Good knitting book with an interesting premise, to create a knitted wardrobe from camisole to outerwear "inspired by an element in the ritual of dressing". Doesn't quite get there but there are several very interesting designs within. The first chapter lays down the basics of knitting, creating garments that fit, and embellishing your garments. My favorite garments in this book combine two different yarns in one design: the Eveleigh pullover uses a worsted weight bodice with a lace weight cowl/illusion neckline and the Xian pullover combines a lace yoke with a stockinette bodice. Very sophisticated. This book also includes designs that are felted, bobbled all-over!, use intarsia, have lace appliqué sewn on, cabled, beaded! Lots to learn.
