There sure are a lot of Christian self-help books out there.
I have read a lot. Some I enjoyed, some not.
But this one is the only one that I have referred back to time and time again. The author answers the sought often question of:
"Why don't Christians act like Christians"?
or better yet "Why don't I act like a Christian"? (It clarifies what that is supposed to look like in the first place).
This study is based on the Fruit of Spirit, found in Galatians. It does a great job in identifying how to cultivate the good, and weed out the bad that helps or hinders our struggle to be better people. Anyone who gardens will especially relate with his visual metaphors for character change.
Not too judgmental, or too "feel good".
A great small group Bible study.
