This is a great book to read BEFORE visiting Ste. Genevieve! This book provides a lot of history and background information that would help any visitor appreciate the town even more. While I am quite familiar with Ste. Genevieve, this book provided more information that I did not know before. I would highly recommend this book.

This book is about how the town of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. was founded. Ste. Gen. is the oldest permanent, white settlement West of the Mississippi River and one of my favorite little towns that I served in on my mission.
