3.5 - "Whatever happens next, we'll face it together." Stars.

As you would expect the poop literally hits the fan in this the final instalment of the first series. Dakota Alvarez finally lets fly, and there are very few families in Storm, Texas that are left without shit landing in their vicinity.

Some threads of the storyline are tied off, some are left to be resolved at a later date and a few new ones are added just for good measure.

I haven't disliked this series, and as a somewhat experimental way of delivering a story based around a town and it's many residents I would call it a success.

Another positive for me is getting to experience some really exceptional authors, I think their skill is highlighted in the fact that each one has managed to pick up where their predecessor left off so seamlessly.

For me, I have a slight issue with the lack of depth, development and overall likeability of the bulk of the cast, the seventh novella stands out for me as the best, in that it largely focuses on one family, and doesn't jump here, there and everywhere.

I also think the price for each novella somewhat steep if you add all eight together and than take into account that most of the authors involved are offering full length books for the same price and less. would I read a series like this again... I honestly don't know, but for now I think I have spent enough time with the residents of Storm.

Someone’s world is about to come crashing down, as the unsavory acts of a sexual predator are exposed in the city of Storm. Who will be hurt the most, the accuser or the accused? One unborn child may have its parentage unveiled, and cost its young mother the only chance she may have for happiness. Yes, we are back in Storm, Texas with the final episode from Dee Davis presenting Thunder Rolls. More secrets, more broken hearts, more lies, and they are all part of the web that is spinning tighter and tighter around the city limits of Storm.

Dee Davis gives us a spectacular season finale with one heck of a burning cliffhanger AFTER dropping a huge bombshell on both Storm and her readers. The tension ran high as characters were placed under the microscope of judgment and found guilty. Will the politics of the town turn the focus from its biggest fraud to the young victims of false dreams? Guess we won’t find out until next season…

Wow! What an ending!!

Thunder Rolls was a quick read, but definitely packs a punch. The storm has finally rolled into Storm, Texas. Secrets have come out. Families and relationships have been torn apart. There was never a dull moment. You finally get answers to some of your questions, but as with any great serial series, you will find yourself gasping for more.

Rising Storm Season One was such an exciting and unique serial series. It’s a great example of why I love serial series’! I love that each episode was written by a different author, but each story flowed together so perfectly, but with the individual authors spin on it. Season One has come to an exciting end and I certainly can not wait to see what season two will bring us!

The long awaited final storm has finally rolled and landed in Storm, Texas. Are the residents of Storm ready and prepared for the aftermath? Well, one thing is for certain, all those dirty secrets, scandals, betrayals, and lies are finally revealed. Dee Davis did an amazing job wrapping up the first season of the Rising Storm in this eight installment, aptly titled Thunder Rolls as she was able to leave one nasty aftermath of destruction as family bonds of Storm residents are ripped apart. The truth of Senator Rush and his proclivities for younger women are finally exposed in such a manner that reminds readers hell has no fury like a woman scorned. And boy oh boy, Dakota is out for revenge. In the backdrop of the Founders Day Parade, Hannah went about her feelings for Tucker in such a manner that I didn't quite agree upon since she and Tucker were discovered having an affair, leaving Tate feeling betrayed by his girlfriend and his own brother. And as the truth of Ginny is exposed, can Logan ever trust her after the known possibility that the child she is carrying could be Senator's Rush? So one thing is for certain, this small town of Storm was hit with one destructive gush of truth? What awaits for the residents of Storm? Well, I guess I will have to wait for season two to get my answers.

Overall, I think Dee Davis wrapped up season one in such a manner that left me wanting to know more. There are still many secrets left hidden so I can't wait for season two as floodgates of raw emotions come barreling through Storm, Texas. One thing is for certain, Storm residents better take cover because I think a new storm is brewing and this time I believe it could possibly leave an even more deadly aftermath.

