The Global Mind and the Rise of Civilization: The Quantum Evolution of Consciousness

Rate this book
How the global mind drives the evolution of both consciousness and civilization

• Explains how our brains receive consciousness from the global mind, which upgrades human consciousness according to a pre-set divine time frame

• Reveals how the Mayan Calendar provides a blueprint for these consciousness downloads throughout history

• Examines the mind shift in humans and the development of pyramids and civilization in ancient Egypt, Sumer, South America, and Asia beginning in 3115 BCE

In each culture the origins of civilization can be tied to the arising of one concept in the human straight lines. Straight and perpendicular lines are not found in nature, so where did they come from? What shift in consciousness occurred around the globe that triggered the start of rectangular building methods and linear organization as well as written language, pyramid construction, mathematics, and art?

Offering a detailed answer to this question, Carl Calleman explores the quantum evolution of the global mind and its holographic resonance with the human mind. He examines how our brains are not thinking machines but individual receivers of consciousness from the global mind, which creates holographic downloads to adjust human consciousness to new cosmological circumstances. He explains how the Mayan Calendar provides a blueprint for these downloads throughout history and how the global mind, rather than the individual, has the power to make civilizations rise and fall. He shows how, at the beginning of the Mayan 6th Wave (Long Count) in 3115 BCE, the global mind gave human beings the capacity to conceptualize spatial relations in terms of straight and perpendicular lines, initiating the building of pyramids and megaliths around the world and leading to the rise of modern civilization. He examines the symbolism within the Great Pyramid of Giza and the pyramid at Chichén Itzá and looks at the differences between humans of the 6th Wave in ancient Egypt, Sumer, South America, and Asia and the cave painters of the 5th Wave. He reveals how the global mind is always connected to the inner core of the Earth and discusses how the two halves of the brain parallel the civilizations of the East and West.

Outlining the historical, psychological, geophysical, and neurological roots of the modern human mind, Calleman shows how studying early civilizations offers a means of understanding the evolution of consciousness.

Fun book. However, not an acedemic account/theory. The author uses lots of small jumps in logic to explain his point, but is adament that his assumption is correct in in conjunction to another coinciding theory on the same subject matter.
Author seems quite stern with drawing a line in the sand that seperates his work with the work of "Ancient Aliens" believers - However, this leads the author to completely ignore or discredit other "evidence" or theories as to not align with other researchers. This is understandable but makes me feel the author isnt considering all or even most evidence, if it doesn not align with his theory.
My main issue with the book is the stern dating of different time periods, with no wiggle room. I believe this is because the theory only works IF the dates proposed are considered accurate.
Overall - Fun read, good for research of commanalities across various ancient cultures/myths. 3/5

This is the fourth book the author has “...written in the English language where the Mayan calendar provides the basic understanding of the fundamental structuring of evolutionary time.... primarily as a description of the evolution of consciousness.”

The author writes in his preface that the first three books are background to “facilitate the understanding of the present book,” but are not necessary to understand this book.

Chapter one presents the direction this first volume in The Paradigm Shift Trilogy will take.

“It is the purpose of this book to bring clarity to what the mind is and while doing so, bring an understanding of what caused the rise of civilization on our planet.”

While this reviewer found many interesting hypotheses in this book, without a background in the Mayan calendar, ancient civilizations, or his previous works, the clarity proposed in the purpose was not easy to discern. His new theory of our origins makes the reader rethink many commonly held theories, which is to its credit.

This is a book not to be read quickly. The best comparison that comes to mind is the diligence required to comprehend a college level textbook for a new course taken. Without benefit of an instructor or class discussions to give direction, this is especially heavy material to read.

As previously stated, without previous background knowledge, this reviewer believes to fully appreciate this book requires extensive research to grasp that knowledge on one’s own. While some new ways of looking at the mind and the beginning of our civilization does show through, the language used to share them did not attain the full clarity proposed as the author’s purpose.

This book presents a philosophical theory based on extensive historical information of the ancients of our civilization and the Mayan calendar. There is substantial presentation of research and theory, backed by extensive reference notes.

This is not a book for every reader, but for one fascinated by its premise, it offers food for thought.

Author Carl Johan Calleman makes the case that human consciousness is tied to the core of this planet via consciousness fields, making humans in essence part of the consciousness of the planet.

His view is that the ancients such as the Mayan, Egyptians, Sumerians and Jews were well aware of this connection, and understood its method of operation. He puts forward the idea that The Mayan Long Count is the Mayan expression of the Mayan understanding of how human consciousness has progresed ever higher, in a series of "baktuns" or "days" or "nights" of the long count. These "days" or "nights" can last for a thousand years or more.

He shows how physical structures such as the pyramids all over the globe were built around the same period, as just one example of how the shift in global consciousness permeates human consciousness all over the planet.

Definitely worth a read, as the book is food for thought. I leave it up to the reader to decide if Carl Johan Calleman is on the right track or not.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Dr. Calleman's books and this one was just as intriguing. The unique hypothesis of the holographic download to the collective mind and how this could be the factor that disconnected humanity from a deeper connection with Earth and the animal kingdom, which brought about human civilization and the separated self makes a lot of sense to me. His dismissal of any ET contact in regards to the rise of civilization does not sit right with me. I believe there is ample evidence that proves otherwise. But I do agree that it is very possible, because of the scientific proof that this is a holographic universe, that a new download, a new holographic paradigm over 10,000 years ago is one of the causes of human civilization and human separation. I look forward to the next book this new trilogy, "The Nine Waves of Creation: Quantum Physics, Holographic Evolution, and the Destiny of Humanity" which will be released this November 26, 2016 with Barbara Hand Clow writing the forward.

Great book on Human Consciousness, Evolution of the Mind and How the the pre-count, Long Count based on the Maya System still hold true in today's world. Discussion about 5,300 years ago Ancient societies got a new geometric download where they can decipher the 8-partitioning sides of The Global Mind. The Divine Mind and sacred Geometry has come into effect about 5,300 years ago with the advanced of many civilizations like the Mayans and Egyptians. Great books to read and the author has very good evidence to suggest what he is think and claiming to be true. I enjoyed the book great, it is a great book to re-read and keep in your permanent collection.
