I really liked this series. It was a nice relationship book. The D/s wasn't too much and the romantic love scenes were sensual and tasteful. I wished Drake was a bit more Dom but he was very sweet. I really liked how they were always so honest with one another. None of that angsty misunderstanding that authors like to spring on their heroines.

As for stuff I didn't like: as I said, Drake really could have been more Dom. There was way too much "vanilla" in these books. Even Kate and Drake thought so! Also, it grew tiresome how every time a reference to something from the past was made, a recap of where the reference came from was made... Every. Single. Time. Recap unnecessary ! I would have liked more of a resolution to the child Liam storyline. I also would have liked them to have their own child and experience that happiness with them.

Lastly...the author really likes the word "ebullient. Lol. Makes me chuckle.

I really liked this series and the final installment, Unrestrained, was a fulfilling ending to Drake and Kate's story.

After they agree on how to proceed with their relationship in The Commitment and make their move together to Nairobi, the story picks up again. Once they arrive here, there are both internal and external influences that threaten their relationship.

The story unfolds nicely and the timeline does not seem rushed. The reader feels for both of them equally. Additionally, the D/s is not overwhelming and well written.

This is a wonderful read and I can't wait for more from Ms. Lund.

I finally went back to my trusty TBR shelf and read this and I am so glad I did. I loved book 1, book 2 fell a little flat for me, but this book made me fall right back in love with the series and remember why I started reading it in the first place.

I've always been intrigued by this series because it begins with Kate being "curious" about the D/s lifestyle and just wanting to use her journalism career as a way to research it without fear of being judged for her interest in BDSM. Books 1 and 2 continue with Kate and Drake exploring their relationship and what works for them individually and together. At the end of book 2, Drake takes a surgical teaching position in Kenya and Kate decides to follow along with him so they can continue their relationship without others' trying to break them apart. Or so they thought...

Book 3 was fairly emotional in that the theme centered on Kate's perceived inadequacies and finding herself and her own life while Drake is busy with teaching and surgeries. Kate feels Drake is the one for her, but she doubts whether she can really keep him happy. Drake also feels he has to prove himself to Kate in order to put her mind at ease that she is the one for him. Their relationship is tested several times and there are several individuals and obstacles they have to overcome as a couple.

It was a perfect ending to the series for me. At times, I wanted Drake to be a bit more Dom with Kate in this book; but on the other hand, his gentleness and the way he slowly worked her into their relationship and lifestyle just felt right. I believe, in the end, that was the point of the book right? No one can define your relationship other than you and the person you're in the relationship with. It just made me feel whole and complete... nothing else was needed.

This is/was one of my favorite books in this genre. The male character (Drake) has a very warm personality besides beeing a dominant man. The story is not the usual setting, like rich, good looking alpha meets very young good looking unexperienced girl. That kind of story became boring after a few books.
The author knows what she is writing about. The story is settled in the medicine world. The story is round in itself, thrilling and sexy without overdoing it. (I don't like reading books, where there is sex in every chapter). I recommand it to everyone who likes reading a good lovestory and does not mind a bit of hot sex.

I love the continuation of Drake and Katherine story this was an excellent read. I love how the author picked up where they left off and I really enjoyed watching Katherine faith in herself and her relationship with Drake eventually grow and become more solid. They have such great chemistry and I love the fact that Drake is secure in himself and knows what he wants and what Katherine needs which helps to dispell all of her insecurities. This was such a pleasure to read and I enjoyed all three books. This author did such a great job with character development and tying in all loose ends the book had good flow.

I loved this story Kate finally stood up for what she believed. Drake so sweet romantic, caring, and all around hunk. I'm sad the story ended I wish we could find out more about drakes child Liam. Did dawn Kate renew their frienship? Where they spend their honeymoon? And if they had any children? Did drake ever confronted the manipulative Claire? I guess every good story most come to an end at one point. Awesome author the story just flowed easily. Loved the whole series.

What a great ending to the series! I loved seeing Kate and Drake's relationship continue as they moved to Africa for Drake's teaching semester. There was plenty of drama that kept you on your toes, pissed off, and frustrated, but seeing them grow together through it all was well worth it... S.E. Lund did a great job with tying everything up and giving us a satisfying ending...

I loved this series and am looking forward to the forth book. I feel that the series ended well and the fourth book will be just an added bonus. I fell in love with Dr D right from the beginning, and he kept my interest throughout the 3 books.

