARC and reviewed, I do not know B.B. Hamel personally, she contacted me through Goodreads.
Claire is a hard working, dutiful daughter to a wealthy business man. She is home from college and hanging out with her party-girl girlfriend at one of her father's nightclubs, when she meets a hot stranger at the bar, dances with him, then allows him to take her to the back alley for some fun!!!! They get interrupted by the girlfriend and don't exchange numbers. Claire finds out that her father got married and meets her son.......Nathan, the hot stranger for the club!!!!
Nathan is a Navy SEAL, who is on a medical leave from a recent hospital stay from being shot while overseas. He is a crude and dirty-talking hunk. He desides that he would have more fun staying at his step-father's mansion so to stay close to Claire. He starts to drive for his step-father's sight-seeing boating company. Things start to happen that put Claire at risk which draws Nathan's attention to the extent that he is now assigned as Claire's bodyguard. He stumbles on more dangerous plotting at the same time that He and Claire let go of their reservations.
This is an action romance of a good college girl and a hot Navy SEAL. There is a decent amount of angst, adventure, lust, and a HEA ending. This book, like the rest of Miss Hamel's books, just suck you in until you're finished and haven't slept a wink.
B.B. Hamel is such a delightful writer, I have become a fan in the couple books I have read that she's written. I plan to read the rest of her books someday and would highly recommend anyone who enjoys romance, and in particular step brother romance, to give her books a try. Thank you B.B. for some awesome BBFs!!!
I got this Arc for an honest review and loved it! just as every other book from the amazing B.B. Hamel!!!!
Nate is a navy Seals, hard every way that you look at him, he lives for his job and when he is on leave, like now, he likes to let off some steam and relax with a beautiful woman.
And he just happens to run into one in the club he is hanging out, she is hot and different, he can't seem to gather what is it about her that entices him.
Claire is certainly out of her element in this club, she knows that there's no guy who could catch her attention, not her type at all. Until she runs into him and it feels like everything is on fire, she wants him, and that has never happened to her.
And then things get even better, her stepbrother is not who she wished he would be, and it will be extremely difficult to resist him.
Not to spoil the book for anyone I'm just gonna say that the story is amazing and thrilling, there's a lot of fighting, and lots of steamy sex scenes.
The characters are really perfect together and you can feel the attraction through the pages, the stepbrother sex is not for everyone but if you don't mind then this book is for you.
** I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review**
When I was asked to review this book I was all in as soon as I read the word SEAL i love SEAL books & I have a little fondness for stepbrother books & to add SEAL to the mix is heaven.
Claire & Nate meet at a nightclub & things get steamy between the two before Claire has to help her drunk friend.
They go their separate ways before realising they didn't exchange numbers, however it turns out Nate is her new stepbrother & is coming to stay for the summer. Someone has it out for Claire's father & is trying to take it out on Claire. Fast paced, plenty of hot steamy sex & a nice little dollop of drama. My favourite B.B Hamel book yet! You won't be disappointed.
*** I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review***
I was really excited to read this book after finding out the male lead Nate was a Navy Seal. Seriously nothing manlier than a bad ass Seal.
This book did not disappoint. I was drawn in from the first page and read it in one sitting (I have 3 kids so that's saying a lot). It had everything I look for in a story line:
•Great main characters that you fall in love with.
•A bit of suspense.
•And of course the best part steamy sex scenes.
Claire is the innocent good girl who is unsure of herself. While Nate is one of the best in the military, complete cocky badass and a Alpha. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
B.B Hamel has me hooked and I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of her novels.
Nathan just made her come with his finger and she wants more sadly her best friend is too drunk and ruins it. Next morning she meets her step brother Nate, the same guy she made out with the night before. Only problem she wants him but is conflicted about the situation. Will she let her heart decide? This book was generally entertaining, but very, very predictable. It was a fun, quick read, but Nate sort of bothered me as a character, Claire was kind of flat, and the quickness of the story unfortunately had the downfall of being a little quick in the end. It was ok, but I don't think I'll be reading it again.
I was very kindly provided with an ARC of Raging Hard by the author to read and review.
Claire Forester is a hard working, 21 year old virgin who would rather worry about having her head stuck in her studies than about giving up her sexual status. That is of course until the dirty talking SEAL, Nathan Magnus, crosses her path and suddenly what mattered the least quickly becomes all she can think about. But what will happen when two strangers smacked by instant lust, come to discover they're actually family? Is taking what you want strong enough to overcome the feeling of how wrong a situation is?
