I give this book 3.5 stars. It shares a variety of healing visualisations for a vast amount of health complications and I’ve been practising several and they appear quite productive. I plan on continuing some of them and seeing how it goes. If you would like to give healing visualisations a go, or need some inspiration, it’s a pretty good starting point.

I listened to the audio and what I would say about the book, is he describes the visualisations well, but they are not read in a guide form. So you listen to what he says and then have to stop the book to practise them. He literally reads the book how it is, rather than guiding the listener through the visualisations. That’s not really an issue, if you’re okay with that, however, as I listened to the audio version, it would have been nice to be able to do them alongside the listening experience.

Personal notes:
-bodymind verbindung: körper-Geist verbindung
-Mental imagery: it's the mind thinking in pictures. it's a type of non-logical thinking to make contact with our inner subjective reality
-mental + physical aspect 2 seiten gleicher münze von "körper". seit 300 jahre hat westerl medizin körper und geist getrentt. es ist das einzige medizinische system der weltgeschichte, welches dies so macht, inkl. westl. medizin vor dem 17.jahrhundert
-westlich medizn is reluctant to accept that the mind can alter the body but it believes the reverse that physical can alter the mental eg tranquilizers, antidepressants, anesthetics. why not also affect the other way?
-not stop seeing doctor + stop taking medicine. it's an additional method where you can take an ACTIVE part in your health and getting well
-mental imagery is a technicque for clearing out the old, negative weed-beliefs and replace them with new, positive seed-beliefs. by becoming a gardener of your own reality, self-healing becomes possible
-mental images have not volume or mass but they do have energy and stimulate the haling process on their own
-images are as real as our emotions, it is subjective reality but it is a reality nonetheless ,with the power to affect our bodies and to tell us more about who we are
-1. define intention / inner instruction
-2. quieting: focus on breathing out 3x (zuerst ausatmen, dann einatmen, berught para sympathicaks/nervensystem), deep relaxation is not required!
-3. 3x am tag: vor frühstück, nach mittagessen, vor schlafengehen, max 5min each
-illness is synonymous with blockages of flow i.e with resistance to the changing nature of things. we try to hold on to what we think of as "good situations" and dabei thighten up, resist the posibility of pain or nonleasure and so run head-on intho the very pain we are trying to avoid.
-an image is the mental form of a feeling. but there is also a physical form: sensations- a feelings has acertain physical sensations associated with it
-in imagery work, you use your images to change your emotions or your senations i.e. to create + affect your experience. => as you work on your images + change them, you simulateously change and create the sensations and emotions that accompany them. once the image changes, so does the emotion and so do the sensations.
-help my patients y striking a creative spark in them + allowing them to find their own ways of maintaining balance in themselves. I do not cure my patients, only they can cure themselves. with imagery the create their own medicine
-when instructions ends, you turn from patient to self-healer
-like physical exerciese, more effective when practiced regulary to bring new balance

-try to do exercise regularly but do not make concerted effort to get results. this un-demanding appraoch may be difficult at first. keeep focus on the PROCESS of imagery and on your intentian to heal. the more you worry about getting well, the more difficult you wil make the healing process for yourself
-wenn expectations nonetheless: notice when you have them and cut the expectations with a scissor or toss them over your shoulder in the sea or see how they go up in the sky
-rule of thumb: less is more. the shorter the imagery, the more powerful it is. => when you have felt a sensation , the imagery work is done. when no sensation after short time, don't extend timme, try with another imagery instead. sensation vary from person and can be twitching, pulsation, heat, itching, pain, tingling, a buzz etc
-we use a small jolt, a seed
-once an initial imagery exercise has been accomplished, we need only little reminders to stimulate the body's recollection of healing activity.
imagery eeds to be practices, but it should ot become an obsession. one trigger is all we need to promote the physioloigcal mechanism that aid boily repair. small triggers can have a large effect
-if symptoms intesify for up to 2 weeks that's not to worry but to expect a breaktthrough shortly. if you continue to feel bad, consult with a docter. often first worse before getting better
-may find spontaneaously modifying the exercise as you go imagery - go right ahead. let whatever comes for you come.
-remember: everyone has the capactity to create images, to change existing eimagery exercises, or to originate them. we are free to play and express ourselves in imagery. there are no restrictions, nor are there any limits to the possibilities
-don't strive to sense something. in fact, the more you strive, the less you'll sense. just do your j ob and WAIT for your body's resposne
-decision-making depends on willingness to act, not on accumulation of more date, not possible to calculate right decisions. only action gives certainty
-skin eruptions: anger = red exzema, withe=fear exzema

