A Navy SEAL puts his training to the test to rescue a sexy news reporter from a hostage situation Home on emergency leave, Navy SEAL Dustin "Dustman" Ford didn't expect to run into his high school sweetheart, local news reporter Jenna Turner, figuring she'd have shaken off the dust of their hometown a long time ago. A woman as addicted to action and adventure as he was, he thought she'd have moved on. But she was still there, and every bit as distracting as she'd been when they were teens. Jenna Turner never got over Dustin, but moved on with her life, establishing herself as a news reporter for the local station. In an effort to take on more than reporting social events and weddings, with the help of a cousin and an inside connection on the police force, she chases the hotter news items, determined to make her break into the national news scene. Now that his father is on the mend, Dustin tests the heat with his old flame and finds it's sizzling. When Jenna is taken hostage in a religious compound, Dustin and his brothers stage a rescue operation to bring her and others out alive.
Award-winning author Elle James grew up as an air force military brat. She received her work ethic from her rock-solid father, her creative streak from her artistic mother and inspiration from her writing partner and sister, Delilah Devlin. As a former member of the army reserves and a current member of the air force reserves, she's traveled across the United States and to Germany, managed a full-time job, and raised three wonderful children. She and her husband have even tried their hands at ranching exotic birds (ostriches, emus and rheas) in the Texas hill country. Ask her, and she'll tell you what it's like to go toe-to-toe with an angry three-hundred-and-fifty-pound bird and live to tell about it!
Her adventures in the army and air force reserves, and the wild antics of her life on a small ranch in Texas give her fodder for mystery, suspense and humor in her writing. Elle writes gothic, paranormal mystery for the Harlequin Intrigue line and paranormal romantic comedy for Dorchester Publishing. A former manager of computer programming and project management professionals, Elle is happy she now has the opportunity to pursue her writing full time.
Why is it that otherwise rational adults hold decisions made during their teen years as absolute. This is the second book I've read recently that has this trope and I'm not a fan. Elle James writes a hot, steamy short novel with a decent suspense element.
As a teen Jenna Turner knew that Dustin Ford was not destined for the white picket fence and 2.5 kids. So, she set him free to pursue his dream and set about building a career in the only place she wanted to be, her hometown of Waco, Texas. She is a TV reporter whose beat is the social scene, but with helps from contacts in the police department she also chases the hotter stories which she hopes will give her a shot at the national stage. Now Dustin is back, however briefly, and Jenna wants another shot at forever with him.
When Jenna dumped him, Justin went into the Navy and became a SEAL. Now on emergency leave due to his father's heart attack, he comes face to face with the woman who broke his heart. Determined not to have a repeat experience, he vows to be the dumper not the dumpee this time around.
When Jenna's cousin contacts her about strange happenings at the commune she belongs to, Jenna smells a story and sets out to investigate only to wind up in a situation where she becomes the story instead of reporting it. With Jenna in danger, Dustin and his brothers have to figure out how to rescue her.

> > 8 SEAL's Deception 5 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy novel SEAL's Deception: Take No Prisoners book 8: Ben and Yasmin by Elle James and this review was given freely. Steamy and action packed with a glimpse into the Arabic culture this story of intrigue contains some violence but the violence seems less harsh then in prior novels. > > 9 SEAL's Deliverance (Take No Prisoners Book 9) 5 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy novel SEAL's Deliverance: Take No Prisoners book 9: Stingray and Lilly by Elle James and this review was given freely. A poignant and action packed military based intrigue founded on love and a close family of Navy SEALs as they battle against a terrorist with a vendetta against them. This crossover novel includes the Brotherhood Protectors series' former navy SEAL Hank "Montana" Patterson, his employee Tate "Bear" Parker,Tate's sister Lily and includes the SEAL Team 10's Sting Ray, Big Bird and Irish. Young love, lost love, regret. Communication would save devastation and heartbreak. Truth goes along way. Well intentions backfire. Dustin and Jenna fell into this trap. Both loved each other from high school. They thought they were protecting each other so they could reach their dreams. 10 years have passed. Dustin gies home when his dad has a medical emergency. He and Jenna run into each other literally. He does not want to be twice burned. All hell breaks loose with a religious sect. Death , destruction and more. Can they all come out alive. Can Dustin and Jenna convince themselves of the real? Lot of action, suspense, fate, soul searching. Good story. Again what did the future bring?
Elle James is a author that weaves reality and make believe together and gets magic. Each of her Seal books gives each man in the Unit his own story and works with his Seal brothers in far off places. And with an understanding with each of the wives that this is their job and way of life. That's ok because these same wives have jobs and careers that are just as dangerous as their husband's. E James is definitely an author you want to save in your library. Her books are worth the 2nd and 3rd or more readings.