Did you hear the explosion that just rocked Storm, Texas? While it wasn’t a physical explosion, the town of Storm will never be the same after some strong accusations were made at the Founder’s Day celebration. Lives have been torn apart, relationships shattered, careers possibly ruined and while one woman got her revenge time will only tell if it was worth it.

This is the last episode in this year’s season of Rising Storm and author Dee Davis certainly knows how to leave the audience wanting more and wondering what the fall out will be when the smoke clears. This was nail biting, edge of your seat drama and while anyone whose read this series wasn’t surprised by the information shared by a woman scorned, the rest of the town is reeling and scrambling to figure out how to reconcile what they thought they knew and what one person claims is true.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this season of books from 1,001 Dark Nights and the very talented authors that have brought this series alive. While I’m not a fan of serials, I think because I’ve been “in” on the secrets from the beginning that I haven’t minded the way this series has played out and even now waiting until next year’s season I’m okay with it all. These writers have done a fabulous job of creating an intriguing and unique series all while maintaining continuity throughout despite each episode being written by a different author.

Thank you to Evil Eye Concepts, Liz Berry, MJ Rose, Julie Kenner and Dee Davis for giving me the opportunity to explore this fabulous series and to all the authors of this season and seasons to come; thank you for this one of a kind and truly fascinating world that reminded me what I loved so much about those 80’s night time dramas.

Quick & Dirty: The sexiest and steamiest episode yet!

Opening Sentence: “It’s a wonder we ever get anything done.”

The Review:

Thunder Rolls is the final novella aka the end of Season One in the Rising Storm series. This novella was the steamiest and sexiest of the series so far. Thunder Rolls lays the ground work for the drama and secrets that will tear the community of Storm apart for some time to come. You definitely want to read this series in order to get the impact of how the different storylines play out. If you like drama, soap operas and knowing other people’s business, I definitely recommend this series for fun.

The story has been leading up to the Founder’s Day celebration, a festival that everyone in the town of Storm pretty much partake in. I was really expecting a tornado to come through town with a title like Thunder Rolls or at least a good lightning strike to unsettle everyone. (You know like the Garth Brooks song says. I keep hearing those lyrics running through my head.) But alas, there was no actual storm just the big thunder clap ka-boom of the shattering of the towns many deep dark secrets.

I don’t want to spoil any of the main events that happen during Thunder Rolls but I will say the main storyline does follow the love story of Hannah Grossman and the two brothers Tate and Tucker. I will say this is the only relationship that I believe will weather the storm that seems to be sweeping through Storm, Texas. Feelings were hurt but I’m really relieved as a reader to fill like a love story was finally told during this dramatic series.

I loved the writing of this series and especially this installment by Dee Davis. Thunder Rolls actually had a romance hit a climax unlike the cheating or young couples that we’ve seen so far. I hope Season Two will have more stories like this. I have a feeling that Season Two will bring with it many more secrets and hopefully a resolution to a couple of the open ended storylines.

Notable Scene:

“I don’t want to screw up your life, Hannah. And I sure as hell don’t want to screw up Tate’s.”

She nodded, tears filling her beautiful eyes. God, he hated when women cried. It damn near unmanned him. Especially when it was Hannah.

“How can this be wrong?” she whispered. “When I want it so much.”

“Sweet Hannah.” He sighed, throwing caution to the wind. He’d spent his whole damn life trying to walk the straight and narrow path. Do the right thing. And so far the effort hadn’t paid off at all. Maybe it was time to ignore his brain and trust his heart. Even though there was sure to be hell to pay. “You’re sure this is what you want?”

“Yes.” There was no hesitation. Her fingers stroked his temples and her gaze never left his. “I’m positive. Sometimes you just have to take what you want. Damn the consequences.”

FTC Advisory: Evil Eye Concepts, Inc./InkSlinger PR provided me with a copy of Thunder Rolls. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

At last! The BIG secret is out! I'm glad that we got the big reveal in this episode of the current season, but if this was really a TV series, I'm not sure I'm going to be back for the second season. Sorry, not really a fan of this serial format, there's not enough character development, it just seems to be one scandal/secret after another.