8 pointes for own imagery:
1. always start with point of trouble: face mental/physical problem (intention)
2. any image you find is correct for you: do not make any judgements about the kind of images that come, as whete they make sense or are worthwile, and don't try to interperet them or figure out their meaning
3. trust that you will be able to make use of your image. remember that anything can happen in imagery + creating tools, helpers etc
4. body rhythmus: either slowing down or speeding what, whatever is more necessary (use the opposite of what you have, e.g. fear is quick rhythm)
5. approach trouble i.e do the opposite of what you want to do (e.g when pain then want to retreat, but go to it instead, become friends
6. inner guides: if you should encounter one, do not hesitate to use it to serve you
7. relationship imagerny + everyday reality: whatever you discover for yourself, answer you find, instruction you receive, carry it in everyday life, e.g. beatufiul fruits to eat those also in real life
8. do not compare yourself to others

-once you begin imagery work, you begin immediately to take care of yourself
-illness alerts us to make some corrections in our lives. often only suffering which eventually make us start to take steps to effect change in our lives.
-"ok, what happened has been sent to teach me something. but i'm confused because I can't figure out what I'm supposed to learn.
-hypnose puts tool into our hands which permits us to become our own authority and our own healer
-let your personal trouble be the starting point for taking charge of your life. use imagery to help yourself become your own authority. let your beliefs create your experience and say YES to life.


