Fun, silly, light-hearted animal stories by author of BABE.
Nice range of animals[dinosaurs, elephants, pigs…]
Easily accessible for ages 3-4 to 7 especially.
Some fractured fairytale-type/some fable[message]
Overall nice read-aloud or independent read for younger audience.

As I was reading these stories to my grand niece over the past few weeks I was delighted by them and laughed often. She was not as amused. I finally realized that she didn't have the cultural context to appreciate them because she didn't know the original stories that they are satirizing. Sigh.
