In this short story, a walk with his friend's terrier turns into a mission to exact retribution on a local bully when Gabriel finds one of his female neighbours crying at the wheel of her car. Lander Reeve is a mega-successful bond trader with a big mouth and an even bigger SUV. He's been running Gabriel's neighbour off the road and Gabriel decides it's time to put a stop to the man's behaviour. For good.
A midnight mission to recce the bully's property gives Gabriel the idea for some poetic justice involving some heavy-duty steel cable and some emergency red triangles.
No gunplay (or not from Gabriel) but plenty of action in this diversion from Gabriel's bloodthirstier exploits. We also learn more about the influences that shaped his character.
Praise for Trigger Point, the first full-length novel about former SAS-captain Gabriel Wolfe...

Okay, read book one Gabriel Wolfe Trigger Point , now read the 0.5 short story afterwards.

The short story was very good. I read it in 45 minutes. The story line could relate to many situations in real life too. I do believe, however, that this should have been free to Andy Maslen and particularly Gabriel Wolfe fans. Amazon once again takes the prize for rip off merchants.
Excellent short story, but very sharp and to the point.
Although the book was cliched, it hits home the point that money doesn't make a person, manners and attention to others does. Maybe a little too short but enjoyable
Reversal of Fortune by Andy Maslen is a Gabriel Wolfe short story after he had left the army. A tale of how he quietly and anonymously dealt with an obnoxious neighbour who had been bullying another female neighbour unnecessarily. Recommended
This short story left me with a giggle fit. Gabriel Wolfe, former SAS officer and covert agent is out walking a friend's dog. He finds a neighbor lady sitting in her car crying. A local big shot has forced her off the road, again! Gabriel decides this bully needs a lesson in driving etiquette and proceeds to teach him -- covert style. A fast and funny read.
I had a laughing fit when this ex special forces soldier decides that a covert "lesson" is needed. The story may be short, but the entertainment is not.
