There's only one Zubble-wump egg, from the Zubbulous Valley, and that one belongs to the Mullally family. This egg hatches only once every 82 years, and young Megan Mellally is acutally goind to be lucky enough to witness the great event, which happens tomorrow. To make sure no harm comes to the precious egg, Grampa Mullally enlists the egg-watching expert, Horton the elephant. But not even the hawk-eyed Horton can stop the thieving Grinch, who pulls a switcheroo and snatches the egg.
My Zander, who is only 5 and usually doesn't stay interested long in books with a lot of words in them, as glued to this book from the 2nd page. While I didn't like the girl disobeying her grandfather - still even that action can bring up some conversation between parent and child. I did love the ending and the God like all-knowing trait that helps save the day in the end. I believe that God does know the end from the beginning. He does know beforehand all the mistakes that were are going to make - not that we are fated to make mistakes - but that he knows us enough to know what we will do. And I know that He already has a plan on how to fix all the mistakes we make and to right all the wrongs.
