Great group of authors!

I really enjoyed reading this collection of four stories! The main characters Alivia,Fiona,Kyra & Summer, who are also best friends, are very interesting and real. All four of them have different and very relatable stories and I enjoyed reading every one of them. The stories might be a bit short but they are written beautifully and with an amazing ending. However,I feel like I liked Sunset Surprise the most...Kimon...

description

Don't get me wrong,I really liked Mateo,Trip & Jacob, too! They are all sooo swoon-worthy.I would definitely recommend this collection to romance lovers-the stories are short and sweet, just what you may need.

I enjoyed this series of novellas/short stories very much. The stories tell the stories of 4 women who grew up in a small town. They told the town good-bye, never planning to return, yet upon receiving an invitation to a high school reunion, they all decide they will attend together. The stories focus on one woman in each story and how her life has changed and continues to change after coming to Sunset Beach. They were all great stories and flowed amazingly well from one to the next.

I was sent this book by the author in return for an honest review.

Fall may be here but for a few hours I was still basking in the sun with the Sunset Beach Romance Series. The series is tied together by the friendship among the main characters, Alivia, Fiona, Kyra and Summer. Each of the novellas concerns one of these four women. I enjoyed all of these but especially Sunset Nights.

Like their characters the writers, Angela Ford, Sharon Kleve, Jennifer Conner and Natalie-Nicole Bates have their own unique style. Though together the novellas still remain seamlessly in sync.

Sunset Kisses by Angela Ford is a reminder that you can go home again. Those that are there may have loved you first and sometimes they love you best as in the case of Alivia.

Sunset Nights by Sharon Kleve has Fiona and Trip meeting in a unique way. Then it seems Kismet that that would again meet up on the opposite side of the United States. I just loved their story. Both are hardworking individuals who are not trying to climb the corporate ladder. I really liked their career choices as well as the idea that they were destined to be together.

The third in the series, Sunset Waves by Jennifer Conner has the four friends working together now. This novellas proves that Murphy’s Law can have a silver lining. Kyra learns to deal with an early reservation dilemma while finding true love in the process. It is very different from the first two which since Mateo is in need of a life change. He learns that careers and money can buy things but cannot take the place of family and love.

Sunset Surprise by Natalie-Nicole Bates is the last in the book and the one most heart wrenching. Summer has joined her friends in the Inn renovating endeavor, really not sure if this is where she should be. She has loss someone she loved and finds someone she thought she had loss for good ten years ago. It is an emotional poor little rich girl type of story. Still it is well written and I was interested in how Summer’s and Kimon’s predicament would be resolved.

All four novellas serve to give a well-rounded view of the friendship and later business arrangement between these four friends. Seeing how each woman finds lasting love is a delight. Now I want to book a weekend at the Sunset Beach Resort and Spa.

So I DNF this book at 35%. I really tried, as this was a copy given for review.

The book is about 4 girls who agree to meet back at Sunset Beach for the high school reunion. Each book written by a different author. Now this can work or well not work. In the case of this, it never worked, well for me it never. I felt like I was reading the exact same scenes at some points, like do you really need to have the same Skype scene, yes I understand it's from another characters point of view, but it's the same bloody scene...

The story-line was bland and to be honest cheesey as well. It just never did it for me. I was not enjoying it and I felt my time could be spent doing something/ reading something I was actually wanting to read.

Received a copy of the title from Sharon Kleve in exchange for an honest review.

I always find it fun (and interesting) when a group of author's get together to write a series. There has to be a lot of planning before that happens in order for characters to remain true. Each author was "in charge" of one of the four friends, but all four women appeared in each novella in this set of four books.

The four women are returning home to Sunset Beach for a 10-year reunion. The women don't necessarily want to go to their school reunion, but they certainly want to come back together. When back home, though, they find a reason to stay -- an inn that needs renovating.

This was a cute series that followed the opening of the inn. The most... annoying, if you will, story was likely the first one, a reuniting romance. I was annoyed with Jacob and his ability to forgive his lifelong best friend so quickly -- for as close as they were, surely she could have sent a card. Outside of that, though, I loved their history and Jacob's ability to cry (without seeming beta). Each story had it's bright moments, including the wit in book 2, the anxiety of figuring out a mess in book 3, and trying to learn to open your heart just one more time, in book 4. This group of friends were fun and engaging, and easy to read about. The men they choose to open their hearts up to were great counterparts to these women, and I loved the descriptions of the location and the inn.

A quick, cute set of four books to read when you're looking for heartwarming stories.

