Constructive Conflict: Building Something Good Out of All Those Arguments

Rate this book
Conflict in relationships is inevitable. If you haven’t had a conflict yet, you haven’t been paying attention.

Communication increases conflict. If you haven’t had a conflict yet, you haven’t really been talking.

Conflict is the beginning of a real relationship, not the end. If you haven’t had a conflict yet, you haven’t been real.

Violence is not conflict. Violence is conflict avoidance.

Conflict is like electricity, it can turn on a light, power change, or burn down the house. To enjoy the benefits of conflict, you need to know how to regulate it.

A short book, packed with wisdom, disarming humor, and refreshing directness, Constructive Conflict shows how you can manage your conflicts.

This is a really good book that explains what goes on in a conflict from both viewpoints and what you can do to improve your fight style so you both benefit. I would recommend a book like this for any couple to read before they are married. It would be helpful in many relationships. The author uses humor and language representative of some fight styles, which means it is an adults only book.

I got it with a work relationship in mind, but since this calls for two cooperative people, I'll just keep doing my half and hoping she retires soon. (I received this in a goodreads giveaway.)