He probably thought I was some weird cat lady or like an overly emotional clinger or something. But the truth was, having sex had just never felt right. While all my peers were busy humping anything they saw, I kept holding out hope for someone decent to go through that experience with.
Maybe that was naïve. Admittedly, I’d grown up a lot since then. I didn’t think losing my virginity was going to be some earth-shattering experience, or really any huge deal at all, but still. I wanted at least a decent guy for my first time.
Claire was a laugh a minute. She could be strong as steel but weak as a piece of paper at the same moment. If it wasn't for her weakness to dump her best friend then I would of absolutely admired and adored her. Although I'm all for giving people a second chance and standing by them, Lydie, her supposed best friend was shockingly awful to her. Once or twice I prayed Claire would actually hurl her overboard the boat they were on and literally leave her there (I may be a little harsh sometimes!). But where she really came out of herself and became a better character was always around Nathan, he could not only turn her weak points in to strengths but he could turn her in to an utter sex kitten with one flick of his finger. Why can't these male characters ever actually exist?!
Bastards. Pieces of shit. I was going to tear them all apart, limb by fucking limb, until I was drenched in their blood. They’d run screaming, begging for mercy, and as I stood over their bleeding and battered bodies, I’d smile and end them.
What other men saw as a problem, I saw as a fucking challenge.
The real smoke and fire of the book was with a doubt Nathan. You'd be hard pressed to ever find a male lead with more dirty lines than him. How my tablet didn't melt and require an extinguisher I'm not sure I'll ever know. But he wasn't all hotness and no substance, when he turned in to a one man army to protect his family he became a loveable hero. The scenes between him and his mother could be hard to read at times because they were utterly heartbreaking, but B.B. Hamel managed to write them with a great deal of care and sensitivity. Nathan was the complete action man with not just a heart of gold but with a remarkable air of realism.
What's better than a red hot smoking read? Obviously it's one that has a red hot SEAL as one half of the main duo of said book! And this one certainly didn't disappoint in any way.
B.B. Hamel kept up her never ending knack for telling an engaging, fast paced story of frowned upon trysts and pulse pounding dangers. I always admire this authors ability to give each book an entirely new location and scenery and this being based, at times, on the open seas felt incredibly fitting and refreshing. But my favourite thing and what actually gave me a really good feeling was the authors initial message in the book that losing your virginity isn't some unnecessary race. People should be a little more like Claire and be willing to wait until it feels right for them, not the ridiculous notion that exists where we have to do it as soon as possible because everyone else is. It's a great and important message to get out to people based around Claire's age of twenty one.
I managed to devour the whole book in one go and it certainly warmed up my cold winter evening! Thank you to B.B. Hamel for another pleasurable read from start to finish, don't ever quit giving me new reads!
** i was given this Arc in return for an honest review**
with that said i want to be honest there was one thing this book taught me. that men can be OVER THE TOP cocky and confident about themselves. i really wanted to like this book because i am a fan for B.B Hammel's stepbrother books but this one was disappointing.
one thing i learned about the male MC Nate. was that Nate was in love not only with himself but with his cock. i think i would be rich with how many times that man talked about his " member" it was like every page was about how hard he was for his step sister. how his cock wanted things. i swear i think that his Cock alone needs a book of it's own seriously. it was like his penis was the Main character not Nate or Claire not it was his Penis. Nate just didn't do it for me he was way to into himself and the constant mention about him being a Navy Seal was just annoying. it was like every chapter his penis was mentioned and then the fact that he was a SEAl was constantly mentioned. after the third time i didn't care about that shit i just wanted to read the damn story. i didn't need to be reminded.
and then there was Claire. for the love of Christ even she constantly mentioned the man's Penis. " my stepbrother the SEAL" this and " my stepbrother's perfect cock" that. i swear i think second to Nate Claire was talked about his Penis so much that i was starting to wonder if we were going to learn about anything else about Claire besides her Stepbrother's " penis". " eye roll" it's sad to say that this is all i got from this book. there really was no major plot. the plot itself was just cheesy an that's just me putting it nicely because i don't want to say it was dumb. then you have the Female Mc's best friend Lydie. man i wanted to punch throat her so bad. she was annoying as hell seriously.
the whole plot with the "cult" or "gang" whatever you wanted to call it was just not exciting as i thought it was going to be. the whole thing wasn't that big of a deal like the Male hero 's Penis it was like something that happened in the background and then it was quickly handle.
the Chemistry between both the MC's just wasn't there i didn't see it. it was more like a lust thing obsession and as much as i wanted to believe it i just couldn't.
i don't recommend this book i mean unless you are a fan and if you are proceed at your own risk people!!
