Sarah has suffered a serious injury while serving her country and now she is in limbo. She's gone to Stone River for a fresh start, but it's not turning out quite as she expected. Silas and Jeremy are brothers who are looking for the one woman that can make them complete. Silas knows Sarah and he believes she would be their third part. Now his and his brother's mission is show Sarah what they have to offer. Will Sarah see what she can gain from those two awesome guys or will self doubt rule it's ugly head? I really liked the characters in this book. Silas and Jeremy balance each other out and are exactly what Sarah needs in her life. I enjoyed reading Sarah's transformation in the book from on the brink to well on her way to finding her HEA.
3.0 RATING- MFM. I can be picky when it comes to my menage reads. I wanted to admit that before saying this one was just okay for me. There wasn't anything that pulled me in, steamed me up, or kept me hooked. I actually started this weeks ago, put it down, tried again, put it down, and finally finished it last night. IDK, just found it kind of boring.
I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
Lori King brings us a spicy new book its the fourth in her Fetish & Fantasy series, its an engaging titillating book and one that's not for the faint hearted as the story revolves around BDSM but non the less Lori always brings us the best of the best.
It all starts with one night two people and a move that could risk it all.
Can submissive Julia find the happiness she has been longing for? now she has finished her training and is being auctioned off to a Dom she has no idea who it could be and the anticipation is beyond great. But the one who's bid Is final and he is known to her.
Can this Dominant take the chance at creating a true and lasting bond with a brand new submissive when he has always determined to stay a bachelor?
When the mask is lifted away from him, will they run, or seek the comfort they need from each other and experience their ultimate of secret fantasies? Or will they turn there backs away for there fears of “what if”?
As Always Lori King sucks you right in from the very beginning she has this talent of making you read one more chapter one more chapter before you no it you are finished. This book is totally different from any of the others I have read by Lori why I hear you ask because it is BDSM and not a soft romantic paranormal book.
Julia is smart as a whip business woman she is very suave and a killer in the boardroom but after dark she becomes something else.... a Submissive Julia craves being dominated more than anything she wants that one Dom to be his and his alone. I liked her character I loved the emotions she gives us and how brave she is.
Ashton man o man he is a Dom and a half he is a business associate of Julia and has always said he will never ever have a Virgin Sub after all its too much trouble too train up someone new..... wrong this hard man falls and falls hard for her.
The only thing I craved was more and too see them utter the words I love you yes I no relationships new and all but I always get butterflies when I read those three words “ I Love You”

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
There is no doubt that I am a hardcore Lori King Fang, why you might ask well that is easy Lori is one heck of an amazing writer not only is she super talented but every single book she brings out is simply spectacular. This book is a corker it shines so so bright, you will fall right in love and learn so much.
One bullet has made Sarah Bryant life rather impossible, especially in the way of her dreams of a long and fulfilling military career. But she is sick of all her family’s sympathy it's stifling her, so she escapes to Stone River, Texas, she is determined to rebuild her life to the fullest and maybe along the way she will find a new dream a new hope for her life.
Silas and Jeremy are brothers who are as different as two sides of a coin. One is a fuelled filled adrenaline junkie former Army medic, and the other is a very laid back kind of guy and runs a tow truck. The brothers have but two main things in common? They know that they want to live there life in a ménage relationship, and that Sarah is the only woman for them.
Sarah has such an uncertainty about herself, this causes her to believe that she cannot be enough for one man let alone two men. Can she get over her fears and doubts? Will these these souls ever find what they need to grow together? or will there never emotional scars be too much for them?
A beautiful story brought to life by a beautiful writer Miss Lori King she sure knows how to bring the story alive and to bring out so much emotions in her characters and for her fans/readers. I just love this book it really brings to life how much our hero's really go through whether its still being in one of the forces or when you are out. I want to say Thank you to everyone that has joined up in order for us to be able to walk the streets in peace today.
Sarah she is a wounded warrior she has a heart of gold and a past of pain, hurt and sorrow yet she is trying too rise above it all and claim her life all over, yes she is uncertain of what she will do but she knows something perfect will come up for her soon …. and it does and not just in the form of two sinfully attractive men who want her … seriously want her. What I love about Sarah is well everything even when she has her silly moments you totally no where she is coming from, this woman is a force to be reckoned with and then some.