RETURNING HOME TO SUNSET BEACH

First off, I love series books, and this one did not fail. A great group of authors who each write a story about a location and each focuses on one main character's life while incorporating the other central characters in the series. I read each of the 4 books and will leave a little review for each story. These authors, Angela Ford, Sharon Kleve, Jennifer Conner and Natalie-Nicole Bates have a writing style that is in sync and makes each story exciting and flows together beautifully. Their connection is as in tune as the characters they write about.

SUNSET KISSES (Sunset Beach Romance) by Angela Ford
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Jacob Adams has loved Alivia Jones since they were children, even knowing her desire to leave, his heart wouldn't let go. Alivia had made life plans, leave Sunset Beach, go to college in New York and work on Wall Street. Sometimes plans and dreams do come true, but at what cost? Selling your soul to the devil. Brent Atwood, CEO of Financial Freedom, is Alivia boss and lover, but he is a selfish, self-centered man who expects to get what he wants. Will Alivia realize that there is more to life than making a name for yourself? Should she go back to Sunset Beach for her 10-year class reunion? Along with Fiona, Kyra and Summer, they make the decision to return for the reunion. Sometimes in life we learn that what we run away from is the things we desire the most, our home, our friends and the one person we have always loved. What a fun story with delightful characters, witty dialogue and heartwarming moments.

Sunset Nights (Sunset Beach Romance Series Book 2) by Sharon Kleve
WE WERE BROUGHT TOGETHER BY FATE
I loved this second addition to the Sunset Beach Romance series. Trip Delacruz and Fiona Paxton were destined to be together. To meet in a traffic jam in LA and then meet again in Sunset Beach on the East Coast. Fiona and her four best friends go back home to their 10-year class reunion and learn that there really is no place like home. Throw in a wild plan to revitalize the Sunset Beach Resort and a new adventure begins. Each friend has left to make a career, but they all realize they need more, a man that loves them. This story is a quick read with a fun cast of characters, witty dialog and heartwarming reunion of friends, old and new. The story kept me captivated and the pages turning with this second chance at happiness and love romance.

Sunset Waves (Sunset Beach Romance Book 3) by Jennifer Conner
RESERVATION MIX-UP
Another wonderful addition to the Sunset Beach Romance Series. Mateo Medina seemed to have it all, a great job, car, condo, money, but he was missing happiness and his health was in jeopardy. Kyra and her three friends have been busy getting the Sunset Beach Resort remodeled and soon to be opened. What a shock when a guest shows up before they are ready to open and with confirmation of a reservation. Sometimes going with the flow and making things work have a way of bringing about happiness and joy. The plot has a cute story, new romance and people being caring and compassionate when others are hurting. This is a quick read with a fun cast of characters and heartwarming dialog.

Sunset Surprise (Sunset Beach Romance Series Book 4) by Natalie-Nicole Bates
REDISCOVERING THE MISSING PIECES OF LIFE
This is the fourth and final book in the Sunset Beach Romance Series. Summer Whitney has returned for the 10-year class reunion and reconnected with her best friends, Alivia, Fiona, and Kyra. They have all pooled their money together to buy The Inn and are turning it into Sunset Beach Spa and Resort. Summer is a lost soul, flounder about, but not living and loving life. Having lost two men she loved, one when she was 18 and then another who was her partner and friend right before their wedding when he died suddenly. Seeing her three friends all happy in relationships doesn't help her loneliness. When a love from her past, Kimon Galanos returns, she has so many mixed emotions. This is their story of love, loss, heartache and reconnecting. The plot kept me captivated and the pages turning. The dialog is full of emotions and the reunion heartwarming.

I receive a copy of this book series from the authors in return for an honest review

This book was a nice, quick and summer-y read.

Okay as this is series is 4 different novella length stories combined in one novel, I'll try to explain and be as concise as I can.

Alright, so this story revolves around four friends- Alivia, Fiona, Kyra and Summer.
All four have faced their grievances after leaving their home town of sunset beach, so on a whim, they decide that as their high school reunion draws closer - it's time for them to come back...even if it's in a short period of time.

Okay, so this book is pretty much the same story, as in, the same plot - in four different perspective and with four different love stories.

So I thought I'd write mini what-is- the- plot-about versions, so:

Sunset Kisses

It's said that you never really forget your first love.
That no matter what you do, they will always be in your heart.
Successful business woman Alivia didn't trust love, she wanted success, she wanted praise and one day she got it.
Including a man women dream about,
But hers is not a fairytale ending.
Leaving it all behind she travels to sunset beach to go to her high school reunion and there she sees him.
The boy she could never forget,
Jacob.
but 10 years is a long time, could the dying embers of love be rekindled?

