Collapsing World: Book 1

Rate this book
Jack and Lucy were unescorted minors, traveling alone through the Atlanta airport, when terrorists attacked the city. The teens are resourceful, but that will only get them so far. Paired with a group of survivors, they face exposure to radiation, being burned to death, or being trapped forever in the catacombs of the world’s busiest airport. Not knowing if his children are alive or dead, the teen’s father, David, fights the weight of uncertainty, as he struggles with the consequences from the greater attack happening all around America. Desperate to know the fate of his children, David’s path intersects with another orphan of the attack. He must choose between the risks of going after his children, or helping this young girl find her own family. Come along as everyday people fight to survive in this new reality, a reality know as Collapsing World.

A really good read

I read a lot and I do not write a review unless I enjoyed the story. I read this in one day and then downloaded the rest of Mr. Mercer's books and look forward to reading them as well. His writing is excellent, his plot is great, his characters are well developed and well liked, and his lack of profanity is BIG-MUCH appreciated! Not easy to do. You will not regret reading this one.

Every story teaches you something. This one does not disappoint. "Chance favors the prepared mind" Louis Pasteur

Good read but another one that does not reflect what your every day guy would find to help thru this

I doubt that I would find a neighbor's car that I could have running for my family and then a mansion that would supply us with all of everything else necessary for long term. But still a decent read.

Good

This book is well written and interesting. The characters are believable and of good moral substance, so far. That will probably change in book 2.
