With a wink and a nod to the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood, this Level 3 Reader may strike some readers as hilarious.

Fitch has invited Chip over to his house for dinner. When they get there, a certain question comes up...
When Fitch says, "My granny will love you," does that mean "My granny will love to eat you?"

Granny Wolf does have very long teeth.

On the bright side, might chocolate chips be involved somehow?

This easy reader relies on the child's memory of The Three Little Pigs. In this story, pig and wolf are friends, and wolf has invited pig to dinner at his Granny Wolf's. Pig is understandably nervous, especially when Granny Wolf's loose false teeth cause her to be misheard (will they be having "some thin pig" or "something big"?!).

This was a fun turn on the "Three Little Pigs" a little pig is friends with a little wolf. The Wolf invits the pig to his house to meet his Grandma. the pig is scared of the Grandma especially since the words she says sounds like she's gonna eat him! But then she says it's because her false teeth keep moving around in her mouth! He soon finds out she's just as nice as his friend.

I wish I'd found these when my kids were in the early reader stage. Fun book. Great repetition of words for increased reading fluency and word building.

The assumptions in this story are hilarious! I love that the stereotype is proved untrue. Not my favorite series, but I did enjoy this book.