3.5 Stars - These are short stories. Dustin and Jenny's story was good, but I wanted a little more... A more complete ending. I like this author's newer stories. They are much longer and are complete books.
I don't quite get the title. It was crazy about what happened in that place. She is a reporter but wants 2 b more in that line of work. He came back on emergency leave cause of his dad but once he seen her again he remembered how they used 2 b. Can they have a possible love 2gether again? It was pretty good. There's a few things that I didn't quite understand.
Dustin broke hearted Jenna gave him a chsnce vf to live his dream hoping he come back. What a very heart felt story with emotions running high a really great read
SEAL's Section by Elle James is jam packed with all the things I love about this series. The drama and action starts on page one and grabs my attention right away. There is suspense that had me clinging to the edge of my seat with bated breath wondering what was going to happen next. Then there is the intense attraction between Dusty and Jenna that is so hot it tinged my fingers while holding my kindle. The characters are awesome and well written. I have loved this whole series and SEAL's Seduction is certainly no exception.
Dusty Ford learns of his father's illness on his return trip from a dangerous mission. Dusty of course takes off right away to be with his family while his father is undergoing surgery for his heart. I loved this families connection. You can feel the love they have for each other and the connection even if they are not always together they are there for each other. I love when a book includes the family members, it gives a better sense of the characters background. Dusty is on hot and courageous man that I wouldn't mind having on my side if I was in need of help. This guy and his brother are capable of kicking butt and maybe asking questions later.
Jenna Turner is one dedication independent lady that will do just about anything to get the story and to get it right. She finds herself in some dangerous situations to get the story and her cousin Toby is usually right there with her filming as they go. Jenn is also very family oriented. This girl is willing to put her life on the line to help her family. I don't want to tell you too much because it will spoil the story for you. I will say this is a great storyline that I had me completely captivated.
I love the chemistry between Dusty and Jenna. These two were high school sweethearts that spilt to go on to their different dangerous careers. When they give into the attraction they find that maybe that love from so long ago might still be just as strong as they always believed it to be. Like I said the attraction and passion between these two was hot enough to tinge my fingers while reading the story. WOW, Elle James does a great job of showing the chemistry with her characters.
Overall there was not a thing that I did not love about this book. I loved the storyline, the family connections, the reunion love story, the drama and suspense, the characters are awesome as always. I hope that Ms. James might just give us a chance to get to know Dusty's brothers a little better, maybe with a story of their own. I have a feeling these two both have a love out there for them as well.
I was given the opportunity to read SEAL's Seduction so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on this great book.
I love the "Take No Prisoners" Navy Seal Series. This installment is a great addition to the series.
We find Dustin “Dustman” Ford and Jenna Turner and their challenges in this Sixth (6th) installment of Ms. James’ “Take No Prisoners” series. We met Dustin Ford in previous installments and we find him rushing from a successful mission in Somali to get to his father in Waco, TX who is in the hospital after a heart attack. We are introduced to his two brothers, Adam who is on the local swat team and Houston who is a member of the U.S. Army Delta Force.
Dustin was rushing through the hospital doors and ran, literally, into Jenna Turner. She had been accidently shot during a hostage situation that she got to close to the "news". She was the love of his life and they were engaged as teenagers. After 10 years, Dustin still had some feelings for Jenna, including anger because she “dumped him”. He left for the Navy and became a Seal, his lifelong dream.
Jenna still lived in Waco and was the local TV reporter. She was brave and courage taking on dangerous stories in order to break into the more meaningful stories and not just the local society news. Jenna came back to the hospital later and inquired on Dustin’s father’s health. She offered her extra bedroom for any of the Ford family instead of them driving back to the ranch or staying in a hotel. What she really wanted was for Dustin to stay in her extra bedroom because her body was reacting to his presence just has it had 10 years earlier.
As Dustin’s brothers teased him that since he and Jenna had broke up 10 years ago, they would like to take her up on the offer. Dustin would not allow that to happen. Dustin did take Jenna up on the offer and the passion and electricity was too much to ignore. Both, realized that nothing had changed their feelings for each other in 10 years, however, they failed to tell the other person their thoughts and feelings. Dustin decided he could not move forward and let Jenna shatter his heart again.
The second night, Dustin changed his mind and decided to stay with Jenna at least one more night or for the week he had in Waco before returning back to the Navy. However, Jenna decided she would help her cousin, Rebecca break free from, yet another commune in Waco, TX. Really? Rebecca called and wanted her help to get out of the Sweet Salvation commune because she when she turned 18 the following month, they wanted her to marry a member of the commune.
To find out who escapes the Sweet Salvation disaster and if Jenna and Dustin decide to tell the other that they still loved them. Find out, it is a good read and you won’t regret reading this installment.