exercises:
-organ: go to area in body, carress it, massage it, stimulat it to produce hormone etc to keep your body in harmony. sense the flow of hormone through your body in form of rainbow of colors
-anxiety: enterin a desirt with sandstorm, set up tent, go inside, close it and sit peacufelly inside while you hear the sand blowing around and over the tent. when you hear pass the sandstorm completely, your anxiety has passed
-anxiety: see and see your entrie being becomling like the surface of calm water reflecting the starry sky
-The Tide: lying on beach where sea + sand meet, tide from soles up to knee, then soles up to tigh etc. when it flows back waste/toxins is taking out of body as grey => word doc
-go to the bottom of a lake, breathing in easily and exhalting slowly as you enter the lake and go under water. sit on the lake bottom quietly enveloped by golden light
-wunde/knochenbruch: 2 enden hin und her weben, mit goldenem netz sichern
-wear a jeweled breastplate, each jewel is a chime with its own beautiful melody when tapped by a finger and becoming a healing melody. the tissues respond as do the cells. see and feel the impurities shaken free and the cyst breaking up. blue-golden light, shower of movemebt in your breasts, dispelling all impurities and carrying them down throught the body and out trhough the soles of the feed
-see your hand becoming lightning bolts, enter your body with them to the place of disease. take out what is there as you inhale quickly, then quicly remove the lightning hands bringing the diseased matter with them, throw it all behind you. see a waterfall above you and bathe in it, feeling thoroughly cleansed
-in sich einen triangel und mit goldenem stab spielen für heilende melody
-flower petals inside, sun is rising and flower openes slowly, life goes down into stem + roots and feel strong life
-unzip chest wall, take out heart, remove all arrows of hurt + toss them away. clean up all sore spots were arrows were, massage gently the heart, replace it back in chest, rezip
-chemotherapy: rivers of sunlight running through body, flushing out cancer cells and destroying them. chemicals are medicine that is helping you to heal as the tumor is weakened, shrunken and destroyed, chemotherapy is a friend that's coming to help you
-swallowing a rainbow for lifiting mood / weaving a rainbow of lights around organ/problem
-acorn: see yourself planting a seed in the earth, sense yourself as it grows to a sprout, then sapling, taking root, growing into a tree, firmly planted in the earth, branches reach skyward
-fingesr becoming palm leaves (aloe vera?) leaves, put them on face for clearing up skin
-problem personifizieren, dann darauf zugehen und durch es hindurch gehen und an neuen ort kommen
-to know what you create you may "de-create". you made it, so you can also unmake it
-bergbach, darm herausnehmen in im reinen klaren wasser waschen, auf bachbett legen und von sonne trocknen lassen. goldene nadel mit goldenem faden und darm reparieren wo beschädigt, fühle wie die wände zusammenkommen so dass keine verletzung mehr sichtbar, sieht normal und gesund aus, gently massieren, tell it you love it, zurück in bauch tun. nutrious food, digest as snake and see thourgh bowel and the end fully digested material in perfect form leaves body and you know it works perfectly
-send mermaid thourgh intestine, whe she touches it heals
-hemorids: schrumpeln, austrocken und ganz verschwinden
-ice cubes: aus kühlschrank nehmen, kopf,gesicht, und ganzen körper damit waschen und kühle sinkt ins ganze system und blutstream in gehirn, ice-blue coolness farbe
:spleen: organ trägt ein beret und farbpalette. clown face auf organ malen, and lächeln. aus mund kommt zunge mit leukozyten-strom der durch ganzer körper geht
thymus: lotus, massieren, er öffnet sich, produziert immunzellen and zerstört feindliche zellen
-infetility: stream in garden, bathe in it + clean all ovas, come out, sit under a tree with sun shinging and make a wish
-insomnia: lying in bed, see yourselfy lying by bank of river, you are surrounded by flower, smell fragrance, pick one flower. place each thought you have into a flower, put the flower in river and see and hear it being carried away quickly downstream
-see a red lightswith in your left cerebral hemisphere. shutt off the swithc to stop your thoughts
-op vorbereitung: see yourself after the operation, sitting up in bed, smiling and receiving visitors. see yourself getting dresssed and walking out of hospital, going home
-nackt bei northpole, mit eispickel schuppen von haut entfernen, in arktisches kaltes wasser baden, mit goldenem öl eincremen, kleid anziehen und körper frei von schuppen sehen/spüren
-use komplementärfarbe um visualisieren, eg. roter ausschlag = blaue farbe, oder öl bei trockenem ausschlag, sowie sonne zum trocknen bei öligem ausschlag
-tilt cocyx forward until harmonious note is heard
-grow vanilla beans in vagina which bloom into white lotus in vagina, water orchids with gold watering can
-mit goldener bürste alle toten zellen aussen + innen abbürsten, dann zu fluss und dar baden und alle restlciehn impurities wegwaschen. sit under tree, take in pure oxygen of tree, exhale out carbon dioxide whcih tree breathes in

Εξαιρετικό. ΟΜΩΣ χρειάζεται πολλή προσοχή στα εξής:

- Πριν μπούμε στη διαδικασία να θεραπεύσουμε το πρόβλημα, χρειάζεται να πάρουμε το μήνυμα που μας προσφέρει και να το εμπεδώσουμε και να αποφασίσουμε πως να το διαχειριστούμε ΔΙΑΦΟΡΕΤΙΚΑ από ό,τι μέχρι τώρα. Διαφορετικά είναι πάρα πολύ πιθανό η διαδικασία είτε να αποτύχει, είτε να έχει προσωρινό αποτέλεσμα (ιδίως για σημαντικά θέματα). Αυτό δυστυχώς δεν αναφέρεται στο βιβλίο, παρόλο που ο συγγραφέας τονίζει τη σύνδεση "πνεύματος και σώματος" και σε κάθε σωματικό η συναισθηματικό πρόβλημα αναφέρει κάποιες δικές του εξηγήσεις.

- Κάθε εκτέλεση οραματισμού θα πρέπει να προκαλεί κάποια μορφή σωματικής αντίδρασης επιτόπου. Αυτό αναφέρεται στο βιβλίο, αλλά το τονίζω γιατί είναι το κλειδί για να διαπιστώσουμε αν λειτούργησε μια άσκηση, παρόλο που συνήθως δεν θα λυθεί άμεσα το πρόβλημα. Αν δεν υπάρξει καμία αντίδραση, πιθανότατα δεν είχε επίδραση και ίσως δεν έγινε σωστά η δεν είναι ο κατάλληλος οραματισμός για το πρόβλημα. Η δεν έχουμε προσδιορίσει σωστά το πρόβλημα.

