I didn’t realize this was part of a series - it was recommended to me by a friend. That being said, I don’t think you need to read any of the other books to know what is going on in this one. Great plot with suspense and intrigue and I love how the speaker changes so many times throughout the novel. You get a better perspective of what the characters are thinking and experiencing. Good clean read.
Somewhere in the Angel series. All are delightful, simple, stories. A Grandfather looses his wife and granddaughter in a helicopter crash. However, he meets a young girl who looks just like his granddaughter. He gets a job that brings him into her life. Their lives are in danger but they have a wonderful guardian angel, his granddaughter, who is watching out for them.
Angel Island is a sweet book that is a great read for a lazy afternoon. The story of loss and of love is touching and serves as a great reminder to treat our loved ones with patience and tenderness. This book would be a great for middle school age kids and up. It definitely leaves you feeling happy.
It was a cute story, but a little cheesy for my taste, especially near the end. It was a little too unbelievable that it took the main character the whole story to put two and two together, and even then she had to be told....
I just love the angel series! Fun, silly, real, fantasy. I just found this one more. I was so excited. I thought I had read them all. Angels are all around us!
The author lets you hear both what the characters are thinking and speaking, and what their guardian angel is thinking. a fun read. the beginning is more intense than the ending, however.
