About the author

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.

Jordana and Stefan belong to different Italian mob families, but instead of being rivals they are crazy in love with each other. They both are strong, tough, fearless and controlling. Stefan is an over-the-top alpha male hero, sexually dominating in his secret relationship with Jordana. Their loyalty to their families is undeniable, but the sexual chemistry and attraction between the two is sizzling and burning. Can they find happiness amongst all the chaos their two families bring?

This is a story with action, drama and romance. The characters interact really well from start to finish and the storyline flow is great. No bumps in the road for the reader. I, also, really liked how the characters show depth in their interaction with others in this book. I loved being pulled in the mob world with all the complexities of family relationships and loyalties. Jordana and Stefan were a passionate couple. I loved how in tune they were to each other's needs. The chemistry between them sucks you in giving you a great romance to root for.

What bothered me in this book has to do with the plot. More specifically, in the beginning of the book Jordana makes a choice in order to save her brother and her family from the debts. I don’t want to say much because I risk spoiling it for you, but I found her choice totally immature and foolish. Stefan’s reaction towards it was unexpected and unrealistic. But I loved his devotion-that much was evident.

The storytelling is beautiful, engaging and passionate. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading a lot more from the authors.

The title and the authors were intriguing. This one is my first DNF @40% ever! Believe me this reader is not fainthearted!
h was already in a relationship with H and in order to help his brother she knowingly attempted to use her body and was raped for days in the end.

She went to a sadist again knowingly.
He was one ugly, hard-looking fucker. “I’m here to barter,” I said, finally taking a seat and throwing one leg over the other to punctuate my intent.
“Oh, really.” He stood up, folding his arms, gazing at me with dark, cold eyes. “Do you even understand the meaning of bartering? And what makes you think you have anything I’d want?”
“Let’s not play me for a fool. I happen to know how much you enjoy the company of a woman.” I shrugged, turning to plan B. This hadn’t been my original negotiating ploy, since I thought I’d be dealing with Stefan’s father. But this actually worked out better in my favor. “And what would you have in mind?”

He laughed, but it wasn’t humorous. It was disgusting and made my skin crawl. The sight of his yellow teeth caused me to inwardly cringe, while keeping the alluring smile on my face. “I don’t need a maid or a cook. But nice try, little one.”
“That’s good because I have no interest in cleaning your toilets or frying you an egg. I had something else in mind.” I waited until I knew I had his attention before continuing. Once he lifted an eyebrow, I knew I had him intrigued enough to finish hearing me out. “I’ve heard through the grapevine that you have a bit of a…fetish, if that’s what you want to call it.”
His lips pursed as he gave me a lazy shrug. “I’m not sure I’d call it that. Let’s just say I have singular tastes.” He perused my body from head to toe, making sure I knew it. “I’m not sure you can handle that,

I stood and waited for his cackles to end, stepping closer to him until I knew I had his attention. “The moment my pussy is wrapped around your cock, you’ll forget what a dollar sign looks like. The moment your balls pull tight with the need to come, you’ll have forgotten how to count. And the moment my cunt milks you, taking every last drop, you won’t even know the value of a dollar anymore. That seemed to catch his attention. The corners of his mouth curved up as he slowly licked his lips, eyes directed at the small amount of cleavage peeking out over my neckline.

