Cover of the 1982 Avon mass-market. They sure don't make 'em like this anymore. ------------------------------------------ What a deceiving cover and tagline. Even the horror label is debatable, though there were a couple minor chills scattered about. Mostly, however, it's endless conversations and worrying over a sick young boy, with dialogue bordering on pure cringe. The supernatural elements were barely present for the majority, which wouldn't be a big deal if the back cover copy didn't focus so heavily on them. Occasionally these old paperback originals are unjustly forgotten, but this isn't one of those, imo. At least it was only 200 pages. The cover painting's pretty nifty too.
