Good intro to unity. As a beginner, it introduced me to the tools available and the basics of using them. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Exactly what I was looking for in a beginner Unity book

It's been years since I've taken a deep dive into Unity, so I wanted to make sure I had a good review before I started on working with code. Patrick's book was just what I was looking for. It's great as a review of going over the basics of Unity and its is just right for those that are just starting out. I highly suggest using this book to get started on your Unity journey of as a review for those that have been away for a while.

Helpful but out-dated with newer versions of Unity. But that doesnt matter too much. What I will say though is that the "Download this" links should be at the start of the chapters so you can be prepared prior to the lesson ahead. It does state this at the start of the book but could stand being there too I feel.

Typos interfere with otherwise good book

The content in this book is good and the concepts are well explained. The constant typos raise questions about the quality control of the content however.

Hits all the right points for a beginner.

Got me going quickly in Unity, now to learn some C# to go with it in the next book in the series.

No c# coding!

This book is very good, but it does not teach the c# language.
It is a pretty big bummer.

Still a good book, though!