My stomach lurched forward, but I proceeded to his desk as instructed, chanting to myself with every step that this was all for the sake of my brother.
I sucked in the tiniest of breaths and briefly closed my eyes before grabbing the cigar from his meaty hand. In one fell swoop, I slid the items off his desk in defiance, hoping it portrayed a fearless attitude. I needed him to believe that I could handle anything he gave me if I ever expected him to take me up on my offer. But my display only made him laugh. I wanted to fucking scream, and then make him choke on his cigar as I rammed it down his throat. I shrugged my skirt up to my hips and inched my ass across his desk. Opening my legs wide, I carefully balanced myself on the heels of my pumps, making sure he had a decent view.
He hastily snatched a chair and sat between my legs, his pants already tented. He began to unzip, the familiar sound echoing around me and dancing on my frayed nerves.
This is for your brother, Jordana
. I needed one last reminder of my purpose before going through with this degrading act, because without it, I would’ve taken off out that door and never looked back. I may have indulged in sexual freedom prior to meeting Stefan, but I’d never been the kind to juggle more than one man at a time. Even thinking about going behind Stefan’s back for this filthy man soured my stomach, but I didn’t have a choice in the matter. Not to mention, Stefan and I hadn’t really had the “exclusive” talk. The closest we came to it was last night when he told me I was his. And although I knew in my heart that those words were his claim on me, I had to ignore it and use the loophole in my favor. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to follow through with this. And without this, things would get very ugly for my family.
One week. That’s all it would be, and then I would be back with Stefan. That’s all I had to focus on to get me through this. I could do it, I knew I could. And then I’d have the satisfaction of doing what no man could. I’d clear my brother’s debt without paying a single penny,

without bloodshed.

Zeke’s dark eyes flared with burning rage as he stared back at me, unmoving. Apparently, the bastard didn’t take too kindly to being treated like an animal. But that’s how it was with sick, demented people. The ones who beat on women, abuse children and animals…they never liked it when the tables were turned. And nothing felt more gratifying than turning the table on someone like him.
Stefan must’ve grown tired of the stare down, because he lurched forward, taking Zeke by the back of his neck and shoving his face into the bowl of water. He fought against Stefan’s hold, the water splashing over the sides and onto the carpet. I watched with amusement as he thrashed about, arms and legs chained, unable to do much other than buck against Stefan’s body behind him. But once Stefan pulled his gun from his holster and pressed the barrel to the base of Zeke’s skull, he seemed to give in, calming his erratic flailing.

She was degraded by a real sadist who she has been already aware of and no one questioned about STDs, MCs were directly intimated after their revenge. No time to heal.

4.5 Stars May be Slight Spoilers Ahead for Some....Read with Caution


Wow, what a great sexy love story! These two authors first off, are fantastic and the storyline was terrific! The writing was impeccable, I was glued from start until finish, never ever bored with the storyline and/or the characters.

Now, why not a full 5 Stars then, well personally I HATED the part where Jordana STUPIDLY and not to my liking and/or reading tastes decides to make a bargain for her brother's life. Yeah, that whole part was a big FAT NO for me. I wouldn't have minded if she made the deal and then backed out BUT to have had her actually go through with it was not just a huge no for me but a slight turn-off for me. Sorry that's just me and honestly I wasn't sure if I could or wanted to continue on BUT I was also curious to see what would happen. Yeah, a gluten for punishment, lol, but I am so glad that I continued on.

Now Stefan......oh lordy, this man was PERFECT, he was the absolute epitome of perfection, if you looked up perfect in a dictionary Stefan would be there! Yeah, this man, was like a god...he was sexy, he was dominant, he was possessive and caring in an understated way at FIRST but then when his feelings of love finally came to surface, the words this man spoke, his actions....OMG, I am squirming and feeling giddy just thinking about him. HE was what made me continue on after that part of the book that I did NOT like and because of HIM, I never regretted a moment to continue to the end! There aren't enough words to accurately describe my feelings for him, he was THAT AMAZING in every way:) Jordana was one lucky bitch I tell ya, lol!!!! if only every story could have an H like Stefan, I would buy every book!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Leddy Harper and Gina Whitney on a truly fantastic, sexy read!!!!!!!!!!!! With the exception of that one part, this was a PERFECT read for me:)

This is the most poignant line of the whole book in my mind. In the beginning, Jordana Albanese is a bit of a sex hungry woman who knows what she needs to satisfy her needs. Stefan Giannotti knows how to satisfy those desires but he’s from another family, and in their world, when families collide, bad things happen. In the lives of La Costa Nostra there are rules and when the rules are broken a war breaks out. Jordana and Stefan work to keep their need to satisfy each other on the down low. But things progress and change, and they have to depend on each other.

