I really enjoyed this story. The author gives you a wonderful plot with characters you can really get invested in. Cassie and Theo pulled me in from the first page with the delight story of second chances. Everyone has that one that got away it is always nice to see someone get that person back with a wonderful romance that will make you smile. This is such a sweet entertaining romance that you are going to love. I hope you give this author a chance and pick it up for a wonderful read you will remember.

Cassie & Theo's story is truly one of longing. Cassie has crushed on Theo since they were kids. She longs for him to want her but at the same time, she is afraid to trust him, or any man, for that matter. Theo always had a thing for Cassie but never got a chance to have one night with her in high school. His reputation and his love for music drove him away from Cassie for years. Now suddenly, he's back in town and he finds her again. So he plans to seduce her into a one night stand to lay to rest his high school fantasies about her. He wants her to long for him when he leaves town soon with his band. Music, booze, women is all he needs.

So we have a lovely adventure as these two deal with their memories, thoughts, longings, insecurities, fears and misunderstandings. Several times Cassie & Theo get close to falling into bed, to admitting their true feelings but something always distracts or interrupts. The author cleverly manipulates the reader into longing for these two souls to unite. When the one night finally happened, I exclaimed , "It's about time!". But this one night only complicated their plans and confused their emotions. At one point, there was a revelation that so shocked Theo, it had me hurting for him. One gets invested in these two characters so much that you can't let go for a minute.

First time reading Kelli McCracken and I can tell you I will definitely be reading more! She had me hooked from the second I started reading. Theo is finally seeing his dream come true. His band is taking off. The only thing that would complete his life is Cassie, his childhood friend that he's been longing for this entire time. He hasn't seen her in 6 years. His band is playing in a bar in his hometown and he runs into Cassie! Cassie sees him with a groupie and she runs into the arms of her casual weekend hookup. When Theo and Cassie finally get a moment alone, sparks fly. They have always had a thing for each other, but never acted on it. They know what they want, but can they overcome the obstacles to get there.

Sexiest Read of 2015!!!

Kelli McCracken is truly a riveting Story Teller. Her latest creation is Longing for You. This is the story of Theo and Cassie and if you read Only in Time you will remember that Theo is Jonah's brother and Cassie is Aly's best friend. Theo and Cassie went to school together and there has been an attraction between them forever. Theo is in town recording with his band and with the help of Cassie they try to get Jonah and Aly together. Will they also finally give in to their attraction to each other?

This book truly was an amazing read. Theo and Cassie are hot as hell!! Kelli definitely brought the heat in the story. I had to turn on a fan to cool off my kindle. The character development and story line is great. This is one book I couldn't wait to finish but hated reading that last page. Kelli has a way of weaving a story around you and becoming part of your soul. This series is called Touched by Magic but I think Kelli has some of that magic herself, because every book of hers that I have read becomes part of me. I would highly recommend this book and this Author. I cannot wait to see where this Series takes us. I would give this review 10+++++++++++++++++ Stars if I could. Well done Kelli, another masterpiece.

This is a review of Longing For You by Kelli McCracken on behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium.

I enjoyed this book very much.

This story is based around 5 people. Cassie, and Ally who are best friends and known each other for years and Jonah and Theo McCabe who are the Brothers they have known and grew up with since childhood. And Mike the bartender.

A complicated tale of loves lost, hearts and feelings hurt and how each of these people go about getting there lives back into order.

Ally and Jonah were once a serious item, but he upped and left town suddenly to follow his dream in the music industry leaving her behind.
Theo always had a "thing" for Cassie but one day at school trying to defend Cassie's honour changed all their lives forever.

Fast forward six years and through a fluke of chance and a little "magic" thrown into the mix, all their paths cross again, and this book tells all their stories.

This book held my attention most of the way through, a little slow sometimes but it didn't effect my enjoyment at all. There are lots of angst moments, moment's in which you wanted to slap someone really hard, and moments where your heart melted, a good all rounder and one I would recommend you to read.

She cared for him once but thought he only ever saw her as a friend. After all he never took their flirting that one step further. Now 6 years later he is back and hotter than ever, is there a second chance at what she has secretly always hoped for?