A really good read and definitely something that I would re-read.

I look forward to reading more by this author

So I have finished the series. This last book helped redeem the series overall. I am happy that I read it. The first and third books are heads and shoulders above the second book. If you aren't looking for continuous adult content and can enjoy the story, you'd enjoy the series. If you are looking for a window into something unfamiliar, this may not be the right choice. Very tame D/s.

"He'd broken all his rules for me, to be with me, to have me. I was his and he was mine, completely."

I loved this series! One of my favorite D/s trilogies. The author writes the story so beautifully! Sad the story is over.....maybe she will write more.

book 3

This was book 3. The story picked up right were book 2 ended so you really need to read the books in order. Believe it it’s well worth it and you won’t put it down. My only negative comment is that there is a lot of repeating lines.
Overview: Drake and Kate were on their way to Africa. Drake will be super busy with teaching, working cases with Michael and balancing home life. Friends get between Drake and Kate, and they need to find the balance and see what is really in front of them. Kate is exploring her art as well and pushed to fell. But when Kate’s dad is sick and they come home, they finally see what is really important in their life, and how important their love is.

A Great Addictive Read

This series as a whole has really gotten me hooked. It's dramatic, filled with lots of steamy scenes (this is NOT a pg read...in case that wasn't obvious), and the storyline is fun. Yes, it addresses BDSM, but it's not just that and I appreciate it. Kate and Drake are in no means unique characters, but I like them. My only real complaints are that it gets a little redundant in descriptions at times (a reoccurring theme in all the books) and the antagonistic elements are rather predictable, but I'll still be enjoying the remaining books in the series.

I felt like this book was essentially a reiteration of all the problems of the second book without many new developments. Kate is insecure and jealous of Drake's former lovers; she's unsure how far into D/s she wants to go; Drake is also jealous; people they know don't want them together... but they make it through and get married (this is, admittedly, a big new development in this book). Overall I was starting to get bored with the characters. It could have just been my mood while reading it the past few days, but I don't think I'll be continuing the series.

Six of the best books I have read.

This was a wonderful book. All the thrills , love, and mystery contained and written in a great love story. Beautifully written and wonderfully descriptive of the characters, backdrop and emotions. This was hard to put down. Each of the books were art ten first in her words then the Drake Series in his words and the remaining two books told by both Kate and Drake.

This was so frustrating a read at times. You should always report blatant sexual harrassment, ASAP.. I understand it helped the plot along, but that part really irked me.

And the hypocrisy.. Don't get me started. I enjoy the series, but this was the weakest one thus far. Everything seemed to be about the drama, but only skirting around the issues. And how many times can you go back and forth trying to decide if a creep is a creep or not? 🤦‍♀️

After reading book three in this series, I find myself totally invested in the lives of Drake and Kate. This book takes them through their trip to Nairobi, family issues, and various friends trying to break them apart. This couple really comes to know each other and themselves very intimately in many ways. I'm really enjoying taking this journey with them. On to the next book.

Really enjoying the series. The love and the kink. Although I find myself wondering about the kink...lol not sure how fun that would be all the time. But I was glad to see that despite the challenges drake n Kate faced they made it! Good book. Can't wait to read the last one.

Late and Drake are going to Africa and they are excited and have high hopes for this trip. But they face some serious challenges from old relationships, to a persistent Dominant, to Drake hectic schedule and even a meddling friend. Kate faces the things she feared with Drake but is determined to take them head on.

The story continues and I enjoyed the book, however very predictable. Each situation described left you knowing exactly where the situation was going. Not as good as the first two books but am enjoying the series. What I did like about this book is Kate has finally grown enough as to not run from the problem, discussed her feelings with Drake, and stood up for herself in conflict.

Eventful

The second book was very eventful and fulfilling depiction of Drake and Kate's bond. I'm very excited to read book 3 but most of all this book has made me more than curious to read Frames versions as well.

Creo que estoy demasiado acostumbrada a leer libros con mucho drama porque me costó mucho avanzar en algunas partes. De todas formas, me encanta la historia de Kate y Drake y de verdad espero sorprenderme un poco más en el siguiente libro

Great love story where it was less of a D/S relationship and more of a life love story. It grew tiresome at points but it all worked out in the end
