Another good suspenseful read from Virginia Vaughan. I'm really enjoying this series and the comraderie amongst the ranger buddies, especially how they are always there for each other. I especially liked the faith element in this story - the tie to Joseph's story in Genesis and the reminder that God is always with us, especially in times of suffering. One of my favorite parts was when Matt remembered that "nothing he did could rescue him......Instead he gave the matter to God, and waited."

Nail Biter!

This book was such a nail biter! All the twists and turns kept the book so interesting! It was so good that I read in the car while my husband was driving and during commercials (and even while the tv show was on- shh don't tell my husband). The characters and theme all came together to make it a touching, yet suspenseful story- exactly the way I like them!

This book was so boring I caught myself nodding off to sleep quite a few times. The romance was practically non existent there is barely one kiss only in the entire story. The entire book was focused on the drug ring plot that just didn't ring any bells for me. The two primary characters didn't do any romance. Disappointed!!!!

As a person who used to work in the school system, I found this story very scary. When high school teacher Claire finds one of her students murdered in her classroom, the story takes on a plot that could happen in any classroom today. A new drug has made its way into the school but who is the ringleader? You may be surprised.

Whew, what a page turner! A veteran/DEA officer and a school teacher have to solve drug related crimes from their small town, but the bad guys keep getting to the evidence ahead of them! I really enjoyed the fast pace and the characters, though there were several implausibly plotted scenes that keep me from adding another star.

This is the second book in the series. And I loved it!! Matt feels defined by an event from his past. Can’t we all relate to that? I loved how the author weaved the story of Jospeh through the whole book.

Very good, Easy and fast paced read. At first I felt like it was like all the other harlequins I've read, but this one was a little different. I liked that it had a different setting and plot then other love inspired suspense books. I didn't care too much for the main character claire, but I loved Matt :) I also liked that the book had 2 men for her to choose from. I did guess who was involved early in the book, then my suspicions turned out to be right in the end. With that being said I wish the love inspired would be less predictable. For instance if one of the main characters died in the end and it wasn't a " Happily ever after" like they all are would make it even better for me since that wouldn't be something I would predict to happen. The ending was different in this one which I really really liked ( the wedding scene ) I don't want to say much more and give the book away, but I enjoyed it, I read it within a few hours and only put it down a few times to finish things in real life lol. I will be looking for more if this authors books to see what her other books are like, I'm also going to be mailing it to my friend in Sri Lanka :) Enjoy ♡

Claire Kendall is a high school chemistry teacher. When a student sends her a text, she goes to her classroom over the weekend to meet him and discovers he's been killed. Before she can leave the room, someone also grabs her. Before he can also kill her, a man she used to know who's now a DEA agent rescues her.

Matt Ross was the reason Claire still limps. He'd been driving drunk after their high school prom when their car ran off the road. Shortly after he graduates, he leaves home, joins the Army and becomes a Ranger. When he's injured, he joins the DEA, determined to make something of himself. The last person he expected to see again when he's assigned to bring down a drug runner targeting teens is Claire.

When she is accused of killing the student and it's clear to Claire and Matt that she's been set up and is now a target of the killer, Matt is determined to keep her safe even as he goes after the person making and selling the drugs.

How they eventually solve the mystery is shocking. Who would have guessed who is behind it all?
