Ultimo capitolo della trilogia e ahimè come i precedenti l’ho trovato un po' piatto, ma scorrevole e piacevole da leggere.

Oh dear, not the very best. I'm usually hyper when reading CM, but this was not a favourite of mine, but it was o.k. It was published in 2011. 3☆

I liked both characters in this book. The hero is not harsh and obviously in love with the heroine but I can see why both hesitated to confess their love of each other. When someone is part of the family for so long, it can be a little bit awkward to change their usual relationship and step into the next level. I like the hero who is not harsh or too arrogant to force the heroine to do anything(there are a fair bit of hero's POV written in this book and hence as reader, I can understand his action a lot better). I also liked the heroine acts quite mature throughout the book (which is a really refreshing to read as I found most of the HP books, the heroine's action is too much affected by the hero or his "physical attractiveness".

Andrea sangat terkejut ketika mendapati dirinya hamil. Apalagi tanpa ayah sang bayi disampingnya. Andrea yakin Adam bahkan tidak menginginkannya apalagi mencintainya. Tp ketika Adam akhirnya tahu kalau Andrea tengah mengandung anaknya,ia pun menawarkan pernikahan.

It was actually a wonderful book, in the sense of the inspiration and basic story outline. However at times I felt that it was difficult to read and follow. When the end of the book came, I was in tune with everything and it was mostly sorted out. I didn't understand why the hero kept giving money to Glenda when she did absolutely nothing to deserve it, she should of been punished. As for the hero and heroine, they were a lovely couple and the ending of the novel gave the book it's due.

May/December romance(14 years)

Hero has been a family friend for about 20 years. Big shot movie producer, confirmed bachelor due to a bad childhood. He is in love with the youngest daughter of 3. (Each have a story)His realization that he loves the heroine is on her 18th birthday but he doesn’t act on it as she is so much younger and his best friends daughter. ( he is almost 40 and the best friend is 54ish)

Heroine is almost 26. She has been in love with hero since she was a kid. She believes that his one true love is her dead mom. One night in a jealous/anger moment they have sex...on the floor...past the entry door...oh and she is a virgin...she believes he had sex with her because she looks like her mom...she asks him to leave.

Their carefree friendship is now strained....oh and she is pregnant. Everyone in the family knows but she isn’t ready to tell the Hero. She takes leave of her glossy magazine job to have a stress free pregnancy. Hero finds out she’s pregnant...proposes marriage....she accepts.

This is the angst of our story. Each of them love each other, but thinks they are alone in their thinking. We see them go back and forth in their insecurities for each other. We find out more about the hero’s past in the last 20 pages. We get exclamations of forever love(it was good) and we get a nice wrap up!

I don’t know.

They do a quickie, she gets pregnant and they are about to get married. Then one night they are making out and he stops because he wants to wait until after the wedding ceremony.

I mean, wtf? Dude, she is already pregnant, there’s no point in waiting now. Just ridiculous.

I didn’t like that there is more than 20 years of age difference between them and that he is a long-time friend of her dad. That made it look too much as if she has a daddy issue.

Andie Summer gets pregnant after one night of sex with a friend of her father's, Adam Munroe. Andie and Adam have been in love with each other, she since she can remember and he since she turned 18. A bit cliché that neither of them knew the other's feelings. Really? I especially didn't like the great age gap of 14 years between the two of them and how Andie harped on about how she thought Adam had been in love with her mother.

SPOILERS

The previous book had enough hints about Andie's pregnancy; that was easy to guess.

The plot was moving along fine until Adam found out about the pregnancy and decided that marrying Andie was the one and only solution. Andie, like every pregnant out of wedlock HQ heroine settled for a loveless marriage hoping that eventually Adam will learn to love her. I don't care that Adam and Andie had been in love with each other for years! Neither one of them knew about the other's feelings by the way. Marriage because an unwanted pregnancy is effing idiotic. Years, and I mean years ago maybe but now? One day, a HQ author will dare write this trope with more depth and with a heroine (no matter how much in love she is with the heroe) with enough self esteem to stand on her own two feet and not settle for crumbs.

I couldn't get into this book. Andie is having Adam's baby but doesn't want him to know but he finds out and tells her they are going to get married. I just didn't like Andie, Adam was ok and revealed about his past. it could have been better

3.5* rounded down to 3* Extra 0.5* because it's finale of trilogy and a good HEA for 4 couples!

The misunderstanding and miscommunication created almost all of the conflicts...nit as angsty as Danie's story but it really helps to yave read book two then this book...only on chapter 4 we finally had a flashback on how Andie and Adam got together and now she's pregnant.

The contrived conflicts of Andie's mother and Glenda just acted as distractions.

This book was written in 2001. As I have said in the past 2 reviews mobile phones had to be pretty common by then why did the characters still acted like home was the only place to ring up someone?

Also it's kinda old school that the age gap between hero and heroine is so big like more than 10 years.

Harrie was 29 and Quinn was 10 years older at 39. Danie was 27 and Jonas was 38 11 years older. Now Andie was 25/ 6 and Adam the family friend 14 years older! OK this age gap itself acted as a barrier to their relationship as Adam would not risk the friendship he had with the whole Summer family...

Though the added bonus romance between Audrey and Rome was funny. I could see this back in book 2 so it was good to be right in my guess.