Silas and Jeremy two totally different guys but both having the same objective well on two things in there life, I loved how they were both so different yet so alike in certain ways one harder one softer its just what Sarah needs a complete unit of love support. And that's exactly what they do its simply beautiful and so touching to read. Don't we all want men like Silas and Jeremy don't we all want to be the centre of our men's universe whether it being a real life man or our book boyfriends.
I have to share this excerpt with you it is so beautiful so moving it totally stood out too me.
“ Listen “ Frowning down at him she laughed, “ To What?” “ You're heartbeat. That tells me what a warrior you are, Love. The fact that You're alive and here for me to love is all that matter “
if you are looking for great read look no further than hear seriously stop everything this is the book for you. 5 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books
Four Stars- I received an ARC for an honest review of Broken Surrender (Surrender Series Book 4) by Lori King
Let me start by saying I hadn't read the first three books, when I read this one. But I couldn't even write this review without going back and finding out what all I had been missing! These brothers are HOT! This is a quick read because it drew me in and kept me interested. The scenes in the book were exciting and the connection the three of them share is intense. It's a terrific read!
My first Lori King book and just wow. Gorgeous boy bookends, yep I want some of those. I read this book in one afternoon curled up on the couch. It was so good that I lived every emotion, I laughed, cried and got hot and bothered. It was sweet and yet still sizzled, the connection between the three was breathtaking. I highly recommend this book, I'm going back to one clicking the first 3 now.
While parts of this story felt a little rushed it's still a great love story. Silas & Jeremy have found that they want to have a relationship with the same woman and they both think that Sarah is that woman. Now they have to make Sarah see it the same way.
This is the first book in which none of the characters were introduced in previous books (despite some of them appearing to know the previous characters). Sarah received a medical discharge from the Army after being shot and feels broken and like less of a woman for it. Jeremy owns a towing company in town (that we don't really hear much about in the book other than that is his profession). Silas is an ex-Army medic turned EMT back in his hometown of Stone River that was part of Sarah's unit before retiring from the the military. Silas had noticed her while they worked together, but it would have been completely inappropriate for him to come on to her while still in service. He was one of her superior officers after all. Not mention he'd seen how well it went when other guys had tried to get with the women in the unit (not so great). He respected her too much to do that to her. Now, he still respects her, but doesn't have the constraints of the military to worry about any longer. They are both simply civilians, no matter how much Sarah hates that that's all she is now. He is free to pursue her now, and he does exactly that. Thankfully, his brother Jeremy is just as enamored with her as he is. I really enjoyed being introduced to these characters and the characters themselves. I also liked that Lori King still tied this book to the others and included previous characters in a way that was quite natural and not forced. I loved some of the roadblocks Sarah had to face and I think they ultimately send a great message to women (and men) reading the book. Many of us have something about ourselves at some point in our lives that makes us feel undesirable and unloveable, so Sarah's plight is relatable. Sarah believes her disability and scars make her unworthy of Jeremy and Silas. To Jeremy and Silas, she is only more beautiful because of it. Just because one has imperfections does not mean they are undeserving or unworthy of love. There are men (or women) who will love you just as you are and even see your imperfections as triumphs and indicators of strength and love you all the more for them. This book is HEA with no cliffhanger. It can be read as a stand alone if desired.
This is the forth book in the series and they are better if you read them in order. Sarah Bryant was in the army and always wanted to serve her country. She was injured while doing so and unable to continue serving her country. She felt like she was being suffocated by her family upon her return. She decided to move away and try to begin again. Silas and Jeremy are as different as two brothers can be but they do agree on one thing. They want a ménage relationship. When Silas responds to a call he learns that he now lives in the same town as Sarah. Silas noticed her while they on deployment together. But that kind of setting doesn’t lead to a relationship. Now he has a chance to see where things can go. But, will Sarah even want to date Silas let alone Jeremy as well? Sarah still has issues of her own. She worries how she can be enough for one man let alone two. How will it work it she does give a go? Does she have sex with them both at the same time, will she ever get any time alone, and so many more questions? They could be just what Sarah needs but is she willing to give it a chance? This book is funny, steamy, romantic, and so much more. I can’t say enough about this book or the series. With each book in this series I read I fall more in love with all the characters. Their little town in Texas seems to be the most open minded and accepting town anywhere. So many ménage relationships and other types of relationships. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I love Lori King and have read several of her other books. She is definitely a must-read author for me.