Okay so for this story I though it was nice, but it went really quickly..like REALLY quick. However, I suppose that they had known each other from infancy so that's kind of understandable.

Sunset Nights

Fiona is usually the happy go-lucky gal that everyone believes is just fine,
but sometimes looks can be deceiving.
Being notoriously known as a strong fate-believer, she knows that it can't just be luck that makes her constantly meet the same guy in different states!
Trusting Fate's judgement, she soon finds herself in a world-wind romance with a bee-keeper.

My reaction to this story was very much the same as the first, however, i thought that the romance moved WAY too fast in this. I mean, I know that it's novella length so you have to get the romance in fast, but this one they literally JUST met. *sighs* I guess I'm more into progressive romances, where you can actually see the characters fall in love rather that insta-love. It was still a cute read though.

Sunset Waves

hacked. That's right, what happens when someone hacks a website and you end up booking a room at a spa that's not even built yet?
A problem.
Mateo is tired of the way life is going for him, he has endless panic- attacks from a high stress job, he just wants a smooth and nice vacation.
The problem is that when he arrives at sunset beach, he doesn't actually have anywhere to stay.
But the best thing about this disaster is the enchantress that made him see life in a different way - Kyra.

This one was so sweet, I could definitely see a bit more of romance- development rather than it being insta-love. This was very much appreciated.

Sunset Surprise

SURPRISE! you're still married!
Is a nightmare situation for anyone, and very unwelcomed.
This is a disaster for a woman still mourning the death of a fiance.
So when the first love-of-her-life shows up with news that shakes the entire foundation of her world,
Summer has a HUGE problem.
However, is this fate?

This was probably my absolute favourite story of the entire set. I loved every moment of it, it was so good. The characters had history and unresolved issues, so for me, this was awesome to read.
This series definitely finished with a BAM! I just really liked Summer and Kimon overall, at first, Kimon annoyed me with his inferiority "oh, no-one-ever-remembers-me" attitude, but then he grew on me and the ending made me smile.

Well that's that.

Stay Awesome my lovelies!

Sunset Beach is an anthology of 4 short stories, with each story written by a different author. Each of the stories revolve around one of 4 women, best friends since childhood, who come together for a 10-year-reunion at Sunset Beach. All 4 of the women left Sunset Beach a long time ago, starting new careers and falling in love far from where they grew up. But when they return for the reunion, they all realize how much they gave up by leaving their hometown.

The first story, Sunset Kisses, by Angela Ford, centers around Alivia. Alivia has made it big on Wall St. but at the expense of her pride. She is reluctant to return to Sunset Beach because when she left home, she also left Jacob, her childhood sweetheart, broken-hearted. The character of Alivia is smart, sexy, and determined to make her way in the world without anybody else's help. She wonders if there is a chance that she could be happy and successful again in Sunset Beach, and comes up with the idea for the 4 friends to purchase and renovate an inn.

Sunset Nights, by Sharon Kleve, is the second story, and its main character is Fiona. Fiona has been living in Los Angeles, designing doll clothes, and in a messy romance. She has a chance encounter on the freeway with a mystery man, and fate steps in and shuts that door....so she thinks. Fiona is beautiful and talented, and thinks the idea of the inn is fabulous. One day, fate steps in again....can Fiona find true love and happiness in Sunset Beach?

Sunset Waves, by Jennifer Conner, tells the story of Kyra, as she, along with the other women, is working hard to get the inn ready for their first guests. Their first guest is quite unexpected, Mateo Medina, a businessman who has reserved a room at the inn for a much-needed getaway from his stressful job in the city. However, the inn isn't ready, let along taking reservations, and Kyra and Mateo learn that the inn's website has been hacked! He decides to stay in the only partially finished room at the inn anyway, and he and Kyra work together to keep the inn's business free from hackers. It doesn't hurt that Kyra and Mateo have instant chemistry, but will that chemistry lead to love?

Sunset Surprise, by Natalie-Nicole Bates, is the final story, and the main character here is Summer. Summer is a tattoo artist, whose fiancé has recently died. When she falls asleep on the beach and becomes ill, a handsome doctor finds her and takes care of her. The doctor ends up being Kimon, and man she married when she was 18, and he breaks the news to her that their divorce from 10 years earlier was not valid, and they were still married. Do Kimon and Summer still have feelings for each other, and can they get past the pain of their past?