Cassie is strong and self assured she knows what she wants and when she wants it and doesn't let anything get in her way.

Theo is a guy who knows what he wants, but going after it? Well that's something he needs help with from time to time. He is sweet and caring even though most only see the bad boy persona he shows.

These two are allot of back and forth knowing what they want, but not how to get it. Coming up with schemes to spend time together rather than admit what they really want and it was fun to see when they both realized the other person wanted them just as much.

With plenty of HOT scenes, second chances, and a little old lady with a touch of magic you're sure to enjoy this one!

I LOVED this story. Cassie and Theo drew me in, right from the start, especially since I’m a sucker for friends-to-lovers and second chance loves. Longing for You was entertaining, a sweet romance. A little on the contemporary side, which was a switch for me but I totally enjoyed it!!!

This compelling, steamy romance tells the story of Theo McCabe and the girl he lost his heart to, Cassie Clark. You can read more about them and the intense chemistry they have for each other despite the years, tears and lies, in the blurb, but what I want to tell you goes beyond that taste of the plot. What readers want to know is this; “Is “Longing For You” worth my time and money?” To this question, I can answer a resounding, “YES!” McCracken’s writing takes the reader within her story, revealing the inner angst of both the Theo and Cassie. Readers get to see his side/her side of events and reactions so that the reader can understand why the characters act or react in the situations into which they are written. Doing this allows the development of RICH characters whose actions are validated since the reader has the background. Additionally, McCracken uses those action, musings, and dialogue between characters to let her readers discover, rather than being told that she is emotional, or he is stubborn. Reader’s are allowed to experience it all under the promise of a happy ending, so it is enticing to see just how the author works out the plot. Theo and Cassie's relationship dates to when they were little bitty kids, so they really know each other quite well. They were best friends while growing up until their Senior year of HS when Theo's father sent him away. Theo and Cassie have undeniable chemistry. My ereader smoked when they were together. Watching Theo work his "magic" to win Cassie's trust and love made this a thoroughly enjoyable story. I loved the way they compromised to make their relationship work. Neither one had to give up their dreams to be together--they met in the middle.

I enjoyed getting to know the other members of the band as the story unfolded. It's obvious the guys are all good friends who have each other's backs. Jonah is supposed to be the "stable" influence in Theo's life but I think he needed a little guidance of his own. He's a tad volatile.

The reason I didn't give the story 5 stars is because there are a couple of things that didn't sit well with me. Just because Theo moved to New Orleans was no reason he and Cassie couldn't stay in touch. Where did Theo live in NOLA while he was still a minor? What happened in NOLA that caused him to hit rock bottom and how did he revive his career? This seems to be an important aspect of his past but is never explained. I felt the way things ended with Mike was off. Also, the way Theo reconnected with his parents was just too pat for me.

Having said that, I still recommend reading Longing For You. It was a page-turner that kept me interested from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Cassie meets up with Theo after texting him by accident and Theo talks Cassie into working together with him to reunite starcrossed lovers Ally and Jonah. Longing for You is emotional, suspenseful, funny, sweet and steamy. Kelli McCracken put me through an emotional wringer and had me hooked with an entertaining story full of vulnerable and lovable characters. Theo loved Cassie forever and his longing for Cassie jumped off the page. This book is a must read for fans of sweet second chance romances.

Second chances

Cassie works for a record company and loves to party. She doesn't want to settle down and enjoys her life. Theo is a musician and loves the women who throw themselves at him. He has known Cassie since he was five and have always been fascinated with her, but the time was never right.
Now he's in town to record a demo and runs into Cassie at a club where he's playing. They flirt but they each go their own way. Cassie is surprised Theo is her new client at work. They set up a scheme to get her best friend Ally and Theo's brother Jonah together.
Theo realizes he wants Cassie for life but he'll have to convince her he's in it for the long haul.
Wild sex. I have always hated the double standard people have for men and women...if a man sleeps around he gets high fives and praise. If a woman does it she's a slut. I think it's wrong. Great story and can't wait to read Cori's story.