Sarah never thought she would be put out of the Army due to injury. But when life throws you lemons you have to make changes in order to move on. With a job prospect in Stone Ridge she thought it was the beginning of starting her life over. That was until the job fell through and she was just getting by on her VA disability check and keeping her sanity alive.
Silas a Ent got a call about a woman down, but little did he realize it was for a old comrade he served in the Army with. I Las never thought in a million years, that the woman he was going to meet would steal him and his brother Jeremy heart.
Jeremy saw what his brother went through when he came back from Afghanistan. He learned that it was something that wasn't easy for anyone to deal with. But when he meets the beautiful Sarah at the bar before meeting his brother he knows he met his angel.
Will family understand her new relationship? Will the town accept her? Will being the White brothers be enough?
The only negative thing is that the series is over. Oh this one made me cry. There was so much beauty and pain. How do you love someone, much less two someones if you don't know how to love yourself? My emotions were up and down in this book. One minute I'm crying the next I'm panting. Yes, read this book!
I enjoyed reading this book! I loved the chemistry between the characters, Sarah, Simon, and Jeremy. It amazes me how quick Sarah came on board to being in a menage relationship! I think everyone who read books with multiple people in the relationship will definitely enjoy reading this book!
LOVE this series!! a MUST READ!!! Sarah Bryant's military career ended when she got hurt. she moves to Texas and runs into Silas an old army medic she knew. he asked her to meet and have a drink and then she meets his brother Jeremy White . she don't think she is good enough but she is!!!
WOW! Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better. The Love and devotion the throuples show for each other is amazing. I love how the stories is more than just group sex, instead is a coming together of the partners to make each other better.
Good book, but my least favorite. Sarah was really annoying to me. I understand that what she went through took a lot away from her, but she just became really whiny to me. I also didn't particularly like the end. It was so abrupt.
I liked this the best of the series. It covers many issues with returning injured soldiers that I found quite heartbreaking. Also this is a menage with one woman and 2 brothers, which is way more believable the 3 or 4 husbands of the other books.
Sarah has history with Silas. However, must form and create a relationship with Jeremy. The plot felt rushed and not as developed as previous books in this series. The ending left the reader wanting more.
The book was interesting and I thought the plot was good. But then Sarah went from freaking out to I'll marry you in 5 seconds. The end. Story over. Disappointing.
A superb addition to the series. A life in the military had always been Sarah’s aspiration but when she is left disabled everything she has ever dreamt of goes up in smoke. Life is harsh, she undergoes so many attempt to try and rectify the damage the bullet caused but she has no option but to shelve her military career. Life in Stone River is a constant round of pain, both physical and mental. But worst of all is the fact that Sarah lives thinking that she is destined to be alone almost, allowing her disability to define her. I understood why she would feel that way but I didn’t like that she succumbed to that disillusionment. Stone River might turn out to be better than she had anticipated when she meets Silas White and when his brother Jeremy enters the fray, it definitely took on a brighter outlook, but no matter the attraction, there is still a seedling of self-deprecation when she allows her disability and the fact that her injury and surgeries have left their marks on her skin. No matter how much she likes the guys, and they have left her in no doubt that they both like her, she doesn’t want to hold them back, and she is convinced that they can find someone – that they should find someone better than her. But both Ryker and Silas, don’t want anyone else, they want her and they’re not prepared to let her insecurities deprive them of the object of their desires. They have to let her see just how much she means to them. I liked the guys in this book, they were emotionally very sensitive to Sarah’s needs, but with the fact that Silas had served in the military he had his own share of issues and the author covered them too. They were so rounded, so complete that this book, I could not put down, it too really aspects of life, of people’s lives who were not perfect and showed that we all love in eth same way, without hearts, not the external packaging… it is what he hold within that makes us worth loving and these three were the epitome of that. Their hearts loved completely and with absolute perfection.