Each of the stories was very romantic and tender, if a little predictable. It was fun seeing the women as they fell in love as they made their dream of an inn and spa come to life. If you are looking for something fun and romantic to read, then this anthology is just what you're looking for.

Sunset kisses

Sunset kisses is a sweet second chance chick lit read. Alivia left her small town to follow her dreams, her dreams of success was met but she wasn't happy, working all hours and in a reationship wuth creepy Brent.

The chance to return home to her small seaside town appears and she decides it's a great idea, as long as her friends are in tow.

She left a young man with a broken heart 10 years ago, what chance is there of still wanting each other?

It's a sweet story with likeable characthers, they rekindle there romance quickly and life changing decisions are made by everyone......

3.75 stars

Sunset nights

At the beginning of this story I found a little too much repetition from the first story, it soon moved on to Fiona and Trip, I really liked Trip the bee keeper. Fiona felt instantly attracted to Trip and after meeting a few times knew it was fate they'd met again.

A short but sweet chick lit romance.

3.5 stars

Sunset waves

Mateo and Kyra's story is my favourite so far I think, it has an interesting storyline and they seem to spend more time together to build a connection, they do fall in love easily but then again, who wouldn't if they met the right one.

4 stars

The last part is summers story, she's had a tough time, she lost her fiancé and has struggled since. Coming home to the beach town was a fresh start' she never expected her first love still to be there. Kimon is a successful man now and heard that summer is about again, good job as he has since news for her.

Sometimes the spark doesn't go out even after 10 years, with a little cajoling it be bought back to flame.

I enjoyed this last part if the series, it was really sweet.

Round up

If you love chick lit and believe in fate, this little series of novella's is right up your street, I enjoyed reading the girls stories and would quite like a little vacation at sunset beach.

3.75-4 stars

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author and I'm very thankful for it.
Four strong successful, strong women, four handsome and charming men, one place- The Sunset Beach.
That's the recipe for amazing romance.
In the first book Sunset Kisses stars Alivia, who is a successful investment banker in New York, finds her life being controlled by her control freak boss. Also her life is missing out of something or rather someone she left heartbroken on the Sunset Beach.
Jacob on the other hand waits for the love of his life to return back to him. The avenue is created for this perfect romance to go ahead when Liv receives an invitation to the 10 year reunion and decides to attend it along with her three best friends Fiona, Kyra and Summer.
The story is about coming back home to mend relations and find true love.
The second book Sunset Nights is again a splendid love story on the backdrop of Sunset Beach. This is the story of Fiona, who has become successful in designing clothes, but is having zero luck in romance department until she meets the dashing Trip. Sparks fly and the romance as sweet as honey is created.
The third book Sunset waves opens with Mateo our lead technician having no place to sleep on a pre-booked vacation. As our host we have the independent girl Kyra looking after him. They mere vacation leads Mateo on a fun investigation and a budding romance.
Last but not the least Sunset Surprise is a really touching story of dear Summer the tattoo girl who has recently lost her would be and thus is all alone while her friends are happily in love.
But then fate brings in Kimon her ex-husband who also a brings a shocking news: That they are still married. Thus Summer has got a second chances at her happily ever after.
All the stories are such a blend of fun, joy and coming back home that it makes one just feel wonderful and relish the love they have in their current lives.

Wow what an enjoyable series of short stories/novellas written by four different authors, which I am giving an overall four stars.

The first story starts with a group of four best friends Alivia, Fiona, Kyra and Summer that return home to sunset beach for their ten year high school reunion.

Each book is written about one of the friends with them being the main character in that one book. How their life's was in the city and they reasons for there return to the to reunion, and each one having a romance with a guy and realising they should have never left sunset beach. Alivia comes up with an idea to buy an old inn and convert it into a spa which continues in each book.

Sunset kisses and Sunset night are the first two stories and are set at the beginning of the reunion, Sunset night does repeat things from the first story Sunset kisses. I actually found myself saying "hang on a moment I've already read this!"

But the third and fourth books Sunset waves and Sunset Surprise moves on months down the line, these books I enjoyed more especially Sunset surprise I felt there was more of a detailed storyline and kept you wanting more.

Overall a very enjoyable read and likable characters. Definitely a summer chick lit to read on the beach. I am looking forward to reading more of these authors again.

This is an anthology of four short stories written by four authors about four best friends that return home for their tenth high school reunion.

Sunset Kisses by Angela Ford: Alivia has made it to the top on Wall Street but is feeling dissatisfied and rather used. Will returning to Sunset Beach for her class reunion and seeing her childhood sweetheart, Jacob, be a good or a bad thing?

