I enjoyed this book particularly because I live in Bedfordshire and have walked around Milton Ernest. My only criticism would be there’s a lot of information about the Carpetbaggers operations but less about where they flew from. The charters on Glenn Miller are interesting but I think have now been superseded with other information. He probably did just crash, not killed off by the secret service. However it’s a good book and well worth a read.
An intriguing account of joint British SOE and US OSS operations out of Britain during WW2, including a detailed look at the mystery of legendary band-leader Glenn Miller's disappearance
