How do you fix the consequences of a hasty Christmas wish?

All is not comfort and joy at the North Pole, Father Christmas is being bugged by a mortal who was affected by an ill supervised Christmas wish, so he puts his most trusted adult department fairy on the case.
Noah Spicer’s life was already going down the toilet after he inexplicably failed a drugs test and got booted off the national dive team, but now he has to mow the lawn of the horribly successful woman he’d teased at school. This ‘Mega Boner’ was very different to the uptight, rail thin girl he’d known, both in looks and in personality. But her offer of a substantial fee for some personal services reminded him of his father’s motto ‘smile and take their money’.
Tinsel doesn’t enjoy humiliating the essentially harmless and most lickable ‘Spice’ but with the exiled fairy Jingle also after the naive young man, there is more at stake than Spice’s slightly bruised ego and the petulant Dr Megan Bonham. Something is serious up with Father Christmas, but as he literally holds all the baubles, is there anything one Christmas fairy can do to save Spice and produce a permanent Happy Ever After for all Christmas fairies, past, present and future?

Warning: 18+ story containing some strong language, M/M/F adult scenes and some significantly corny festive references.

Emma is the #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of m/m series such as Paint, Incubus, and Lies.

Known as the Queen of MM angst her books include Sci-fi, paranormal, and contemporary romance and always puts her characters through hell before giving them a HEA. She blames her rebellious muse (who looks like Chris from the Paint Series) for the erotic aspects tickling the angst, and the humor cuddling up with the erotic.

When not writing or reading she herds Birman cats and sons; Both groups argue that the other is too large.

A fun continuation for the series. Some fairly strong scenes but they work well within the story and aren't just there to titillate. Worth a read.

Generally, people recognize fate, destiny, and chance as the primary forces that shape one’s life. Tinsel Time, however, introduces a fourth factor – Father Christmas. And of the four, Father Christmas, or as he was nicknamed in the first book of this series, the Big Red Boss (BRB), is by far the most clumsy and heavy-handed. Case in point – this story.

Originally, BRB granted Noah, the main figure of this book, a wish when he was a child. Noah wanted to be popular. The wish, however, backfired as Noah became callous to the feelings of others, and in particular, one Megan Bonham. So, we enter the story when both Noah and Megan are adults. Through hard work and dedication, Noah has achieved his life’s dream of securing a place on the UK national diving team. Likewise, Megan is extremely successful in her scientific business pursuits, and beautiful as well, thanks in part to modern medicine. But because she received no Christmas wish as a child, she wants one now, in the form of revenge against Noah. BRB grants the wish. Ouch!

But to compound Noah’s woes, BRB has already had him fail a drug test, even though he took no drugs, thus creating an opening on the national diving team and filling another child’s Christmas wish. If that is not enough, enter Spencer Ward/Jingle, a fallen Christmas fairy, who preys on mere humans. He makes them his sexual slave, only to dump them coldly when they age. And, he has his eye on Noah. The responsibility for this potential grief also falls at the feet of BRB, at least partially, as he exiled Ward from the North Pole for engaging in some ‘extracurricular’ activities with Mistletoe, another Christmas fairy and the future Mrs. Christmas.

So, with that setting and forces in play, I’ll simply say that the rest of the book is about Tinsel and her fellow Christmas fairies’ attempts to implement RBR’s decisions…and perhaps reduce some of the pain BRB has wrought on Noah, who by all accounts, deserves better.

As they say, the British and Americans are separated by a common language. But even given our different word usage and phraseology, I think many of the places I scratched my head over the prose resulted from simple typos. The book could have used one more pass by an editor. Second, I hope my description of the setting for this story conveys some of the many themes it touches – bullying, fantasy, adult sexual situations, revenge, and although I did not say it before, humor. And while the author’s words brought each of these themes to life, in the end, they seemed to clash a bit. The story felt something like a soap opera with magical beings, heavily overlaid with sex, humor, and societal ills…which I suppose might be the author’s precise intent, even if it does prevent me from tying it all up with a nice, neat conceptual bow.