Sunset Nights by Sharon Kleve: Fiona makes doll clothes but has just come off of a bad relationship and needs a change. Will the beekeeper she meets be a keeper?

Sunset Waves by Jennifer Connor: Kyra is working to get the Spa and Inn ready when Mateo, an unexpected guest, arrives. This story has a bit of a mystery to solve and discusses whether or not having a high salary is worth all the stress that often comes with them.

Sunset Surprise by Nicole Bates: Summer has lost a lot in her life. One of the men she lost ten years previously suddenly reappears in her life with unexpected potentially life changing news. Is the news good or bad or somewhere in the middle AND what how will it impact her life?

Thank you to Books to Go Now and Sharon Kleve for the copy of this book to read and review.

Sunset Beach Romance Series is made up of four short stories by four authors, about four friends who come back to the little coastal tourist town, Sunset Beach, where they grew up. The authors, Angela Ford, Sunset Kisses; Sharon Kleve, Sunset Nights; Jennifer Conner, Sunset Waves; and Natalie-Nicole Bates, Sunset Surprise - are all new to me but I will be looking out for their other books now. They have taken the main characters, Alivia Jones - a Wall Street wonder, Fiona Paxton - designer of fashion clothing for dolls, Kyra - a New York publicist and Summer Whitney - a talented tattoo artist whose partner recently passed away, & woven a charming anthology of well written stories. The characters are fleshed out & their interactions with each other & minor characters who also appear throughout the books, are beguiling. There are slight variances in continuity in each story and while this is somewhat off putting, it does not detract majorly from the overall enjoyment of the book. If you are looking for romance that is both fresh and intriguing, then Sunset Beach Romance Series fits the bill.

This is a series of 4 books woven together to show how some small town girls get their dream of getting out to the big city, only to find that they miss home.

Each book showcases one of the friends and a little of their history, where they are in the big city & why they come back home. They decide to go in on a old Inn to turn it into a spa. Each book can be read on it's own or out of order. The storyline is similar for each book but the slight problem is that the timeline of how things happen for the girls ending up back home doesn't really seem to match up in all of them. Overall it's an enjoyable series that is a very quick read. Each book is under between 50 & 60 pages or so. The books in the series are:

Sunset Kisses, by Angela Ford. Alivia & Brent's story
Sunset Nights, by Sharon Kleve. Fiona & Trip's story
Sunset Waves, by Jennifer Conner. Kyra & Mateo's story
Sunset Surprise, by Natalie-Nicole Bates. Summer & Kimon's story

I recently read Four Weddings and a Fiasco: The Wedding Switch by Sharon Kleve and thoroughly enjoyed it, so was delighted when Sharon contacted me and asked me if I wanted to review the Sunset Beach Romance Series.

The series consists for four novellas, each written by a different author, with each book telling a story about one of the four lead female characters. I loved that they all link and that the transition between the authors is flawless. You meet the characters in the first book and they develop throughout the series and get to learn more about them and their back stories. I loved reading this series, it was such a lovely way to pass an autumn day being wrapped up in a warm blanket with a hot drink and being whisked away with them to Summer Beach. Highly recommended – each book deserves 5 stars

3.5 Stars - I enjoyed the stories that were in this series all set in a town called Sunset Beach. For the most part they were sweet stories with little to no conflict. I was able to read each story individually in a short period of time which is satisfying. I especially enjoyed the 4th story, Sunset Surprise by Natalie-Nicole Bates, it had a few twists and turns which made it more interesting to me. This would be a great read for someone who like lighthearted romance. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great series written by four authors but blends together really well. It could use some minor editing but I loved the stories and the characters.

These four friends all had reasons to leave and not want to come back to their hometown but once they have all they thought they wanted and decide to come back for a reunion, will they realize that home is exactly where they belong? Can fate step in and lead them to their true dreams?

I really enjoyed these stories and would definitely read anymore series they write together.

This was a lovely collection of novellas. I have to say that it was neat to read a series where each story was written by a different author. Though there were differences to be found, they felt natural as each story focused on a different character (one of four friends). Any differences just added to the narrative because it felt like it added to the uniqueness of each main character. I would definitely check out other works by the same authors.

I thought that this was a cute series of novellas about four friends. I especially liked reading Fiona's story, because I've never read a book where the main character designs doll clothes. And I thought that it was really interesting. I loved the friendship between all of them, and I was glad that they all found their happy endings.
