Brown writes a running narrative between Crazy Horse and those around him with little sense of historical fact. Brown glorifies Crazy Horse as some sort of human deity with little regard to truth. Pales in comparison to Mari Sandoz's and Kingsley Bray's well researched & neutral portrayal of the Oglala Sioux warrior.

It is okay, There could be more research on Sioux tribe. There are some wise sayings.
