Over the next five to ten years, it's predicted that more than 50,000 strategic ministry leadership positions are going to be filled. Who will these leaders be? And more importantly, who will prepare them for these positions?
Mentoring Leaders offers a unique angle on what it takes to prepare transformational leaders for today's church. While addressing the different phases of leadership development and mentoring, as well as the characteristics of a dynamic and effective leader, Carson Pue focuses on the element of spiritual development.
The invaluable insights and wisdom found in this book will give emerging leaders new strength to follow their calling as it helps them sharpen their vision, shape their values, and share their leadership adventures.
I was reading the Indonesia version, but I think I'll get a copy of the English version because this is a very detail book about mentorship. I believe mentoring and being mentored is essential in our service to God because we need to be accountable in our ministry, our life and every aspect of our walk with God. This book covers a comprehensive process flow of it that's sure to be useful to any mentors and mentees in their journey with God. Will be using it as a guide for my future discipleship embarkments.
Great book on mentoring leaders. If you want to transform your leadership then you need to become a mentoring leader and this book can help make that transition. The book is written for leaders in ministry, but business leaders could learn some things as well.
good focus on self-awareness, dealing with the past, and finishing well, otherwise similar to many other books on leadership, but with a slant toward how to effectively mentor developing leaders. 3.5 stars.