Jordana is a strong willed, Italian female with the need to for her father and brothers to understand that she can take care of herself and her family. They don't realize she’s been doing it her whole life. She’s sassy, full of life and willing to do what needs to be done to take care of them, all of them. Everything changes when she takes matters into her own hands to remedy a situation that her younger brother has gotten into.

Stefan saves Jordana from a dire situation, but not without anger and disgust. Trust is an integral part of their relationship and what makes the roles in the mafia work. Both people have to learn to trust each other.

Overall, The Power of a Woman was good. The writing was fairly error free and the story flowed but there were missing parts in my mind. There are story lines and issues that I felt were not wrapped up well… things that, as I write this, my mind is still wondering, ‘what happened???’ Hmmm…

There were also times I wondered if each of the authors wrote certain parts and not others, due to the way the personality shifts changed. But then, maybe it’s just me. I’m a huge fan of mafia stories and how interwoven and complex they can be. With this one, I just needed a bit more. ~ Heather, 4 stars

When I first heard that Gina Whitney was doing another co-author piece, I got a little worried. I have never been a huge fan of co-author books, especially when it involves my favorite author and an author who's just delving into BDSM.

I was blown out of the water by this particular partnership of Gina Whitney and Leddy Harper. They each brought something to the table that enhanced the book. Gina has a way with her descriptive "hot" scenes, as always. Leddy has a talent for words and creating a beautiful description (I can't really explain it the way I want, words kind of pale in comparison to how Leddy's descriptions came to life in my head. Let's say that the woman creates amazing imagery.)

This is a dark, but beautiful live story that's absolutely breathtaking in the sex and the romance. I definitely think Gina Whitney and Leddy Harper make a wonderful combination as co-author. And I hope they decide to continue this series in more books.

If you love Mafia, sex, and romance, then this is the book for you!

This is a tale about a New York mafia Prince and Princess from rival families... It's like Tristan and Isolde meets Bonnie and Clyde.......
Being a New Yorker, I can totally appreciate the authenticity of the way the New York Italian mafia was portrayed. The Power of a woman by Gina Whitney & Leddy Harper gives us a bird's eye view into the lifestyle. I haven't read Leddy yet, but it seems this union works well! Gina Whitney is known for her powerful, tough and sarcastic female characters. The lead character Jordana is just that and more.... She is a mafia princess in every way possible, except she is not your typical doting Italian female, she is defiant and very strong willed. She refuses to be seen as just a weak woman. She craves more. Equality or nothing. This book shows us how a woman can be submissive in the bedroom and yet remain equal to a man. We can be just as powerful. Gina's leading men are always DOMINATE and in control. Stefan is a new world gangster. Meaning, he doesn't just use force and fear. He's educated and intellectual. He uses his brain as well as brawn. When it comes to Jordana, he is dominant and protective. But he can also be soft, tender and vulnerable when he needs to be. Both enjoy it rough and raw. One submissive and one dominant. They balance each other out. What starts off as just mind blowing sex turns into a union of mind, body and soul. They are a forced to be reckoned with... Stefan and Jordana have big plans, but their "old school" traditional families have very close minds... one slip can end it all. Can they break the rules and survive??

A few interesting points;
- This book has an edge and is filled with plenty of action, violence, and sprinkled with darkness. (No rainbows and butterflies)
- The bdsm is mild but present. (Smack me, hurt me!!)
- The New York Italian slang and situations are spot on! (Fugetaboutit)
- It is filled with steamy unconventional sex! (No sweet missionary)

If you enjoy all of the above this book is for you!