This book brought the first season of Rising Storm to a satisfying conclusion, while still leaving some things up in the air so that a second season can happen.

My one complaint about the book, and this is mainly because I want more of the story, is that it could have been split into two books. The first half was about the love triangle between Tate/Hannah/Tucker. It was quite well-written, with enough twists that I was taken off guard by some of what happened. The second half was about the Founder's Day Celebration and Dakota's blowing the town apart because she's a spoiled brat who got her heart broken. Yeah, my opinion on Dakota hasn't changed one iota, even though she seemed to have some remorse towards the end of the book.

I thought the second half of the book could have been split off into its own book. That may just be me, though, because one of the things I like about huge secrets coming to light is the fallout that occurs. We didn't get nearly enough of the fallout. I wanted to see more about the WHOLE Rush family's reaction to Sebastian's philandering. I wanted to see more about the Salts feelings about Ginny's lie. I wanted to see the rest of the Morenos rally around Ginny, even though I'm fairly certain none of them are thrilled with her decision to lie about the baby. (Well, a perceived lie. I'm not entirely convinced that the baby isn't Jacob's. There will have to be a DNA test. And if I know my soap operas, there will be some tampering with that test to make the question linger that much longer.) And I wanted to see the rest of the Alvarezs react to Dakota blowing the town apart. Not to mention the other families peripheral to these families. This easily could have been spun off into its own book, and the love triangle from the beginning could have filled its own book.

Regardless, it was very well-written, and I am eagerly anticipating Season 2, as well as the mid-season books that are going to be coming out soon.

One other thing that I really enjoyed is the introduction of the Abernathys. Specifically Gavin. I get the feeling that he might be gay, which makes me very excited. That's been the one thing missing from these books. There hasn't really been any LGBT presence, aside from the Payton/Francine flirtation, which, while nice, had such a slow burn compared to the other romances in the book. Perhaps the book in Season 2 that Christopher Rice is writing will focus on Gavin, and possibly Jeffry (my gaydar prickles with him, too)? And include Francine/Payton as well?

In either case, there should be plenty of story to go around for the next season, and I can't wait.

The storm has finally rolled into Storm, TX, and it didn't disappoint.

Hannah has been with Tate for years but has harbored feelings for Tucker. Tucker has always had feelings for Hannah but his brother beat him to asking her out. When Tate decides to run for mayor without consulting her, just assuming she's willing to go along with him, Hannah has had enough and Tucker is there to pick up the pieces. The way they both handled it wasn't right, nor was the way Tate found out, but that's par for the course in Storm.

Senator Rush underestimated Dakota, and she certainly exposed him for what he was. Her public revelation exposed not just him, but Ginny as well. Logan is understandably upset, as are the Salts. They all feel deceived.

There's plenty of anger and hurt in this installment. Some, but not all, secrets were revealed. A lot of questions were left unanswered, including how the town is going to rebound from what has been revealed. It's going to be a long wait until Season Two begins, but I'm looking forward to it.

This is the unconclusion to this crazy series. Some truths has been revealed in spectacular manners however several plots continue to brew.

Sebastian continues to plot and plan his future goals and wants them to include Tate Johnson. Tate will have to change his career plans to get on board. In Tate fashion he agrees first and after springs it on his girlfriend, Hannah. Hannah is upset that Tate didn't speaks with her first, she doesn't want to change her life. When Tucker appears Hannah makes a life changing decision of her own.

The drama continues leading to the explosive finale. Dakota manipulatively acquires information that will send shock waves through Storm. It's doesn't take long for the opportunity to present itself for Dakota to take center stage. Dakota's announcement leaves the town reeling. Storm will never be the same.

The series is not over yet. There is more to come. Not all the town secrets are out of the bag. There are still many unanswered questions and a baby to be born.

