When the local grande dame is murdered, the local postman gets on the case. Told in shifting perspectives, that doesn't quite work. It felt like the author was trying to work his way out of writer's block.

I love this series. I bought and read the first ones years ago and finally found and read the last one. The author's son finished the book after his dad died and it was wonderful with the addition of the son's computer knowledge. I am now at the age of or older than most of the characters.

A rather unusual writing style. Not sophisticated

Ho hum mystery, but the characters are like something out of "Fried Green Tomatoes." Loved the characters.

I do enjoy this author. I like the easy pace and the different styles each character takes on when writing their versions of whats happening.