When I found out this short story would be transitioned into a full length novel I don't think I could have been more excited. The fact that it was being co-written by two amazing authors was a total bonus!
While my favorite genre is no secret- what can I say... I like it HOT, I have never read anything quite like this!
By the time you finish this you will surely think one or both of the authors has true ties to the mafia. The story is so 'alive' with detail and amazing visual description, giving the reader that all too important feeling of being inside of the story. I absolutely love losing myself in great characters which only truly gifted authors can actually accomplish. The writing is so smooth and flows so brilliantly. Gina and Leddy definitely delivered- in spades!
Jordana comes from a historic mafia family, and that's just it...times are changing and her old man is not. Little does he know his baby girl has fallen in love with a rival mafia families up-and-coming son, back in town and ready to take over! When she tries to save her little brother from a gambling debt, will she get in over her head? Will things ever be the same? What will happen when both families find out they are now forever linked, whether they like it or not? They will have to survive during dangerous shifts in power and come out the other side. Or will they?
You do not want to miss this one! Truly a gem of a book that will keep you enthralled from page one to done.

WoW!!! What an amazing MAFIA EROTIC ROMANCE BOOK!!! I have read a lot of Mafia/mob books..well, who wouldn't want a story where the hero is such an alpha, bad-ass and f*cking hot mafia boss right? But No words can express how good this book is. You know that feeling when you wanted to make a review yet you cannot form any coherent words because it's just is. That's how I felt after I finished this book. In fact, when you just read the blurb, it says it all. No sugar coating...no unnecessary twists and turns...just so straightforward that will make you eager to turn the next page because you can't wait to know what will happen next. The author each both made something in the story that makes it exemplary. The mafia and erotic romance was just a perfect blend. BDSM is slightly present but complemented to the mob character Stefan portrayed.

And oh?The cover!!!!Just as perfect as the Title! It relays and portrays so much more. It was actually what piqued my interest first. I was intrigued what this power of a woman can do in the mob world. As you go along with the story, you will not just be in awe with the plot but more importantly how both authors made this story so much more.

All in all, this is really a good book. A must read. Highly recommended.

WOW, what a read!!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I have to say I was blown away. Individually Leddy Harper and Gina Whitney are 2 of my favourite authors but together they are a force to be reckoned with. With Gina's hot descriptive sex scenes and Leddy's way of making the words come to life this book will have you up all night wanting to finish it.

The main characters are Stefan and Jordanna, both from mafia families at war with each other. What starts as a sexual encounter turns into so much more as these two develop a relationship whilst keeping it a secret from their fathers and fight for their future and the future of the new age, there is addiction, murder abuse and many more obstacles that these two must overcome to be together.

I loved the Storyline of a kind of west side story/ Romeo and Juliette mafia family romance. This book had absolutely everything. I loved the chemistry between Stefan and Jordanna. I also loved their strong family values and of course there extremely sexual relationship. This is one hot book.

But don't be fooled this is not your typical rainbows and unicorn romance it is dark and erotic. There are some disturbing scenes in this book but they are very well written and relevant to the heart of this book.

If you are looking for a standalone book packed with hot and steamy, action, mystery and a touch of romance with an Italian mafia flare, this book is for you!

2 mafia families, at odds with each other! WE see Jordana and Stefan hiding their crazy, hot, steamy lust for one another from their families. You think this book is going to be all kinky crazy but then you see the relationship develop and slowly Jordana lets her guard down and allows love in. I was on the edge of my seat wondering about Stefan. I loved his character so much and thought he is just amazing but does he betray Jordana or is he good to her? YOU MUST READ THIS TO FIND OUT!!!!!

I was very eager to start this mafia story. I have read other mafia/romance books before and I loved the peek into a different kind of world. One where men ruled and woman were made to conform in their own way. Alpha males and their caveman rules. But there is something very appealing about a man with confidence to rule. But this book was like no other I have read. A twist with the Mob lifestyle.