This was a great story!! I really enjoyed it! Dustin and Jenna are very well written characters that drew me in from the very beginning. They have a past and because of that it really makes this story work for me. Dustin's father has had a heart attack and so he is called home right after he finishes his mission. At the hospital he runs into his ex that he has never stopped loving. Jenna is very surprised to see him and bumping into him brings everything back for her as well. She has been hiding her feelings for Dustin since she broke up with him so that he would follow his dream. Dustin doesn't know the true reason that she broke up with him. Jenna decides that she wants to see where this could go now maybe or at least try and get Dustin out of her system and head. Dustin doesn't want to get hurt again but he just can't say no to another chance with Jenna, the love of his life. Jenna has a cousin that has joined a religious commune and is now asking Jenna for help in getting her and her mother out. Jenna has no problem with that and heads straight toward danger without a thought and without letting Dustin know what's going on. Dustin isn't happy about it. This is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It will not cause any confusion or really feeling of being left out if you haven't read the others before this one. There is a little connection because Dustin mentions a few of his team but not much. If you've read the other stories and enjoyed them, this one will be no different. I recommend reading it if you are looking for something to enjoy.
Good story and lots of action. "Dustman", Dustin and his ex-fiancé meet up again. He's in town because his Dad had a heart attack. Jenna is a local news reporter who keeps getting into trouble. She has no sense of self preservation, I hate that. To me it's not daring or brave, it's stupidity, but oh well. She broke up with Dustin before SEAL training so he wouldn't miss out on his dream. Now she has her dream underway as she tries to get more attention as a reporter to go to national news. He stays with her while he's in town and things heat up. Great SEAL team guys, and his brothers, all alpha delicious. Jenna's careless, and now needs rescuing. She wants to get her cousin and Mom out of the church cult compound. Jenna's found and now they are in bigger trouble, there is a huge gun running business there. Luckily her camera man GPS'd her and Dustin and his brothers have to save her. Lots of action, hot sex, and a happy end to the tale. ENJOY !!!
A great second chance story with a nice amount of suspense.
Dustin and Jenna were engaged briefly over ten years ago. When Dustin is called home, due to his father’s illness, they run into each other again. Dustin’s heart was broken when Jenna broke off their engagement only a few days after she accepted his ring. During the ten years apart he became a Navy SEAL, fulfilling a dream, but he never forgot her.
He believes that Jenna broke things off so she could pursue her own career goals; Jenna doesn’t want him to know the real reason.
This book has a lot of great elements – a strong heroine, a strong but vulnerable hero, along with great secondary characters. I hope some of the secondary characters get their own books eventually – especially the hero’s hot brothers!
I read a beta copy of this book for the author and this is my honest opinion/review of the book.
Navy SEAL Dustin "Dustman" Ford makes an emergency trip home to Waco, Texas because he father is having open heart surgery. He runs over his ex-highschool sweetheart as he enters the hospital and finds Jenna Turner is now an adventurous reporter for local news. What he didn't expect for her to plan a SEAL's Seduction and how open he was to the idea.
Then he is joined by his brothers to help rescue her from a dangerous situation that is developing at a nearby religious cult, where Jenna's bravery wins his heart as her SEAL's Seduction works and Dustman finds his happy ending in the Take No Prisoners Series ~ Book 6.
I absolutely loved this story from the first page to the very last page!! This was the story of Dusty and Jenna who shared a past and have loved each other since high school, I love second chance love stories they both just needed to grow up and be who they needed to be to realize they still loved each other. Dusty always wanted to be a SEAL and now he's home to visit his family and he runs into the woman who broke his heart. This was a awesome story that was action packed and had steamy romance, what's not to love in this book. I love everything Elle James does and this didn't disappoint.
The SEALS on Elle James team are slowly finding their soul mates. We meet Jenna and Dustin in the story, when after he completed a mission he's sent home because his father is having heart surgery. Jenna works with her cousin, Toby, as a freelance news team. Dustin decides to rekindle his romance with her while he's home. There's a lot of action from the beginning to the end. All in all a great book.
This is the story of Navy SEAL Dustin "Dustman" Ford and Jenna Turner. As always Ms. James delivers a story full of action, suspense and great steamy romance !!! I love books about second chances. Dustin and Jenna meet after ten years. When they broke up they were both devastated. Will Dustin finally know why Jenna ended up the relationship? Will their attraction be stronger than everything else? Great book! And amazing second characters!!! Waiting for their stories soon!
SEAL's Seduction by Elle James is a fantastic read. This is a well written story with great characters, action, humor and spice. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Elle James. SEAL's Seduction is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited time available for reading. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This book was well written and edited. The storyline was so engaging from the first page to the last! The characters are so full of depth of emotions! Just a joy to read great addition to this series! Love the audio option!