I was given an electronic copy of this book in return for an honest, nonreciprocal review.

Don’t expect a White Christmas from Tinsel Time because what you get is a Dark Christmas Erotic story. Emma Jaye takes a nice (but slightly dim) young man and throws him into a tangled web of Christmas wishes gone wrong, illicit Christmas Fairy romance and the prowling tiger from Book One of this series that is the immortal human once known as Jingle. Our hero Noah Spicer is an Olympic diving star busted by a Christmas wish drug test failure. Now Dr Megan Bonham (the aptly named Mega Boner of his teenage gang’s bullying) wants to turn the tables on him with a backlash wish of her own.

Fairy Tinsel is sent to Earth to put things right, but she’s hampered by Megan’s need for revenge and the re-appearance of the banished Fairy Jingle now in his human form of Spencer. The darkness in this story comes from Spencer’s capture and seduction of Noah as Tinsel tries to rescue him from a forbidding future even as she wrestles with her desire for Fairy Garland.

It’s another well written story but despite the presence of Father Christmas, his Fairies and Wishes it doesn’t have the ‘feel’ of Christmas. Firstly it takes place in summer, I know this shouldn’t get in the way as the Fairies operate all year round but it just didn’t feel right. Secondly this book felt more like an erotic novel of seduction and revenge. We have a nice, good-looking main character hunted by Spencer for seduction and Megan for revenge and even though Tinsel takes a lead role she is more of an observer and so for me it felt as if the Christmas part had been written around Spencer and Megan’s tug of war for Noah.

I hovered between 3 and 4 stars because of my uncertainty about the Christmas theme. I finally plumped for 4 because of the strength of the writing. The relationships, especially between Noah and Spencer, are very well written with Noah’s desperation to please his lover perfectly depicted in an MMF and an MM scene that almost burn the page.

Wow! This was definitely the sexiest Christmas story I've ever read. The story begins when Santa's adult department fairies are given a special task. As a child, Christmas fairies gave Noah Spicer his wish and made him popular. However, the wish backfired since a girl Noah teased in school, Megan, has made a wish for revenge. Though Tinsel prefers giving happy Christmas wishes, she follows Father' Christmas's orders and takes Megan's place. Megan wants Noah to feel just as badly as she did when she was a kid. So Tinsel tries to humiliate Noah, but when she realizes how great he is, she has trouble following orders. Instead she's drawn to him and wants nothing but good things for him. Tinsel is stuck between doing her duty and doing what's right. She can't ruin someone's life because of Christmas wishes gone wrong.

This book was a lot of fun and extremely hot. I liked how the fairies could look into the snow globe at the North Pole and see into alternate futures for people. I think my favorite character of all was Noah. As a famous diver, he's hit the top in life, but when he falls and loses everything, he doesn't give up. He works hard even when all the cards are stacked against him. At a certain point in the book it seems that nothing could be worked out for the characters, so I was please to find a happy ending for them all.

Where do I begin, if you take the time to read the synopsis, then you will know exactly what happens in the story.
So then I will get down to reviewing it. Personally, this is not the type of book I read, although this book has been beautifully written, I didn’t fall in love with any of the characters, Noah was too weak and Megan too needy in my opinion. At the beginning there were too many characters for me to get my head around and just when I thought I was starting to enjoy the book, I got to the bit with Jingle (Spencer) and Noah Spicer and it wasn’t to my taste and in my opinion went on for too long.
All in all, if you would like to get lost in a world of fairies fulfilling adult’s wishes then this book is for you.

The next in the series, Tinsel Time continues where the story left off, and once again we are transported to the Adult Dept of the North Pole. However, the focus, this time, is Noah. A childhood wish was granted to Noah Spicer, and as a result, he makes Megan Bonham's life miserable. A successful scientist now she makes a wish to get revenge on Noah. Tinsel takes Megan’s place to fulfill her revenge but finds herself feeling sorry for Noah. Add in some sexy scenes (although not my cup of tea they're well written) a fallen fairy called Jingle and the story kept me gripped to the end. Fun festive read!