"In this moment, I was lost in the feel of him inside me, the hunger that clung to his face, and the uneven primal breathing between us. I fought to keep my eyes on his, but the ecstasy of what he made me feel became too great, and they unwillingly closed. The backs of my eyelids became a motion picture as I fell into the perfection of him. I'd grown so consumed by the bliss, lost to my own screams, that when I came, I barely registered the pain in my breast. I opened my eyes, blinking a few times. A perfect crescent-shaped indention on my skin had been left behind by his teeth. He bit me as he rode out his own orgasm. I had been so lost that the pain didn't register. The world grew dark, and I because weightless as I clung to him. If time still existed, I knew nothing of it- I was completely and utterly spent. Movement was not an option. Jordana and Stefan come from the same world. The old world, La Cosa Nostra, the mob. He is the heir to the thrown of the Gionotti family and she the crowned princess of the Albanese. Their families are bitter rivals but their desire for one another is to much to ignore.

Being in control of her life and those around her is the only way Jordana can compete with the misogynistic world she inhabits, but when it comes to Stefan, she gives everything. More than she knew she had. Stefan takes her submission and returns pleasure, the likes of which she has never known.

When the feud between their families threatens to destroy her brother, Jordana takes matters into her own hands. Discovering the lengths she'll go to protect her brother, Stephan is moved to step in and save her from herself. Together the pair will take on the ways of old and help move the families into the new millennia.

Stefan's Dominate side is balanced out by the swoon worthy need he has for Jordana. "I've been waiting for you Tesoro. All of this time...it's always been you." I ask you, what woman would not melt hearing those words? But make no mistake, Jordana is no delicate flower, she can hold her own and stand up to all that comes her way, including the dark sexual tastes of the sexy Alpha Dom.

When I was offered an ARC of this book I jumped at the opportunity. Gina Whitney is by far one of my favorite writers(I say writer as opposed to author, because I love the way she writes)and I was excited to discover Leddy Harper, a new writer to me. As I turned each page I was riveted and wanted more. The writing styles of Gina and Leddy blended seamless in this dark and sexy tale of love, desire, submission and power.

The plotline of this book does take a turn to the dark side, but there is enough heat and excitement to keep even those that shy away from the genre on the edge of their seats. I loved this book and would absolutely recommend it to everyone who enjoys strong woman, sexy alpha men, a bit of BDSM and really good writing. This book should definitely be on your TBR list.

I give this book 5 stars and hope to see more for this powerful writing duo in the future.

Where to begin with this review? I was a little skeptical with this book, as it didn’t hold anything back right from the beginning of the book. It was like instant smut, and I have to say I was very turned off by that. I personally like a quick build up to the smut, but I figured what they hey I’ll give it one more chapter, and boy am I glad that I did give it one more chapter. What a book! I loved Jordana, I loved how she sacrificed her body to save her brother. My favorite thing was that she held her head up high even after everything Zeke did to her. She is what I truly picture as a Mafia wife.

Stefan on the other hand, I had a hard time picturing him in the Mafia, as all I could picture was Paul Wesley who plays Stefan Salvatore from Vampire Diaries. Aside from the mental picture of Stefan, I loved his character, his ability to calm Jordana when she was so lost. How he loved her unconditionally, and how he would sacrifice everything just for her.

I am very happy that I gave this book a chance, as this was the first I had read by either author, and I like that it kinda/sorta left it open ended. I would absolutely love to see Jordana and Stefan’s story to continue, but if not, I am ok imagining them getting their happy ever after.

She found the place she could go and do just that with him ….

Stefan is the perfect man to dominate Jordana. She allows him to control her; to own her. Their families would not hear of their relationship outside these walls. What they need from each other cannot be spoken of because their families hate each other.

This is a great read. A hard ass woman who knows what she wants, a dominate man who has a heart inside of his chest and sins of the family … yes please.

Welcome to the Mafia world of deceit, lies, and secrets.

Jordana and Stefan belong to different Mob families. As they keep their relationship a secret it begins to grow into more than a casual hookup. Jordana is a strong willed women who knows that the men of the Mafia think women should not be involved in business but doesn't let that stop her. Stefan, well sigh, he is going to be your next BBF. He is a panty melting, sexy alpha male.

The story line flowed smoothly, which I think is amazing when you have two authors. The story may follow Jordana and Stefan but there was plenty of Mafia action to go along with it. It is not always an easy road for Jordana and Stefan as they move their relationship along.