Oh man did the shit hit the fan in this episode. Of course just in time for the ladies to wrap up this years season of Rising Storm. Reading Thunder Roll was liking into a good episode and thinking that you are going to go to commercial only for the screen to flash To Be Continued....... You scream “NO, No, No, No, you can’t leave it like that!!!!” Sadly that is what happened....
Until the next season. I hope the town folk of Rising Storm have a least a good night sleep

WOW....what a way to end the season!! I couldn't put it down and once I got to the end I was so upset that it was over. Secrets get revealed, families get torn apart, new loves get found while others break. For such a quick read it packed a huge punch! As with most season finales, this one ended with a bang and a scream of irritation "You can't end it there!!!"

If you haven't started this soap opera you are missing out on some the best writing! All the authors involved so far are awesome, didn't miss a beat between one book and the next. Kudos to the editor(s) for making it flow so smoothly that if you didn't know you would think it was all written by one author.

I really love the way Dee Davis closes out the first part of Rising Storm series and the name of this part is great. I can't decide who the thunder is Dakota or Sebastian, because they definitely know how to bring a storm to Storm. I really like visiting each family in the book. I find myself rooting for certain characters and wait to see how the other characters screw up things for everyone else. I am not usually a fan of cliff hangers but the way Dee did it was perfect. I can't wait for the next part in this series. Each one of the authors that wrote a part of this series did an awesome job tying the stories together.

This was a pretty good finale to the first season. I liked Hannah and Tucker together and I am glad things got revealed before things go too deep in secrets. I thought she had better chemistry with Tucker over Tate and hopefully everyone can move on and heal from what went on. As for what Dakota revealed to the town. Wow! That was great; another secret that was brought to light. This one seems to affect so many people too and it is going to be interesting to see how all these different people find the will to move on from Ginny's big secret. That last chapter though did make me want to slap Travis upside his head. Hypocritical much?? Looking forward to what season 2 brings!

The final installment for the first season is sure to blow Storm Texas wide open. First with the some turmoil, facing Hannah and her new relationship with Tucker. Tucker and Tate are still at odds over the woman, and there is a lot to get over. Then as the town starts their Founder's Day celebration, Dakota finally finds her opportunity to wreak havoc for the Senator. She just does not realize how much her announcement is going to destroy this town. I can't wait for the next book to see how the fallout will be dealt with. Natalie Ross is amazing, giving this particular story the craziness it needs and lead you to the midseason stories.

It's probably my fault that I didn't understand everything that was happening. I did pick up this series at book #8. But seriously from what I understood everyone is out for revenge, there are secrets left and right and no one to redeem his or her neighbor. It was a short novella and still seemed too long for my nerves. Let just say I didn't give me any feels and didn't make me want to know more about those characters. It just wasn't for me I guess. I might give the authors another chance but not with this series.

These books read like a soap-opera type book.

This book attempts to finish the stories of all the different characters in the book . We shall see how that goes. Too many loose ends to tie up a this point.

If you like drama and quick reads this book is for you. If you like substance in your books I suggest you skip it for the next book on you kindle. Well there are still a bunch of untold story endings so maybe this isn't the last book. I am grateful they are over and I can move on to something delicious. Happy reading :)

Storm, Texas is getting ready to celebrate Founders’ Day, but dark clouds are hovering over the residents’ lives. Tate Johnson might be bound for glory soon as his father asked him to succeed him as the town’s next mayor, and then Sebastian Rush (him again!), tells Tate he would take him as lieutenant-governor, if Sebastian is elected governor, obviously. But that should be a piece of cake, right? However, when Tate rushes to tell his lover Hannah his wonderful news, one of her puppies is missing, and she is not overly enthused about his announcement. His callousness makes her seriously rethink their relationship, until something huge happens with Tucker, Tate’s brother. Meanwhile Mallory tells her sister Dakota what she knows about Jacob’s childhood accident, and Dakota is now armed to the teeth against dastardly Sebastian, and she plans to take action, “consequences be damned”. Gavin Abernathy is visiting the Rushes with his parents; the Abernathys and the Rushes would like Gavin and Brittany Rush to be an item, but they’re just friends, and I have the feeling Gavin is destined for someone else… And Ginny’s world is about to implode, while she finds a most unlikely ally.