This is the first book I read from this author. This is the second book in the series, there were some things mentioned from the first book but it didn't really steer me away from this story. This is a story of adult fairies who grant adults their wishes. Father Christmas dents Tinsel to take over Megan's body so she could stop bothering him over getting revenge over Noah who bullied her in high school and she never got over it. It was a good story with some hot steamy sex and Megan is one crazy woman.

This was a fun book to read. I had a wonderful time with this characters. It was unexpected, wich was a wonderful thing. The main characters were odd. Not the usual perfect couple or perfect person with not a single flaw, not even close. This people were far from perfect and I loved it. The plot was so different. Certaintly not what I expected when I choose to read a holliday book, but so much more than I could have hope for.
So much recommend.

A few words to describe Tinsel Time: Hot. Crazy creative. Funny. Coolly British.

As an American reader, “hearing” Noah Spicer (aka Spice’s) voice in my head saying utterly British words like bogs, totties, and dosh made quite the joyful noise. I loved the unashamedly un-humble Spice – he knows exactly how fabulous his body is and enjoys showing it off. Lots of great opportunities for mental eye candy.

I love the creativity of this book’s premise. Christmas fairies made by Father Christmas, using magic and time travel to fulfill wishes for humans. Every human gets one wish, so if you don’t get it when you’re a child, you’re entitled to it when you’re an adult – and the adult department fairies usually seem to be fulfilling naughty, naughty wishes.

Being able to shape change – including an eye-popping vision of a far-from-traditional Father Christmas– made for some delicious giggles.

There are several typos in the book – some may not be typos but rather a British style of punctuation, so I reserved judgment.

Overall, the dialogue is frostily clever. Spice is hired to escort Megan to a conference and run interference with the male competitors and their catty trophy wives. I hollered out a few “You go, boys” at his fiendishly funny put-downs. And then there are Spice’s naughty words and deeds. Seriously scorching, and worth re-reading a couple times.

A quickie peak into the future at his potential future was hot, hot, hot - if one enjoys reading about steamy menage action (ahem, yes, please).

This is the second book in a series. I haven't yet read the first one, but I didn't have any trouble following the story. There are some intriguing references to events in the first book - I want to know what's in Spencer's basement! I'll be downloading it pronto to devour it faster than fairies drink sherry.

The main human characters' stories are nicely wrapped at the end, but there’s a bit of a cliffhanger with how the fairies will handle the hot water they landed in with Father Christmas. Mm, mm, such delicious punishment to have to wait another year to find out!

I have been waiting for this book since I read Holly Berry, last year, and it was well worth the wait!

Tinsel, a fairy in the ‘adult department’ in Santa’s workshop, is summoned by the big guy, to help him fix a mishap with one of his previous wishes.

Noah Spicer’s childhood wish has had a huge impact on Megan Bonham, a successful scientist, who has yet to get over being ridiculed by a popular Noah, and his friends, during their school days. Now she want’s payback. Tinsel takes Megan’s form and plans to fulfill her wish, however she soon realizes just how great ‘Spice’ truly is, especially given that he, himself has not had it all that easy. It’s clear to Tinsel that Noah doesn’t deserve any more hardship, and she struggles to justify her duties, especially when Noah falls victim to an unfortunate incident. I was on the edge of my seat, toward the end of this story!

There are a few lessons to be learned in this one, and Noah’s charm and ‘never-give-up’ attitude, made this one for me. The future-Christmas scenes made me very, happy for each of the characters.