This is a great read that contains light BDSM, action, secrets, lies, two dueling families, and action that keeps you turning the pages. Watch two people overcome their past to give themselves a great future.

This book has it all. There is erotica, a beautiful love story between two children of two of the most powerful mafia families in New York, did I mention that the families are at war with each other. Murder, soul deep partnerships, and secrets that will bond two people together in more ways than one, and no one saw it coming! Wonderful character development and a super sexy read. The team of Ms. Whitney and Ms. Harper is definitely a winner!

In order for women to wield power, they need to be able to use all of their assets, wearing a mask of control, devoid of emotions, because anything that makes them look inferior will be used against them and define them as weak, forcing them to submit to men in all aspects of their lives.

Jordana Albanese, a Mafia princess, refuses to be perceived as someone who will bend to any man’s whim/order. She learned early on how to survive the dark world she was born into by showing no weakness and shielding herself from being taken advantage of by anyone who sees her as a puppet to be controlled. But what no one knows about Jordana, except HIM, is that in order to deal with the chaos of her world, she needs to be able to let go in a way that allows her to feel the freedom of submission by being dominated by a man she trusts not only with her body but also with her heart, regardless of how their relationship started.

At the heart of The Power of a Woman is the love story that develops between two people who are not supposed to be together due to the bad blood between their families. But Gina Whitney and Leddy Harper craft their story in such a way that it cannot be denied how much Jordana and Stefan help each other to do more than simply exist in the dark and dangerous world of the Mafia. Jordana is Stefan’s treasure and he will do anything to protect her, even from herself. I loved how Whitney and Harper transform Stefan’s character as his feelings for Jordana intensify; the difference between his actions at the beginning of the story and then as the plan started coming together allows readers to see his true feelings and why he always needed to stay in control. Nothing Stefan did was without recognition of what Jordana needed and that is clearly demonstrated in all of his actions, even the ones she doesn’t know or understand.

But The Power of a Woman is so much more than simply a love story; it’s about a woman wielding power in a world that could easily destroy her; it’s about her struggle to not lose her confidence and self-worth when she’s faced with circumstances that are out of her control. It’s about trust – in oneself and the man who gives her what she desperately craves. And all of these ideas are clearly demonstrated in a seamless story that will have readers terrified, excited, and definitely hot and bothered.

Gina Whitney is definitely one of my go to authors, so I knew I would thoroughly enjoy Jordana and Stefan’s story, but adding in Leddy Harper’s lightness to Whitney’s darkness adds another dimension to the story telling, allowing the complexity of the characters and story line to maintain a rich blend of shadows and brightness, making it a fantastic reading experience.

When I first read the short story of Power of Woman by Gina Whitney and Al Daltrey, I fell in love with Jordana and Stefan’s story. They were complex characters that you knew had so much more to give us. Both of them kept so much information guarded and hidden until just the right moment that it drove me mad when the story ended. I wanted to know so many unanswered questions.

When I learned that Gina Whitney was going to continue the story with Leddy harper, I squealed with excitement. I just knew it would be amazing. And amazing is what it was folks. I loved every single second of this story.

The battle of who to trust and what are they really up to kept me flipping the pages. I just had to know if everything Jordana and Stefan were going through was worth it. The plays of deception run deep in this story. But so does the power of unconditional love.

One of my favorite things about this story was the character development. You could tell the authors really put the time into this story. The way everything unraveled was PERFECT!!! I loved every twist and turn this story took!

Was Stefan Giannotti calculated or what!? That man had me drooling, growling, swooning, and everything in between. Jordana never stood a chance at ignoring that sexy man. He loved with a fierceness that more men should strive to have. Stefan was brilliant, knew who to trust and who not to. And just how to make his woman writhe with anticipation or melt at his tenderness.

Jordana is no meek damsel in distress either. This woman knew what she wanted, went after it and did not let her family or anyone else tell her differently. She learned along the way that she needed to trust more and that being a woman was something she was proud of most. This woman grew so much throughout this story. I love when a character comes full circle and I really think Jordana did just that.