Oh my goodness! How will I ever stand it until next spring!!! THUNDER ROLLS raises even more questions than it answers, and the suspense was killing me while racing to finish Episode 8! It occurred to me while reading, that we react differently to some characters’ decisions based on our own experiences, and that is genius! Another outstanding episode, where you go through the wringer, and live vicariously every emotion imaginable. A few new characters are introduced, and some of them are going to shake the Texas town even more in the future. O the delicious agony of having to wait, think about all that’s happened, all that is yet to come!

RISING STORM is one of the most ingenious literary ideas I have ever seen, and it is such a joy to see that is done so brilliantly. Terrific writing throughout, fabulous cliffhangers in every episode, great characters that you love and hate – some simultaneously! – fictional people whom you care for. Bring it on, ladies!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 12, 2015

Secrets, Sex and Scandals …

Welcome to Storm, Texas, where passion runs hot, desire runs deep, and secrets have the power to destroy… Get ready. The storm is coming.

As Hannah Grossman grapples with the very real possibility that she is dating one Johnson brother while secretly in love with another, the entire town prepares for Founders Day. The building tempest threatens not just Hannah’s relationship with Tucker and Tate, but everyone in Storm as dire revelations threaten to tear the town apart.

REVIEW: THUNDER ROLLS by Dee Davis is the eighth and final installment in ‘Season One’ of the multi authored RISING STORM serialized storyline focusing on Storm, Texas. The build up to the finale looks at the potential fall out when the truth about Ginny, her unborn child, and Senator Rush comes to the forefront of Storm, Texas’s Founders Day Celebration when a jilted Dakota Alvarez makes good on a promise to destroy the man who tossed her aside like yesterday’s garbage.

THUNDER ROLLS also looks at the destruction of a relationship; the proclamation of a burning love; and a family that has become the center of attention in a town where sex, lies and scandal are commonplace and not unexpected.

The RISING STORM serial followed the soap opera style lives of a town controlled by the political elite and powerfully rich. Average citizens didn’t stand a chance at normalcy when their lives were structured around keeping the faith, and re-electing the town’s famous son. The eight installments flowed together seamlessly, smoothly, and without a pause in the action or scandals. Each author built upon the previous installment such that the storyline proceeded effortlessly and efficiently; there were no obvious bumps in the course of the action. The entertaining serial ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, the results of which will hopefully be addressed in Season Two.

The end is here! Well, the end of this season which is exactly what I thought it would be. The big blowout of truths that comes out and leaves you hanging until the next season. As any good soap opera should do. The thing about it is that although this was a good installment in conveying exactly what had to be, I've lost steam along the way and I don't care about the outcome as much.

Of course I saw it coming about who it would be that would air out the dirty laundry, and I'm sort of happy it was her because I disliked her to begin with. But also, I thought from the beginning I would have more sympathy for Gini Moreno and I don't anymore. I think she has it coming, whatever comes her way.

There is one last bit of crazy drama that happens in this book with another couple that we briefly glimpsed in a previous book. You sort of knew this had to be coming. But I don't think what actually happened was so believable. I mean, the sex was believable and I think they're a cute couple. I mean the afterwards part. How these three characters dealt with the emotions of the moment. Just didn't buy it.

The drama in this installment is at an all-time high and the pacing of this story was really good, so kuddos to Dee Davis for that. Overall is one of my favorite ones in the series in terms of execution. But I think because of how I started feeling about the series in general I couldn't give it a higher rating.

Will I continue? I don't know. We will have to revisit that when the time comes.