- Κ��ποιες ασκήσεις όπως το "Θάβοντας το παρελθόν" μπορεί να προκαλέσουν ΖΗΜΙΑ μακροπρόθεσμα διότι είναι τεχνικές απώθησης! Αν δεν έχετε τις γνώσεις για να αντιληφθείτε ποιες από τις ασκήσεις ξεμπλοκάρουν και θεραπεύουν και ποιες συγκαλύπτουν και απωθούν, συνιστώ να αφήσετε το βιβλίο στην άκρη. Ο συγγραφέας, ενώ πολύ όμορφα γράφει κάπου ότι κλειδί είναι η αλλαγή, αλλού γράφει ότι η "ίαση σημαίνει εξάλειψη των συμπτωμάτων"! Όμως ίαση ΜΑΚΡΟΠΡΟΘΕΣΜΑ είναι η αποκατάσταση της εσωτερικής μας ισορροπίας, ενώ η απλή εξάλειψη των συμπτωμάτων μπορεί να είναι παραπλανητική και ακόμα και επιζήμια! Μου κάνει μεγάλη εντύπωση αυτή η σύγχιση που μεταδίδει το βιβλίο.

Με πολλή προσοχή λοιπόν, με σύνεση και με συνειδητή γνώση του πως λειτουργεί κάθε άσκηση, μπορούμε να έχουμε εξαιρετικά οφέλη. Με άγνοια κινδύνου και έλλειψη γνώσης, μπορεί να κάνουμε ζημιά. Θα έλεγα καλύτερα να εφαρμόζετε τις ασκήσεις σε συνεργασία με κάποιον πολύ έμπειρο ειδικό ή θεραπευτή.

The power of the mind and belief is a powerful thing. It’s why the Vikings fought so hard, it’s why the Christians dealt with persecution, it’s why the Mongols fought so well. The Vikings believed in Valhalla, the Christians believed in their savior, and the Mongols were forbidden from saying the words “defeat” or “death.”

You don’t need to read every page just the ones with the problems you need to solve or fight :)


I’ll say that this book is not only interesting but oddly helpful. Although a part of me may question the validity of using visualizations to help with cancer or asthma, it also talks about things where the mind is the reason you have that problem. Things like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and anything that is a battle of the mind or ego. Which then I think is 100% helpful to try those visualizations.

It had things I found useful for my anxiety. I don’t want to write too much, but basically you imagine yourself on a beach in the dark; you imagine the sand, the water, and the wind hitting your body (it illustrates that anxious body feeling), and whenever the time is right, in a snap imagine it’s daytime. Imagine a rainbow, birds chirping, and feel the anxiety wash away. I did make my own tiny version of it, but it has been helpful, meditative, and calming.

To retrace back to the physical problems like cancer: as much as I question the validity for physical problems, I would still try it. Belief and hope are medicines in their own way, and even the placebo may help. Usually when winning a battle like cancer you need a ton of hope and a strong mind, so reading that little page and trying it won’t hurt and may at the very least add hope.

A powerful and potentially transformative work, written in plain language, and based on long experience in developing and practicing these techniques. This book should be in the hands of everyone who wants to become healthy without surrendering their power to outside authorities and invasive regimes of drugs and surgery. The mind is powerful, and this book teaches simple, definite ways to harness its power.

As a medical support clinical hypnotherapist, these healing visualizations are extremely helpful in guiding clients through illness. The explanation of how they work and how to optimize results is very helpful. A well-written and easy to follow text.

I enjoyed this book and have used its ideas with one patient this week. Healing Visualizations is a bit of a misnomer because the visualizations do lead to some relief, but to state that they can heal is not within my experience. Opening one's self to the possibility of healing is a big step and one to be respected in our proof-ridden medical system. For that reason, I admire the author's giant step into an alternative way of providing health. Recommended for therapists and those dealing with physical ailments.