This is a menage, between two brothers and a woman. It is not only a menage but, also about the struggle of a wounded, recovering veteran, who is lucky to be alive. She is emotionally and physically destroyed, her future included. She's attempting to find herself and in doing so, she has moved to Texas, for a job, that didn't happen for her. Sarah is a medically discharged veteran. She was going to make a career in the army, but a bullet put an end to that plan. She's lucky to be alive and walking after the bullet shattered her spine and lost a kidney. Silas, left the army after his last tour, went home to Texas and moved in with his brother. Now they're trying to find the love of their lives, to complete them. Silas, is an EMT, doing what he can to continue helping and saving lives. Jeremy, his brother, owns and operates a towing company. Silas answers a call to the apartments where he finds a woman sitting on the ground leaning up against a car. He starts to talk to her and realizes that he recognizes her from when they were serving together over seas. Ms. King has written the insecurities and emotions of one wounded warrior trying to survive in a new life and town. That she has included it in a menage story is definitely wonderful. I enjoy menage stories and my only wish is to know more, about their story. The development was there, but, I wanted more. Is that wrong, of me. No. It means that the story was well written and with any well written story, once finished, there should be questions. It means that the author was able to devise the story to draw you in, to feel the emotions and ask those question about what happens next in the lives she has written about. Yes, there is HEA.
I received this book as a gift and I am posting my honest opinion of it.
Sarah Bryant is a soldier sent home from a career she loved because of one stray moment in her life. A single moment when a snipers bullet shattered her spine and kidney and ended what she thought was her life. After months of surgeries and physical therapy she has settled in Stone River Texas. When the job she was hoping for falls through she stays there to start anew. When a chance call brings the local EMT's to her rescue she runs into her old Army Sergeant Silas. Silas has always had an appreciation for Sarah and knows she is someone he and his brother Jeremy could love. And has hopes of convincing Sarah they were all meant to be together. Sarah has an open mind but her sense of self worth is lacking. She can't for the life of her see why they would want someone who she considers as broken. Silas and Jeremy have their work cut out for them convincing Sarah she is perfect just the way she is and the Love they have for her is very real.
I love the way the story revolves around a wounded female soldier and her battle to become the person she needs to be. Her realization that she's only broken if she surrenders to that belief. That she is as capable as anyone to do anything she wants with the second chance at life she has.
I loved this book and am looking forward to reading the previous books in this series. Lori King has a way with words that brings the reader into her worlds and lets them live with the characters. A must read for anyone with a love of HEA romances.
I love this series so much. Here we meet Julia who is a newbie to BDSM world but is graduating her training by being auctioned off for a charity. Ashton is a Dom who wants Julia but is known for not taking new sub. With a help of a friend they end up spending the night together. But will they have a future together after the night is over? This story is full of anticipation, mystery and hot play. I could not put it down. Read it in one go. I was on edge straight from the start. Miss King's detailed description of feelings and play are so realistic that I felt it all myself. The story drew me in and spat me out on such high that I was devastated when it ended. I really wanted it to go on and on. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for this series.

Received a free copy for an honest review.
Sarah had her whole life planned out. Until she got injured serving abroad. With her self esteem very low she feels unworthy of love by Silas and Jeremy White. They do everything in their power to convince her that she is everything they want and need. It was great to watch Sarah let the guys to take care of her and slowly build up her confidence and accept both their love and attention. Even though she was a bit annoying occasionally always putting herself down. I felt like kicking her bum. Always doubting herself. But at the end she took the risk and run with it. I felt the story ended a bit abruptly though. But I love this series and can't wait to see what's next in store.
Talk about a cover that will literally make your mouth water! The blurb itself will leave any red-blooded woman needing to buy the book and read it. Especially when its an author like Lori King who wrote the book. This is the kind of erotic romance that I crave on a daily basis. It is not just sensual, but incredibly sweet, a bit dirty, and just steamy enough to cause some serious heat flashes! I absolutely lusted after Silas and Jeremy. They are the kind of Texans women like me picture in our fantasies. Big, strong, capable, with immense patience and the right amount of alpha that can make a reader pant and beg. Sarah is beautiful, spirited woman that can handle both men. She is slightly shy at first, but once the story starts really rolling, her inner seductress is revealed and her passion and sass shines through which makes her perfect for these two sexy Texans.
There is so many emotions and feelings I went through throughout the story. I felt empathy with Sarah, and silently encouraged her and was proud of her transformation. Silas and Jeremy brought out my inner sensual woman too, and had me rooting for them as they courted and wooed Sarah. I loved the fact that the story was both an emotional story as well as a truly sexy one too. Broken Surrender is breathtaking, sexy, and perfectly edgy. A MUST READ for sure!
