Rotter Trilogy #3

Rotter Apocalypse

Rate this book
The zombie apocalypse is about to reach its inevitable conclusion, but not before it unleashes a few more nightmares on Natalie Barzagan, Mike Robson, and Windows.

After breaking away from the rest of the group, Natalie and her Angels succeeded in getting the vaccine to the government-in-exile in San Francisco where Natalie joins the military effort to clear the West Coast of the living dead.

Robson destroyed the rape camp that had kidnapped Windows, but not until after she had escaped. Along with the remaining vampires and a band of camp stragglers, he sets off to build a new compound.

Windows and the ten-year-old girl she rescued from the camp are taken in by a kindly widower who gives them the opportunity to start over and heal their wounds, emotional and physical.

Just as Natalie, Robson, and Windows are settling into their new lives, each will be confronted with a final life or death decision that will decide their fates.

An incredible Journey through the zombie apocalypse

An epic story of how humans developed a virus that could cause the zombie apocalypse. That is not what it was originally intended to do but that’s what it ended up being. The vampire nation found out about it and decided they would release it on the vampire hunters. Unfortunately once released it began to destroy the world. Including the vampires. Follow a group of humans and the last few vampires as they strive to survive and defeat zombie apocalypse. A great cast of characters and a wonderful storyline. Many characters you will fall in love with and others you will despise. Do not get too attached to any of them though because it is the zombie apocalypse and people die. A roller coaster ride worth the E- ticket entrance fee. If you don’t get it that was an old Disneyland reference for the best rides. Enjoy

The finale part of this story is action packed and full of twists. The vaccine has reached the Government-in-exile and Robson has destroyed the rape gang but did not find Windows. With the military forces inoculated a push to take back the world from the zombies. Natalie and the remaining Angels have joined the ranks with soldiers from Alaska and Canada and are back in the thick of the fight. Robson is taking the few remaining people in his group plus survivors of the rape camp to find a new place to survive, that is until a 'thought to be dead' vampire and his new coven show up. When you have finished this book you will feel as if a part of your heart is left behind there...

As sad as seeing this trilogy end feels, it was a great ending. Danger and excitement continued all the way thru. I enjoyed every moment of this story.

I received this book for free via Goodreads First Reads.

I will start by saying this is book 3 in a trilogy and I have not read the prequels.

I will continue by saying the fact I have not read the prequels did not hamper my enjoyment of this book. I think I would enjoy the prequels as much as this one but it did work as a stand alone story too.

I found the book to be about the best of humanity. How we will fight to conquer our fears (portrayed by rotters) and our inner daemons (portrayed by vampires). If an apocalypse ever does happen there will be some humans fighting until the end. The book shows sacrifice, love and humanity at its best.

It gets 5 stars as I feel the author shows the best of humanity. The best of humanity will always ignore race and sexuality. Those are not what makes us human. The compassion we show for others does. This book shows human compassion when in the worst case scenario and I recommend it for that reason.

Excellent zombie fiction. Cleverly thought with plenty of bite.
Haven't read the other parts of this trilogy but it didn't really matter.
Surprised how hooked I was.
