Synopsis:With Commander Sarah Kepler imprisoned and being brutally interrogated by her captor, Chase learns more about his birthright powers as he tries to locate her. It soon becomes clear that he must learn to control them or he could end up destroying the very universe he's trying to save.
Meanwhile the Destiny battle group is being escorted to Droxia to answer for their actions, unaware of what awaits them upon their arrival. On Earth, humanity licks its wounds when some unforeseen acts of terror threatens the newly found peace that the fresh and frail Alliance brought along with their arrival.

Interesting, Iconoclastic, Mythological, Military Space Opera
Christian Kallias has created a very interesting and enjoyable space opera series, based on Greek mythology. It is very good, although I do believe that some of the heroes *Could* have a non-Greek name! Actually, some few of the heroes have non-Greek names, but the majority are Greek. A very minor quibble, which is basically my most critical complaint after reading this.
Kallias does a wonderful job of utilizing both Greek names and Greek mythology to create this iconoclastic space opera.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS BOTH AN INDIVIDUAL BOOK AND AS A SERIES!

FURY TO THE STARS continues where Last Sanctuary with its gritty realism and depiction of combat in space and the terror of facing off against an enemy of such incredible power. A lot of the main characters from the first book are back and a few new ones are introduced. I loved that Mr. Kallias gave my favorite character, Ryonna, a lot of scenes in this book and shows how bad ass she is.
There is a lot action and character development in this book. Chase learns more about himself, his heritage, burgeoning powers, and a shocking new secret. The characters deal with self doubt as they do their duty to fight for humanity. I also like the Greek mythology Kallias weaves into his story.
It was an entertaining read and I look forward to see what happens in the next book.

I was again lucky enough to be a beta reader for Christian's second book. His writing style reaches now new levels and the second book builds wonderfully on the first one to deploy the full depth and breadth of the storyline. Good job my friend!

This novel is even better and more complex than its predecessor. It starts off slowly but quickly picks up the pace. You can see the writer is in his element, depicting glorious space battles and one on one fights. A very fine and intense read.

I read the first book and enjoyed some of the space battles. I decided to give the second book a chance by purchasing 1-3 of the series in a package. I can't get through the second book without truly pushing myself to do so. I am having a hard time with the overt proselytizing of vegetarian ideals and the super pro green movement. I understand that it a novel set in the future in a mostly Utopian Communist society, but the story tries to hammer these messages into the reader in a very overt manner. I get it... factory farming is terrible, but the constant pushing of the author's political beliefs through the text becomes frustrating. I could also not get past the very basic story telling of the novel. I currently work as a teacher and this reads like a fan-fiction written by one of my high school students. I appreciate the author's effort, but the series just doesn't seem like it is for me. The book is a fairly quick read due to the style of the author's writing, but doesn't really leave me with anything of substance in the end. The basic writing causes the characters to be very one dimensional and flat, but not in a way that's new or interesting. I don't think all literature needs to be awe inspiring or leave me questioning at a deeper level, but I should feel some kind of emotion as I go through the course of the novel. Overall, I was really dissatisfied with the direction this novel took and will not be finishing the series.

Kindle Unlimited, tho first one might be permafree or whatever. Space opera plus, think that is the 'genre' if you have to have one. I liked it, it having a little bit of almost everything and even some humor although noticed one of the reviews {which only glance at and only after already reading the book} said might have been unintentional...but to my way of thinking maybe the reader just found it humorous. As far as things not being realistic or whatever, well it's space opera and we are not in space for real yet so who knows, besides perhaps the writers of doctor who or star trek or the like, I mean come on Olympian Gods and you are just at what point thinking some things aren't 'real' enough

It is entertaining enough. IF you are new to Space Opera or Sci-Fi in general, you may really like the first and second book of the Universe in Flames series.
However, if you are a seasoned reader, you will note the formulaic sequence of events and be reminded of both Star Trek and Star Wars. In that, you have the ‘utopian’ cashless society; end of racial and cultural animosity; end of religious fanatics, and have plenty of key SW elements such as Master, Force, Bloodline, Light v Dark, etc. But, I wouldn’t dare to compare Ryonna to Jar Jar!
The characters continue to drive the story, which is a good thing. There are more battles, more tech, and more training to be had. And yes, more story to be told.
In this installment, there is a traitor in the midst (no spoilers, but easily ferreted out). Bonus – races against time, some more Olympians, more bromance, too. In sum, it is entertaining and I’d put this installment at a 3.4 Star – so just a bit below the round-up to 4-Star rating. I do have the third book, and do plan on reading it – just not right away.

Top class sci-fi
This is an entertaining action packed storyline. Carrying on directly from book one with Sarah in enemy hands and Chase just beginning to learn of his abilities. A fast paced story told from various viewpoints and in locations ranging from Earth to an Alien prison with Olympus as an aside. A real heart stopping shocker at the end. I will be starting the next one straightaway.

The story carries on well but I got a bit tired of moral lectures. That meat farming is really the cause of climate change and not fossil fuels! Where did that come from and the point of it being in the story. Some of the sub plots are a bit weak and "suddenly" solved by simplistic story lines that weaken the overall flow of the main story. They almost feel like fillers to make up the pages.

Fury To The Stars is the second book in the Universe In Flames series. While you could read this as a standalone book, I don't recommend that. There is a lot of violence. The premise of the book is interesting. The author weaves a military SciFi story with Greek mythology and the "ultimate evil" working behind the scenes. I'm curious to see where this series goes.

Book 2
Book 2, where to start. The characters are still naive to a point and is predictable as to how it has developed. The plot is also predictable and somewhat aggravating in how events unfold. I understand it's a series but the decisions Chase makes are mindboggling in dumb. I dont plan to read the third book.

Furious!
With a brother like Argos it's a good thing Chase is discovering his powers.
The story is fast and furious, with physical fights and space battles throughout. We learn more about all the players, some changing sides as they go.
Very exciting to read.

Sci-fi
Like book 1, I had to see what happened next, and now I have to read book 3 so I can see the end. Towards the end of the book it was getting real intense, but I have a bunch book 3 will get even more intense.

6th grade content extremely shallow. Can’t recommend to anyone. Totally regret purchasing.
Feels like a kids level book. Would have been better as an elementary comic book. I can’t get the 75 minutes of my life back I spent reading this.

Still stretching the "willing suspension of disbelief" with unbelievable adaptations of characters to new technology. Just hop in and fly new star fighters with no training and defeat the enemy!

Wow! I just finished this, and it was good. Tense irony, and ruinous emotion. It's a very wild ride with some very interesting battles.

Another great action adventure
