Quick and Informative for the Naturally Longwinded

The hardest thing in the world is taking 80,000+ words that you have lived, breathed and shaped for more than a year and describing it to someone else in less than 1,000 words. Whoever finds you initially compelling will quickly be repulsed by your over-exuberant rants about your crazy characters.

So read this - you need it. Short, sweet, compelling and informative. Just what your query needs.

I would have listed this earlier if I had known it was on goodreads. If you are writing a query letter, you've got to read this book. It breaks down the parts of the query in an easy to understand fashion and has really great examples of queries using Elana's technique. It really helped me so much in getting a handle on how to write a query letter. I can't recommend this book enough.