A little bit rocker romance, and a little bit second chance romance, except it's not really a second chance in terms of this couple getting back together since they were never actually a couple. Instead, it's a second chance at what Theo once thought unattainable - a chance to be with Cassie. The story is a good mix of sweet and sexy, and I liked the added element of possible magic. The angst comes by way of miscommunication and misunderstandings, and wasn't over the top, just a bit predictable. My problem lay in the couple Theo and Cassie are trying to fix up. There's a lot of talk about Jonah and Ally breaking up up with hints at what caused it, but no real answers. As this one is labeled as book one in the series, I didn't realize there was a prequel with Jonah and Ally's story, which might've cleared up some of those unanswered questions. In the end, the story was interesting enough, it just didn't have that wow factor for me.

A Hot engaging, entertaining, enjoyable hot read. It's a second chance romance that's exciting, awesome, naughty, with drama, passion, angst, and excitement as a feel good read. Theo, Cassie, Jonah, and Aly were all high school friends that had a series of missteps and interference that sent them on different paths then are joined again 6 years later. Theo a musician who always have had sizzling chemistry with Cassie is reunited when he becomes her new client at work set up by Jonah. Can they get through all the emotions and road blocks and come to a compromise without losing their self in their way to a HEA. This was one that kept me turning page after page.

I will admit I was confused in the beginning with all the characters being introduced to us in such a fast fashion. I did go back and reread the beginning part and straightened myself out of who was who and who had dated who way back when. The love story was very sweet, and progressed nicely as the story developed. I figured out who CeCe was pretty early on, and that probably made it easier when Cassie and Theo figured out who Cece was, as i wasn't as upset as i knew it was coming. I enjoy Ms. McCraken's writing and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

This is a wonderful second chance at romance with an amazing storyline and consistent plot. The story flows smoothly and is a fast pace read. The characters are very strong and sweet and you will love and root for them. This is one hot, well written story that is full of drama, twist, hotness, witty banter and humour. A well written sweet story with nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters that have a nice chemistry and passion between them. They are well described and develops nicely.
Cassie and Theo have both been hurt in the past relationships. They try to get on and let the past be just that. A misunderstanding in school pulls them apart. They meet again years later but can they give each other a second chance.
The story is a bit different but I felt it was slow at times. It has drama, angst, love, trust issues, passion and twists. Enjoyable read.

You just gotta love a bit of magic! 💓 easy read, lovely 2nd chance love, liked Theo more than Cassie but only because she came over a bit selfish and I thought she was nasty to Mike, she really didn’t have to ignore him and then treat him that way, no wonder he was confused they’d been seeing each for a year! Aaaaaannnnddddd anyway, the actual whole 2nd chance love story with a bit of magic was lovely 😊

Theo and Cassie have known each other since they where young. They where friends but never seemed to advance any further. Years have past and they run into each other and both start to have feeling but they are not sure if they should act on them. I like that Cassie has fun with her sexuality and dose the no strings attached just like the bad boy rocker. Good read.

I really enjoyed Cassie and Theo's book it was really well written and a good second chance romance.These two had been friends since they were little but Theo's dad sent him away in high school and they have not seen each other since that is until he comes back to town to record his music.The attraction between these two is off the charts hot.I really enjoyed watching them get to know each other again a really good start to a new series.

This book was so good. It is about 4 friend's who are in love with one another. Cassie and Theo won't admit it until years later. Dyllan and Ally know it but did nothing to keep a relationship past high school. When Dylan and Theo go home to work on Theos bands demo, fate has a way of bringing them together again.

A great second chance love story. The book takes you on the journey Theo and Cassie take to get back to each other. Lots of emotional upheaval and revelations as you get to see the past through both their eyes and it gives you the ability to understand what motivates each character and how it effects their lives and choices. Overall a great second chance story with lots of emotion and great characters.

This was the first book I've read by Kelli McCracken and it will not be the last. I got so caught up in the book on my morning commute I almost missed my stop on multiple occasions. I laughed, I cried, I stayed up at night trying to stay awake to read just one more chapter. I felt for Theo and Cassie's story and was happy for them. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