I do not want to give too much away with gushing over how much I anticipated and loved this story so I will stop right here. Just know you all need to one-click this BABY!

I am always excited to Beta for Gina, she never stays inside the box...She's always pushing boundaries and this was no exception. This was a collaboration between two authors, I've never read anything by Leddy Harper but i never let that dampen my excitement to read this book, if there is one thing i know of Gina Whitney it's that she would never collaborate with someone that would dull her shine. These two authors really do complement each other, and its definitely made me want to read more from Leddy.

This book is so much more than just another Gangsta/Mafia Book.

Its like a modern day Romeo and Juliet with a BDSM ;)

Even though Stefan and jordana know they shouldn't be together their attraction is too strong.
Jordana needs To be Dominant during her day to day living but at night time she requires the submission and thats where Stefan allows her to get the release she demands.

You notice throughout the book that stefan hates leaving marks on Jordana's body, he doesn't like losing control like that not with her, it leaves you questioning why?.
I actually loved finding out the reasons why when things come to light later on in the book.
Everybody needs a hero and i think both Stefan and Jordana became each others in different ways.

Although the book is dark and twisted in a truly Italian mobster fashion, it never steers away from the love story thats daring to break free.

Can these two young, naive lovers form a bridge between the two families or will they end up being the flame that burns the bridge down?!... I guess you'll have to read it to find out.

I won't go into to great details for fear of spoilers.
The one thing i will say is that if this is your first collaboration book or first mafia book you are in for a real treat and i can say that this will set a high platform for your future similar reads.

A superb 5 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ read that will keep you hooked.

Two outstanding authors getting together and putting one of the best mafia books together....what more can I say other than this book blew me away.

Jordana loved to be dominated, she loved being a submissive but she was also a very strong woman who showed her power and she wanted people to see that she was a very powerful woman, coming from a powerful mafia family.

Stefan was the son of the rival mafia lord and although both families did not get along, it seemed like Jordana and Stefan had a sexual understanding between them. He was able to provide to her what she craved the most.....to be dominated. He served his purpose and he filled her needs as much as she filled his.

Can Jordana and Stefan make stop seeing each other in secret and come out and tell the world about their relationship? Or will both families have an issue with this and go against it since they have been feuding for years. One family blames the death of a son on the other family , but the question is.....did this family kill this son and why was he killed?

So many lies, deceit, betrayal and lots and lots of lusty sexual encounters between Jordana and Stefan. So explicitly good that is!!

Jordan almost found herself dead for trying to defend her brother's honer, but Stefan was there to save her and now she feels even more powerful after what she's done, but she also has nightmares and demons that won't let her be at peace with herself. Can Stefan fix her and have the old Jordana back?

I absolutely, freaking loved this book. Mafia books always have so much intrigue, suspense and action that it makes you sit here reading and unable to find yourself to put your device down because you need to find out all the answers to the missing puzzle.

I devoured this baby in one sitting and it was one outstanding read.

I have read books that 2 authors wrote together in the past that you could tell that they didn't mesh well, with a marked difference in the story. Gina Whitney and Leddy Harper's writing styles flowed together perfectly in The Power of a Woman, and I LOVED this story so very much.

Jordana Albanese grew up the daughter of a Mafia king, who never protected her from his underworld dealings. She's learned that she must be dominant in the world that she knows especially as a woman. Her life is iron controlled, but she secretly is tired of carrying the control around 24/7. She finds her place to let go with Stefan Giannotti, the son of the enemy to her family. He knows just what she needs and gives it to her. Their feelings are growing, but they have to keep their relationship secret, as it would cause a war. When Stefan comes up with a plan so they can be together, will Jordana trust him enough to not take matters into her own hands?

