His background is in mechanical engineering where he spent over thirty years working for Ford. He loves reading about strong female characters and can often be found laughing to himself as he listens to a book on his iPod.

He is now the author of more than eight titles in the genres he loves to read.
You start out on earth and end up in Othala. There is a killer who is using magic, with runes and blood sacrifices, to take over his planet. A duke is brought through a portal, Alex (a witch on our planet) accidentally breaks his leg. In all the chaos, Alex, Tomas, Michael, Sarah, and friends end up on the other planet.
now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.
The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.
i would highly recommend this author and this book.
If you want an escape from reality these two books will not disappoint! I'm very glad that I got to listen to them both back to back. I will mention two small complaints/issues since a true review should express the good and bad. (Possible Spoilers)
1. Douglas passes through a rune gate powered by blood magic to enter our world and immediately begins searching for the wizard that knows how to open the gate home. I feel like an opportunity was missed here. Why was he not concerned that someone might have to die for him to go home? Maybe he planned on having the wizard sacrifice someone who deserved it instead of a innocent. I think he should have struggled with the issue.
2.It was mentioned that those native to Earth would need to change clothes when they crossed through the gate, but when they met people on the other side, they made no comment about their odd clothes.
This is a great story for those who love to read of magic and fantasy. It was one that kept my interest. I just wanted to know what happened next. Great Read!
