Being the Bad Boy's Victim #1

“Babe, you might want to close your mouth… unless you’re offering something, if you know what I mean…”

For Bellatrix Brown, going back to America was like eating an entire bowl of broccoli—absolutely revolting. Returning to that country meant leaving the people she cared about in London.

Connor Michaels, the devilishly handsome bad boy of the school, never really cared about anything, especially not about girls. His usual game: use them then lose them…that is, until he came upon a stunning British belle.

The day Bella and Connor's paths crossed, seats were overturned, hot spaghetti was spilled, and sexual innuendos were flung around like confetti.

But the more Connor tortured Bella, the more he found himself inexplicably drawn to her, and the more he began to behave amusingly unlike himself.

Will Bella continue to be the bad boy's victim? Or will she be able to do what no other girl has ever done before—catch his heart?

Join them in this hilariously spunky love story full of twists and turns, dark pasts, and even a dangerous stalker. If you want a book that has the emotional drama of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants mixed with the parental neglect of The Secret Garden then you’ll want to read Being the Bad Boy’s Victim.

Terrible Read

I love bully romances but this was just terrible. It was very juvenile and actually read like it was written by a teenager
After 40% I began skimming and was happy to be finished.

I started this book years ago, when it was just a story on Wattpad. I recently rediscovered it and had to get it on my kindle!
Thoroughly enjoyed it and my teenage heart was happy!

Wtf, when did this happen? (Liam took her virginity, viktigt att veta). Asså början på denna boken var verkligen lovande, väldigt mycket chliche, but what to expect from a wattpad book really? And I did.... big mistake. Dont read it, man får inget avslut.

Pinsamt.

2.5 stars, actually.

Mostly because I just.. Can't stand the heroine. Like seriously. Plus the Hero is not better either. They fight but then they fall in love but the girl can't make up her mind and the boy can't stop being a dickhead. And as much as I try to like it, the plot twist is just.. Unnecessary. So yeah. This book made me tired but for quite a while, the beginning of the book brings me happiness. I love that kind of bullying, the kind that made the bully feel guilty. If only the story didn't ended up childish like this..

So yeah, overall good book. It's just not.. My cup of of tea. In a way.

I won this book from the GOODREADS giveaway, and it was a light and ordinary love-hate story that contains a stubborn girl and a playful guy who keep denying that they love each other the whole book. I won't say that i haven't enjoyed this book. It was funny and cheerful with a good twisted end, but there were some flat and expected scenes where you had to skip a few pages. Actually, l recommend this one for those who love romantic comedy series or movies, for it is light funny and uncomplicated.

Loved this book! It may not be the best work of Claire Monette, but it is definitely a great start to her writing career. The style, plot, and word choice made this book enjoyable. Definitely a fun and dramatic read, and kept me interested. Can't wait for new works from Claire!

There’s just so much to say, and trying to tell you what’s good and bad about this book is like… really hard. But I’ll try.

About fifteen minutes later

Ngl, I didn’t read the random attack at the haunted house as being the beginnings of a stalker, because this book is so outrageously stupid and random, that it just reads as another incident that would happen once then never be mentioned again.

This book is like taking drugs- in the sense that outrageous things happen on the reg and it’s totally normal. One minute you’re chilling in school, minding your own business. The next, Connor Michaels is pressing some poor girl up against and practically inside of her locker with like, jacked superman bulletproof abs, and no one bats an eye.

This dude literally throws her (Bellatrix) out of her seat, calls her a slut, a whore, and then knocks her out during P.E, before dumping hot food on her during lunch and leaving her with minor burns- on her first day of school. And people just… go about their lives, like this man isn’t the worlds most nefarious villain, who has singlehandedly screwed his way through an entire grade of girls (apparently the weird ones too, but there are no paper-eating girls in this school so nvm).

He also fulfills every trope. There is literally nothing Connor Michaels cannot do- like this man is top of his class, a tutor and football star, but is also the “bad boy” with a criminal record, a track history of pummelling random football players into the ground, and climbing ferris wheels??

He’s also so infamous he doesn’t need a Halloween costume, he just goes as himself.

That being said, I love this book. It’s so stupid it’s amazing. I found it on wattpad when I was 13, and it lived in my head for so long, that it brought me back to reading it as a published work at 24.

I couldn’t remember anything, and what I read honestly leaves me breathless. Honestly, I’m rendered sputtering and speechless at almost every line. Everything that happens is like- “outrageous move from Connor Michaels, Bella cries, everyone laughs/cheers/gasps” and done. Theres also the scenes where generally big revelations are made, or insinuated, and then Bella just… goes to sleep.

And yet- it is the best thing I have ever read.

For example: tell me, what other author uses show and not tell in a fantastic display of emoji usage. “Her eyes snapped up and she made a face—this to be exact: 😐”.

It’s awful, but it’s good. It had me screaming with laughter and practically shouting “NO!!” Every minute, but I’m so glad it remains unchanged. Because if this book was written any other way, it just wouldn’t be worth it.

10/10, will read again

Oh my god I can't even begin to tell how awful the book was. The beginning was somewhat okay so that's what made me not stop reading it but after reading 30% of the book I knew what I had gotten myself into. It was first on wattpad so I would not be surprised if it was written by a teenager. The plot twists had me facepalming the entire time. The book was dragged on for so long, it could have been a bit more concise. At the end I was just glad that it was over

F4 look alike. Lol

Besides the sex scene, sexual innuendo, and vulgar language it was okay. If you are fan of Asian drama such as Boys over flowers and Meteor Garden than you will enjoy reading this book. Sometimes there scenes where the author tells you something is cliche' and I think why point that out. When writing fiction I think it good practice not to make it obvious that something is cliche' by stating is was cliche' for something to happen. Stating so reminds you are reading a book and then your mind is taken back to reality instead of being swept into story.

This book was AMAZING. I was reading it on WattPad and then all of a sudden it told me to go buy it in the middle of the book. I WAS SO ANGRY AND SAD. Normally, i would have just got rid of the book and forget about it, but something made want to go buy it. I did a free trial on Kindle Unlimited just so i could read your book! I enjoyed the book very much and recommend it to people who are about to read it. Very interesting story, i completely fell in love with it to the point where my mom kept yelling at me to get off the kindle app. I loved the book. 5/5 completely!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

I started reading this book on wattpad, just this morning. I couldn't put it down! It's currently 1:23am and I have just finished it. Even though you have to pay to finish reading the book, it was well worth it. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this story. You had me in tears.
