You will be amazed and blessed by this scholarly, yet readable prophetic look at the tribes of Israel.
It was an easy read and very educational. I have read the chronological Bible several times and have studied prophesy, and there were things I learned.
Dr. Varner explained the prophetic implications of Jacob’s last words very well. I’m glad that he explained how each tribe would experience his blessings and curses. I would recommend it to any serious student to God’s word.
This was an informative and well written little book about the blessings Jacob gave to his sons as recorded in Genesis 49, and their prophetic fulfillment.
This is the best book I have read regarding how the tribes ultimately were fulfilling the prophetic blessings that Jacob proclaimed over is sons on his deathbed. There are a small few that were obvious because of scripture that points to it. But the majority of lesser none tribes are amazingly in many places. The author was able to extract verses in chronological fashion, to reveal the prophetic aspect. Even using a Strongs concordance would show where the different tribes are mentioned but could not, and do not reflect how the author tied it back to the blessing. Fascinating book, and extremely easy to read. Makes me hungry for more.
Easy to understand account of the 12 tribes of Jacob. I read it at the same time I reread ‘The Red Tent’ which shed new thoughts on how life could have been living in Jacob’s time.
This book was a great study on the 12 tribes of Israel. I found it fascinating to see the prophecy and scripture of where each of these tribes ended up and what their future will be in God's plans.