This book is a fun read, with some sexy little scenes intertwined that makes for another classic, adult, Christmas tale that I’m probably going to read and re-read for years to come.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book.
A revenge wish, which the fairies are not happy about, puts the 'nice but dim' hero Noah Spicer firmly in the cross hairs of Tinsel, and she isn't meant to make him smile. Trouble is, he's hot, funny and very 'lickable'.
Megan, the woman who wants revenge because Noah friends bullied her at school, after watching from a snow globe at the north pole, she has Tinsel do a 'dry run' with him pretending to be her boyfriend at a conference.
But Tinsel isn't the only one interested in the disgraced diver.
As with the first book, everything is not sickly sweet.I loved the inclusion of the overly dominant Spencer from the first book, finding out he is actually an exiled fairy was a great twist. This book contains hot M/m/f and m/f scenes, and wince inducing christmas references.

Quirky, erotic fantasy fun for the festive season.

Sexy fairy frolics

This is Emma Jaye's second Christmas offering and although it features characters from last year's book, it's a completely new story. This time we have another fairy (Tinsel) fulfilling wishes, including her own as it turns out.

There was a lot of angst for all concerned this time around. Would Noah do the right thing? Would Megan stop being so neurotic? Would Tinsel find sexual fulfilment? The author takes us through these dilemmas with her usual flair, though I have to say that the man on man thing just doesn't do it for me. But that's just me.

This is a fun read and didn't end quite as I expected it to. When you can't take any more of the sherry and the in laws this Christmas, I recommend getting lost in this book.

Tinsel Time was a wonderful Christmas treat! I loved Holly Berry and was excited to read the next book in this series. Emma Jaye has a terrific imagination. She creates three dimensional characters that have both positive attributes and flaws. Spice is a guy that is the embodiment of be careful what you wish for. It seems even Christmas wishes may come back around to bite you in the hiney. Tinsel has to pretend to be a human to set things right again. In the end all is well, even if it's not the way in which you thought the story would end. Now I need to know what happens next. Where's Jingle?! I cannot wait to see what happens next!

This book is pretty well-written, has a nice, light tone (for the most part) and the premise itself is fun. It did take quite a while to engage me, and I found it a little on the long side for a book of this nature. When I've had to review erotic novels in the past, I get frustrated wading through reams of poorly-written dialogue and boring characters to get to the "action" scenes, but here I actually quite liked the premise, and the action scenes themselves were...well-handled...cough. These kind of books will never be my cup of Darjeeling (porn is far more efficient) but I can appreciate it for what it is, and I'm sure fans of the genre will lap it up.

It's always a calculated gamble to write a Christmas story, erotic or otherwise. What might appeal to the reader for one festive month might not jump out as a possibility for the remaining eleven. The second installment of the Naughty or Nice series sees the Christmas fairy, Tinsel, engaged in making a mortal's wish come true. It's a captivating story, both well-written and well-paced, with just the right amount of heat. The author introduces several interesting subplots and a bit of a cliff-hanger that will have me looking forward to the third installment. If you're thinking of waiting until December to pick this up, don't. Tinsel Time is a story for all seasons.

5 glowing, sparkling, huge Christmas stars all the way. Before a couple weeks ago I never read any of Emma Jaye's work, but now I'm a lifetime fan. This book is amazing and so completely utterly different from other works I've read I can't help but love it. This is one series I hope will be continued in at least three more books. Love them! Can't wait for Jingle Balls next!

I thought it was ok. But like many Part 2 in a series (especially movies) in my mind it couldn't hold a candle to the genius of Book 1. What I loved about the first one just wasn't there in this one. Neither main character I couldn't really like that much. I thought the explanation of Noah's past was repeated too much in the beginning. And I didn't really care for the "ghost of christmas future" plot just past the middle of the story. I understand why it was there, but it wasn't what I cared to read...to long and took away from the what is and delved in to the what may be for too many chapters.

Even with that critique, the writing was good and I'll read the next part in the series when/if it comes out.

What happens when the jolly guy in a red suit, aka Father Christmas, grants a wish for a woman to get revenge on her childhood tormentor, Noah? But he sends one of his fairies in to do Megan's bidding!

All kinds of expected things, that's what. And to find out what those are you'll need to read Tinsel Time.

Contains: Spicy MF, FMM & MM scenes and not necessarily between the main characters. And as I typed that, I realized I can't really say whose story this was.
