Brian’s resurrection by Duke and Alec is only one of the new complications the Mad Dogs face when their sniper cannot control his feeding frenzies, even with Duke’s help.

I think so far this is my most anticipated book yet from Brenda Cothern and her Mad Dogs. The last book left on a cliffhanger, so I was so excited when this book finally came out. Some questions get answered, but there are a ton more questions that get raised in this series. While I did receive an ARC for an honest review, I'm also planning on buying a physical copy to complete my set, so far, of the series. This shifter series is far different from others that I read and follow, and the differe ...more

A Good Read

I enjoyed the ongoing story (series) of the Mad Dogs. This story was suspenseful and left me waiting, not so patiently for the next book. I want to find out what happens to the Dogs next. A Good Read.

Remember what a disaster the mad dogs R&R was in book 4? This book carries on from there and the team is a mess. Doc is in coma and Brian is out of control and in the midst of all the drama the team is once again under threat. As mated pairs they are working well and trying to do their best but as a team the cohesion is missing and they need to rectify this before the council arrives with their nefarious plans.

This story is all about recovery and how the team
This series just keeps getting better. The introduction of things like portals, other supernatural beings, and created werewolves discovering there are natural-born werewolves, has me hooked. Hot alpha-male military shifters are at the top of my favorites list, too. Can't wait to read the next book, A.W.O.L., and I hope the series continues.

Also really love the fact that the author lives right across the bridge from where I was born and raised in Florida. That she is a huge supporter of some ve

I love books in a series and I love the Mad Dogs. I think this is the best Mad Dogs book to date only because now we are getting to the story. The other books were like information on the Mad Dogs now we want to know what will happen with B is he going to be able to control his feedings. Will M, B and Docs blood continue to mutate. Will the remaining Mad Dogs find 3 more recruits to change. Will they all be able to make it to shadows in 2 weeks. What will Dukes role be now in the group. Plus man ...more

Brenda Cothern has done it again! Another awesome book in the Mad Dogs Series. Chapter 20 is the best chapter I have read in a long time. I can't wait for the next book.

I just completed the 5th book. I feel like the series is finally FINALLY filling out. I’ll be honest, I nearly walked away after the first book. I mean it felt like I was just reading some form of porn. I stuck it out though bc I’m ocd about finishing books I start and the audio I have paired 1&2 together. So I continued. 2 felt the tiniest bit better so I read 3 hoping the author would catch their stride. Book 4.... what the heck do I just read/listen to? Anyway, there is a book series I ab ...more

It seems we’ve been waiting forever for this next installment in Brenda Cothern’s Mad Dog series. OK, so it has only been like 8 months, but seriously…it felt like a lot longer!

This current installment, aptly named S.N.A.F.U, picks up immediately after the end of book four, R&R. These books really need to be read in order, or you won’t at all understand who everyone is, particularly with the use of only their fir

Once again Cothern completely blows me away with this series! With each book that I read, I think that it can’t be topped. And then I’m proven wrong.

I would say that this book shouldn’t be read as a standalone, for the simple fact that you would miss out on so much background information on the Mad Dogs. Granted, Cothern does give enough information that you would be able to pass by without having read them, but I wouldn’t suggest it.

Cothern has a skill in writing the characters so well that you

I absolutely love this series...although, I have to say that this book wasn't my favorite. I was so excited to read this, feels like I have been waiting forever for this book and that probably added a little to my disappointment. I thought the book moved the story along and I am looking forward to the next one to see what happens, but I just didn't connect with it. I think sometimes this happens with series, I can think of a couple other series I have read where one of the books just di

Felt like I've waited ages for this after the madness of R&R!

Love this series and this installment had me reading on the edge of my seat - so much going on right from the first pages with watching the guys dealing with all the changes forced on them. Loved how much M supported B no matter what and the love and faith he had in him :)

Each of the mated pairs in this team work so well together as well as a unit altogether.

Lots of drama and tension in this book dealing with an impending full co
Lately I've had a hankering for the combustion of m/m and military. Maybe it's all of the male machismo and tattoos (wink). Throw in the absolutely hot vampire (Duke) and my my - it's a group that I became attached to very quickly.

This is the fifth book in the series and it was probably my favorite of the bunch (hoping it's not the last!!).

The intensity for book 5 was more around the relationships - dealing with the aftermath of bad stuff, letting your guard down, and trying to move out of surv
