Marimo Ragawa 羅川真里茂 was born on September 21 in Hachinohe, Aomori, but her age is not disclosed.
Marimo Ragawa first started submitting manga to comic magazines when she was only 12 years old, which is when she was in 6th grade of elementary school. She continued to send her manga to the same magazine for four years, but a positive critical reception was yet to come. Ragawa then decided to switch to a different magazine. Surprisingly, her first submission to this magazine, Hana to Yume, won a prize called the Top-prize. She succeeded in achieving her debut with her first manga, Time Limit.

Marimo Ragawa continues to draw other manga such as Aka-chan to Boku (Baby and Me), New York New York, and Itsudemo Otenki Kibun. She received the 1995 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo for Baby and Me. She continues to draw a tennis themed manga, Shanimuni-Go in Hana to Yume (Flowers and Dreams).

Marimo Ragawa's calm and cute design is one of the traits of her drawings. Her energetic drawing and characters are very attractive, even to non-manga readers. She is widely known for her great ability in describing complicated emotions, especially in New York New York and Baby and Me.
Her manga Mashiro no Oto has been nominated for the 4th Manga Taishō.

I love this manga!
By ending (by death of Mel and than by death of Kain)I cried very much. But I really enjoyed this beautiful story about their love. And side story was sweet...

So gut der Anfang und generell die Idee hinter der Geschichte war… so stark hat sie leider auch nachgelassen.
Schildert der Anfang der vier Bände die Probleme eines homosexuellen Paares und dessen Coming Out und die Probleme eines homophoben Umfelds (was mich ob der ehrlichen Sprache sehr überzeugen konnte), so verliert sich die Story plötzlich in einer wirren Thrillerhandlung (mit sexy Serienkiller), die unrealistischer nicht hätte sein können und mich obendrein zu Tode gelangweilt hat.
Am Ende wird dann noch tief in die Schmalzkiste gegriffen und einfach fett übertrieben… insgesamt mochte ich den überdramatischen Erzählstil überhaupt nicht. Auch das Artwork war streckenweise anstrengend.

This is the first time that a manga made me cry. I hoped that after all the two, Mel and Kain, went through, there would be a happy ending for them. And there was, kind of. Kain saved Mel from the serial killer and they lived happily together and even adopted a daughter... And then Mel died of cancer, being barely 52. Kain survived him by 30 years and he never stopped loving Mel...

Then there's a bonus story, a stand alone short novel about a young man who never realized how much he loved his best friend until the friend died suddenly. This part is not yaoi, though. And it broke my heart again.
