1. This book is appropriate for Kindergarten to fourth grade.
2. This book is an information book that has facts about space. On each page it lists strange but true fact about that particular component of space. It goes into detail about the moon, stars, and planets.
3. There is a lot of information in this book. Kids who are older would be able to read most of this book and there are enough pictures that break apart the words. Kids who are younger would be able to sit and listen as a teacher reads certain parts and look at the photos. Children in this age range will have a working knowledge of space and be able to understand and learn new concepts of space.
4. This book would be a great tool to use when a classroom has the theme of space, the moon or the stars. A teacher can use certain components of this book to connect it to their lesson. For example, a student can look at one of the pages of a planet and recreate it for themselves. Everyone in the class can draw a different planet and together the class can make a solar system!

1000 Facts About Space is an interesting Informational book written by Pam Beasant. This book mostly talks about space and how it was discovered and what is in space. Space is all existing matter and space are considered as a whole, it’s called the cosmos. Did you know that according to the calculations of scientists, space is approximately 13.8 billion years old? Also in Space, there are 9 planets; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Mars, and Jupiter. Well, Pluto is no more a planet because it’s too small for staying a planet. So now, it’s a dwarf planet. Also, space was discovered by Edwin Hubble hundreds of years ago. And did you know that our galaxy is called The Milky Way? Well, it contains about 100 billion stars and it would take about 100,000 years to travel from one side to the other. Very Cool!
The best part of the book 1000 Facts About Space was The Constellations. Well, constellations are patterns of stars in the night sky. The shapes they seem to make, were given names in ancient times, and they are still used today. The stars that make up the constellations aren’t really close to each other, sometimes the stars that look closest are really far apart. They just happened to form a pattern and so look like a group when viewed from earth. From the information of the book, the reader learns a lot about space and this book could help you a lot is Science for getting better grades, getting more information on space, and understanding how space works and what’s in space.
The most exciting episode in the book was when I read about the constellations because I really love stars and it's my favorite thing in space. However, the most disappointing moment in this book was when I finished it because honestly, this book was really interesting and fun to read. I would recommend this book to all the Science lovers because this book showed a lot of fantastic facts about space and it was really interesting to read.

1000 facts about SPACE by Pam Beasant is an awesome book that comes with a variety of interesting facts about space that everybody will love.There were facts that I didn't know.For example did you know that astronauts become a little taller in space?Each page there was a spot where there was strange but true facts which I loved.The book came with many pictures and illustrations of the planets in the solar system and the constilations.I read everything a second time because it was a great book.If you like reading about space then you will for sure like reading the book because it has many facts.I rate the book 1000 facts about space by Pam Beasant five the stars because of the facts and pictures on each page.I will for sure read the book again because it was so good.

I am not very happy about this book because it is outdated and still being sold as a new book.
Shame on the publishers for selling new copies when it has not been sufficiently revised.
Hey, Scholastic, guess what? Space knowledge changes fast! We bought it as a new book from a school flyer in 2013 and the Solar and Lunar Eclipse dates cover 1992-2000! Thanks a bunch.
The last space probe listed was launched in 1991!
The "Future" section mentions how the USA hopes to launch part of the Freedom Space Station in 1995! And so on and so on.
