I found this book was wonderful for those using the tropical zodiac. I have not yet tested its assumptions against the sidereal zodiac. I would say this is probably aimed towards the intelligent beginner and intermediate. It only expands on the personality of the natal character not that currently being experienced in a progression.
Incredibly important book; The book lists the life task of the different zodiacs, and as such it helped me know mine, helped me know my archetype, helped me in understanding how the early environment affected me, why I behaved in certain ways, and what I need to change/ fix/ manage. In short, it helped me know who I am. The book is designed to help you know who you are and develop it further, vs Gina's other books which are designed to help you with Awakening. All of this and I didnt even look up my birth chart nor do I know how to read one! This isnt a guide to teach you how to do astrology, but it will surely help you know who you are and that's a blessing by itself. Thank you so much Gina forever grateful for you.
Also, it's mentioned several times about the chart being chosen, yet this is often not the case. With induced labors, and late and early births (I was born 2 weeks late), we can't actually always see the karma in someones chart, because we don't always get the chart we planned to.
The good news is, there are still plenty of ways to resolve karma, regardless of whether or not we got the chart we had planned to.
Overly simplistic with little explanation. It is more like a series of patchworked notes. A conjunction is an easy aspect like the trine and sextile but can be difficult depending upon the person. Ok, how would I know that? No answer. I found that most of my chart did not fit into her "system." I had a hard time finding someone who did. Her examples, sans charts, are meaningless.