WOW! I always LOVE Gina Whitney's writing, and this story is no exception. The character development is fantastic, with an original, sexy, and well written story line that flows perfectly. The story starts out with a bang, and keeps the high level of intensity throughout. The dynamic duo did an amazing job of keeping my heart racing cover to cover, and still left me wanting more. The EXPLOSIVE sexy scenes should NOT be read in public, as they will set panties on fire. The Power of a Woman is a highly addicting, fast paced, and well written book that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I received The Power of a Woman in an ARC in exchanged for a honest review. This was my first time reading one of Gina Whitney/Leddy Harper books, and wow did these Authors become one of my new addictions because damn can these Authors write. I love mafia books, but I have to say this is the first time I read a mafia book where the title has power and woman together, and honestly the title is what got my attention will and of course the sexy cover as while lol. If you love mafia books like I do then this is the book for you. The writers give us the mafia version of Romeo and Juliet except they don't die at the end. Yes these two strong characters have to go through some ugly obstacles until they can finally get there happy ending, but in the end everything they went through only made there bond stronger and they were able to achieve everything they ever wanted and more. What I love most about this book is the way the Authors describe and portray Jordana character. She is strong, beautiful, and can hold her own when it comes to some good hot sexy rough sex, and I love that because every hot alpha man needs a woman who can hold him down in and out of the bedroom.

Hold onto your panties ladies! The Power of a Woman by Gina Whitney and Leddy Harper starts off with a bang. I'd be lying if I said it didn't have my lady bits all in a dither. Jordana is a strong woman in a man's world. As a woman in the Italian mafia, there really isn't a chance that she will find the respect and honor she wants in this life until she meets Stefan. Stefan is a man that sets his mind to something and will do whatever it takes to get there. He is looking for the right woman to stand beside him.

Unfortunately for them, they are in warring families giving it a Romeo and Juliet vibe. Except lucky for us Jordana and Stefan don't die at the end. Hooray! One major drawback for me was that at times I felt the Jordana was inconsistent with her feelings I enjoyed watching her realize her potential and place in her world. The love scenes were VERY steamy for me! And all of the heart swelling feels finally come at the end, leaving you oh so satisfied.

And here we find the ruthlessness of the mafia is no match to the Power of a Woman.

Family dynamics, loyalty, honor and love fill the pages as the plot drives quickly forward. I found myself flipping ahead through the pages because I was so desperate to find out what happens. Being a New York Italian myself, I was amazed at how well the authors captured the City and put into play many Italian traditions. If you liked The Sopranos, you are going to love this book. It's really a great read and I'm so glad I have found these awesome new authors.

just WOW! I've read most of Gina Whitney's books and she amazes me
every time and now I have a new author to stalk with Leddy Harper.

These two talented authors have created a gripping, twisted, roller-
coaster of a story and one that one will have you hooked from the start.

When Jordana & Stefan, two people from different Mafia families,
embark on a powerful and sexy hot as hell affair, little did either of them realise how much they would connect with each other. With times
changing and the "Godfather" wanting to grow with the times, Stefan and Jordana must trust each other in order to do what is necessary.

I can't tell you how much this book had me hooked! The writing and the
words are powerful and definitely needs to be read by all who love a
dark and sexy read.

Great book written from the point of view of a strong, intelligent heroine. Jordan's progress towards gaining a fulfilling independence is fraught as she fights against a birth right she understands but needs to fight against in order to fulfill her own ambitions and gain individual recognition of her intrinsic worth as a woman. This puts her into situations of jeopardy and acts to provoke the opening up and deepening her relationship with family rival, Stefan Gianotti.Stefan is an excellent foil to her character and needs. His own character is revealed slowly to show the depths of his devotion and commitment. At times a challenging read which repays the reader in droves.

Jordana is a mafia princess, but is not your average mob daughter. When her mother passed, she not only took on those household responsibilities, but also took on care of her brother. What a mess that boy is and she has to come to his rescue. Let's not leave out the delish dish that she shares some serious scorch with on the down low. Big secret. Like Romeo and Juliet secret as they are from opposing families. I love these two together. They are just that...together. I really enjoyed their story.
