I picked this up from the thrift store for ten cents figuring it wouldn't be much of a loss if it was bad. It was amazing!!!!
Do you like morally grey characters? This book has tons.
Do you like hope? This book has tons.
Do you like found family? This book has tons.
Do you like Christian influence? This book has tons.
This book is not for the faint of heart. It talks about child sacrifice. It talks about slavery. It talks about adultery. It talks about murderous treachery. It talks about facing and overcoming your past.
There is just so much packed into this book. I adore it. It has some of the best romance ever. I don't want to give spoilers, because you should read it.

Nice combo of Truth and a setting of a Tolkien-like genre.

I own this book and I read it years ago. It's the immortal story of good and evil. An evil magician, Crotalus has stolen the souls of the children, including Merry the King's daughter, leaving their barely breathing bodies comatose and to be cared for by loved ones.

This has set the best knight in the kingdom, Falcon Jaqueth on his trail. Falcon knew Crotalus long back in time when they were both young, both loved Rafaela and the magician hadn't yet turned evil. Since Rafaela's untimely death, Crotalus has descended into the depths of evil. But even this is a new low for him.

How far will Crotalus go to to avenge himself on his worst enemy, will Falcon come to terms with Rafaela's death, and his inner demons or will they triumph over him.

Who will stop Crotalus? Can he be stopped? Reunite the souls of the children with their bodies? And bring peace and prosperity back?

A fantasy novel for teens and older, it deals with strong Christian themes of inner and outer darkness, wickedness, motives, demons, surrender to God and trust in Him to set things right his way.

I loved this novel with its strong Christian overtones. I was lucky to pick up my copy for a song from a local bookshop.

An evil wizard is threatening the realms of Corigo and Paduan. Crotalus is stealing the souls of the children and holds the king's son prisoner. The only hope lies in the Forgotten City with a woman Falcon believes died years ago. A wonderful tale of valiant deeds, evil foes, and unexpected allies. This tale is Christian themed, but not overtly so. It is a fine and enjoyable story.