Founders day is here! Are you ready for some of Storm's secrets to come to light? Trust me they will! Along with those moments we get the story of Hannah and the 2 Johnson brothers. She is dating Tate -- the local lawyer but she is having some forbidden feelings for Tate's brother Tucker--a rancher. Talk about complicated! Only in Storm am I right?

But don't get me wrong from the first time I saw Hannah and Tate together earlier this season I knew they were not meant to be together. He's all high society and political posturing -- Senator Rush Jr.' if you will and she is a pet loving, can't ignore taking in stray animals, Miranda Lambert type of awesome female character! I kind of wanted to strangle Tate when he said "he's just a dog" when he wanted Hannah to drop everything, stop looking for Fred just so she could be his arm candy at the Rush cocktail hour.

Speaking of characters you love to hate! Dakota is planning vengeance and is looking to take everybody down with her! Even going so far as to raid the garage of the doctor who had served the town for years under false pretenses of looking for pictures for the Founders Day celebration but really searching for proof of Jacob's injury that might have made him sterile.

“I guess the heart wants what it wants.” It was Rita Mae’s turn to sigh. “Unfortunately,” her sister said, “that’s usually just when the trouble starts."

Truer words were never spoken in this and it caps off the beginning to the celebration where (almost) everything comes to light and people learn some of the truths and begin to band together once more. Some unlikely allies are formed that I did not see coming! All in all it was an action packed season! Stay tuned for the 2 mid season episodes this spring and then season 2 which premieres September 2016

Here we are... Episode #8 has rolled in and we are at the close of the season - cue sniffles! I am going to be so lost without my weekly fix of the residents of Storm!! However Dee Davis sets us up quite nicely here in Thunder Rolls and leaves us hanging on the edge of our seats (just as any good season finale) and counting down the time until Season 2.

Thunder Rolls ends Season 1 as we started with secrets, sex and scandals... The biggest difference here, is that now they become EXPOSED!

So we revisit Hannah Grossman - seems she may have been dating the WRONG brother all of this time. And it isn't just her that thinks it... Tucker is also in love with his brother's girl *GASP* Uh Oh! Will they betray Tate? Well... would it be a soap without some sex and betrayal? (Just saying!) Now Founders Day is finally here! As the town gathers together, Dakota is presented an unexpected opportunity that she can't help but use to her advantage. With only revenge on her mind - to take down Senator Rush for breaking it off with her - Dakota reveals a secret that will shock everyone sitting there. Will those affected be able to recover? Only time will tell.

OMG! Dee Davis packed a helluva punch with this episode! She broke open a few huge scandals and secrets that left the residents of Storm scrambling. This was the perfect way to leave us hanging in a season finale! There are still a plethora of secrets hidden, ones that were just revealed that we are dying to see how their reveals will play out, and all the emotions that are now flowing through the town are sure to bring on a whole new storm!

I definitely recommend that you tune into this series. Just start from the beginning ;) They are fun, quick reads that will grab you and suck you in!

One of the big storms I had been waiting for during the last seven novellas came about in this one. The sh*t hits the fan for Ginny Moreno and Senator Rush, thanks to Dakota Alvarez. I really enjoyed reading this episode.

For a good portion of the story, the reader learns more about Zeke, Tate, and Tucker Johnson. Zeke wants his son Tate to run for mayor and take his job during the next election. When Tate's girlfriend hears this, she's not happy because she doesn't want her life to change. Plus, she has a thing for his brother Tucker. This all blows up, too. I don't want to say too much and spoil it for anyone.

In my review of the previous episode, I complained that there hadn't been much character growth so far in the series. That changes in "Thunder Rolls." There is a lot of character growth for Lacey Salt, Ginny Moreno, and Dakota Alvarez.

If you haven't read any of the Rising Storm series yet, I suggest starting at the beginning. Everything builds upon the previous episode. I should also warn you that most of the series is sex-free, but this newest episode has a detailed sex scene. In previous episodes, the sex was summarized or described briefly. However, in "Thunder Rolls" the reader gets a play-by-play of every move. It didn't bother me; I only mention it here because I know not all readers like to read that much detail about sex, while other readers love it.