Broken Surrender by Lori King got an ASTOUNDING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its worth every penny and is magnificently written with some great characters and a terrific plot. Lori King you RULE!
This book was amazing. Just finished reading it and im still trying to come up with words to describe how fabulous it was. I have not read all the of the surrender books yet but ive read the first in the series and now this one.
Sarah's dream was to join the Army and make it a career. A bullet to the back ended that earlier than she expected. Now after countless surgeries and dealing with chronic pain shes living in Stone River, Texas hoping ot find a job and herself. She runs into Silas White who she served with over seas and meets his brother Jeremy. Both are attracted to her and her to them. But Sarah doesnt think shes good enough. Shes disabled and has scars. She thinks they deserve better.
Can Silas and Jeremy make her see that she is perfect for the two of them? Or will her insecurities get the best of her.
So far the 2 books I have read by Lori have been amazing. I've read a few menage books before btu this series tops the cake with brilliance. not only are they steamy hot in the sex department but they have an amazing story line for the characters. This one deals with some real life issues that many soldiers do face when coming home from deployment. Although it doesn't go into a lot of details about the PTSD it is hinted at and talked about a few times.
This is a great story, it will quickly draw you in and have you captivated. The story is about Sarah,a female Army Veteran who was wounded in the line of duty. Her whole life has changed, she must deal with the physical ramifications of her injuries but also the emotional scars they've created. An unexpected meeting with her former commanding officer, Silas lets old hidden desires to surface for both of them. Silas and his brother Jeremy both like Sarah and want to be in a relationship with her. Sarah is convinced she isn't good enough for either man, let alone both of them.
This story quickly grabbed my attention and kept me reading. It tugs at your heart strings with the injuries Sarah has faced and her recovery process. Both men are strong and caring, wanting to take care of her...I got teary eyed a few times with how tender and caring they are. I really enjoyed this story and hope to hear more about these characters, I really enjoyed reading about them. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
I received an advanced reader's copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
A broken warrior, shot in the back, Sarah is back in the small town of her past, ready to begin her new life—or she is trying to be ready. There is the pain, the feeling of failure and rejection at being forced out of the military. Now what? Then her old friend Silas sees her and remembers her from their tour of duty. But over there they were brothers at arms, now he appreciates her beauty and the attraction he fought.
She not sure she is ready for a relationship, and then there is his brother Jeremy, a big flirt, fun and they are both gorgeous in their own ways. She is attracted to both but not she how to deal. They have it all figured out—they've always wanted to share a wife and family. Not something she had ever considered. Can they show her all the benefits, the tender care, the love the protection and understanding, to make it more than a consideration.?
Touching, funny, steamy and a character of strength showing Sarah as a noble soldier and person.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and recommend it is more than M/F/M love story. I was provided an ARC for an honest review.
Domination is not the act of hurting someone but to overload them with pure pleasure... But not only that it's the simple act of knowing what and how much your submissive can take to just the border of pleasure pain... In this book you will see that even the most self confident authoritative and strong person can sometimes want another to not only give them want they need but know how to control them ..to take charge... Julia is that strong authoritative woman she knows what she wants and will do what is needed to complete a task but when it comes to her sexual needs she is a submissive... Looking for something she so desperately needs she enjoys the kinky crazy games Killian offers. In comes Ashton he knows Julia and knows she is no push over but so is he and he will rock her on more than one level. But is one night together be enough....I don't think so.... I see things become permanent....I read and reviewed this book because I wanted to and I wished others to experience the Lori King I know...
I received a copy of Broken Surrender by Lori King in exchange for an honest review.
I adore Lori King and her Surrender Series. I think the premises for her books are so unique and well written that i can never put one of her books down. I really loved me some I Silas and Jeremy. They are the living embodiment of an Alpha Male. They are strong, hard working and always put the people they love first. If I could make any literary character come to life i would certainly obtain them from Broken Surrender.
I also found myself completely engrossed in Sarah's transformation. She was such a wonderful and likeable character that you can completely understand how she manages to entrance these two amazing gentlemen. Broken Surrender is breathtaking, Hot, and mixes romance and action perfectly. A MUST READ most definitely!
I really do recommend this book to all romance readers as the relationships in Broken Surrender are so beautiful it would be a shame if you missed out.