I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review
After reading several books by B. B. Hamel, I knew what to expect and she didn't disappoint. All I can say is... she had me at “stepbrother”. B. B. Hamel knows how to combine suspense and taboo in an all consuming romance that entertains and titillates. Her titles always make me laugh with their double meanings, the steamy scenes make me hot, and the action keeps me intrigued. Nate and Claire kept things interesting and sexy until the very end. I loved their snarkiness, their chemistry, and how much love and concern they show for one another. When the going gets tough Nate and Claire know how to stick together and be there for each other.
Nathan aka Nate is a rock hard Navy Seal that puts it all on the line for his country and yet still has to come home and deal with a crazy mother who is always spiraling out of control. She looks down on him for his career choice and makes sure to let everyone know. When Nate is home on leave because a bullet wound, all he is looking for is to drown in his sorrows in alcohol and get some action in bed before he is called back to duty. What he gets is a sexy, unfulfilled rendezvous with a mysterious girl at a bar. Along with a summer filled with a new stepfather, a mother he wants avoid and a step sister that touches him on so many levels.
Claire is a young, rich girl who is home for the summer from college and is dragged to the club by her brazen, drunken friend. When she encounters a built, rugged man who has her thinking dirty thoughts, she is left confused and wanting to know more about him. After finding out that he is her new stepbrother, she is shocked, hot and bothered, and not exactly sure what this summer has in store for her. Little does she know that her summer is going to be wild, provocative, and dangerous and Nate will be the only protection that she could ever want or need.
If you are looking for suspense, action, and sexy scenes then Claire and Nate are just what the doctor ordered. This forbidden love story is just the cure for boredom and Nate knows how to use all of his weapons in ways that are entertaining and leave you guessing what action will be next both in and out of the bedroom. I highly recommend for an entertaining, fast paced, read that will have you hooked on stepbrother romances and waiting for B. B. Hamel's next heart pounded, heat inducing story.
Raging Hard is a thrillingly fast-paced and beautifully captivating adventure that will leave you absolutely breathless and completely content. It has the perfect blend of sassy and stubborn characters that light up and challenge a twisted, sinister plot. This is a story that will push your boundaries and make you take a good look at just how you define the most important things in life.
Nathan has his life all mapped out. He knows what works for him and what doesn’t. Whenever he receives a call from his mother informing him that he is to meet his new step-father and step-sister, he is naturally less than thrilled. He has no interest in his mother’s latest attempt to snag a rich husband. However, one look at his step-sister Claire, and he knows he is in over his head. This isn’t the first time he has met her, and she intrigues him enough to want to take up his step-father’s offer to spend the summer with them. Claire never imagined meeting someone like Nathan, and now that she has, she isn’t sure whether she wants to keep him around or send him packing. All bets are off whenever she is threatened and finds that perhaps Nathan is more then he appears to be.
Nathan and Claire are such wonderful characters that stole my heart as I watched them navigate the dangerous mind field of the heart. They are both strong, stubborn, and fiercely loyal to a fault. Their unique family dynamic was definitely something that you don’t see every day and caused them to lean on each other more so then they normally would have. Throughout the story, we see Nathan’s stone defenses melted away by the innocent, passionate, and beautiful Claire. It is such a beautiful sight to watch a strong, determined man discover what makes his heart beat and then do everything in his power to pursue, love, and protect her at all costs.
While I immensely enjoyed reading Cocked by B.B. Hamel, I have to admit that I absolutely loved Raging Hard. It has found a very special place in my heart. Its very heart and soul is what makes a good story truly incredible. Hamel has an unbelievable talent at writing characters that would never seem to mesh who become the missing half of the other’s very soul. Reading one of these stories is like taking a deep breath of the cleanest, purest, and most life-inducing oxygen. It rejuvenates the soul and infuses the heart with much needed hope and love.
I received and ARC for an honest review! Wow!! What an amazing book!!!! Claire is out with her best friend at one of her fathers clubs and she is bored to death and then her best friend invites two creepy guys to join them in the VIP lounge and things go down hill fast! Not only does her best friend tell everyone at the table her biggest secret, she doesn't want to be anywhere near her at the moments and is off to prove to her best friend Lydie that she is not what she just a accused her of. All of the sudden this beef cake of a man comes and take control of the situation and Claire is thankful. They go and dance for a while then things turn heated and Claire finds herself doing something she thought she never would do! The next morning Claire is suppose to be meeting her new stepbrother....