This is a great series for people who like stories about affairs, relationship problems, secrets, and heartache. I give "Thunder Rolls" 5 stars for being very well-written, holding my attention with lots of drama, and having the characters learn from their experiences.

The end is here! Well, the end of this season which is exactly what I thought it would be. The big blowout of truths that comes out and leaves you hanging until the next season. As any good soap opera should do. The thing about it is that although this was a good installment in conveying exactly what had to be, I’ve lost steam along the way and I don’t care about the outcome as much.

Of course I saw it coming about who it would be that would air out the dirty laundry, and I’m sort of happy it was her because I disliked her to begin with. But also, I thought from the beginning I would have more sympathy for Gini Moreno and I don’t anymore. I think she has it coming, whatever comes her way.

There is one last bit of crazy drama that happens in this book with another couple that we briefly glimpsed in a previous book. You sort of knew this had to be coming. But I don’t think what actually happened was so believable. I mean, the sex was believable and I think they’re a cute couple. I mean the afterwards part. How these three characters dealt with the emotions of the moment. Just didn’t buy it.

The drama in this installment is at an all-time high and the pacing of this story was really good, so kuddos to Dee Davis for that. Overall is one of my favorite ones in the series in terms of execution. But I think because of how I started feeling about the series in general I couldn’t give it a higher rating.

Will I continue? I don’t know. We will have to revisit that when the time comes.

The Storm has Arrived!!! So much happened in the last episode of this epic series. People came together that, consequences be damned, they finally admitted their feelings for each other.

"How can this be wrong?" she whispered. "When I want it so much."...."Sometimes you just have to take what you want. Damn the consequences."

However, the outcome isn't exactly wine and roses. Not that they should have expected it to be, but peoples true colors have shown through. And what colors they are, I mean, how could someone that claims to care about someone, say such disparaging things just because things don't go the way you want them to?

As predicted last week, Dakota Alvarez caused quite the stir at the Founders Day Festival and the results have a wide reaching net of disappointment and drama for nearly half of Storm, TX! Unfortunately for Dakota, it looks like she's not going to get what she wanted - Sebastian Rush. But let's be honest, that wasn't ever going to happen anyway!! What surprised me the most with how everything went down was Payton Rush!!

As we might have expected, Ginny Alvarez has the most to lose with how the storm was unleashed.

"I didn't lie. I just didn't tell you the whole truth."

Will she be able to stay in Storm to raise her baby or will the town shun her? Will Logan stand by her during the rest of her pregnancy or will he too desert her? Will there be a custody battle for her unborn child and who would be involved in this custody battle?

We won't know these answers until Spring 2016 when Season 2 is released.

Thunder Rolls is the last episode in season one of Rising Storm and what a finale it is! Dee Davis has captured the mood perfectly in this final hot and sizzling instalment.

It's time for Founder's Day in Storm, Texas and the preparations are just about complete, although Dakota Alvarez has to dig a little to get the conclusive evidence she needs before she goes on a verbal rampage.

Two people can't deny their feelings for each any more, as they give into temptation and ignore the consequences of their actions...until they are caught!

A new political alliance is forged, as a man with as much ambition as Sebastian Rush is persuaded to join forces with him, knowing he's probably just sold his soul to the devil himself. All this before the devil's “sexploits” are exposed.

Ginny Moreno's secret is uncovered as other members of the community have to come to terms with consequences of her deception, as the storm reaches its peak. What will happen now?

There are still plenty of threads to allow the series to continue and I'm completely hooked and committed to continuing with this Texan soap opera as there is another Storm brewing in the distance!

4.5 stars for Thunder Rolls

5 stars for The Rising Storm series, which has gripped me for the entire 8 weeks. I'm going to miss these gossipy novellas full of angst, lies, betrayal and drama. I'm eagerly anticipating season two in 2016...bring it on!
