Tess Bailey will never forget the day that Eli Flint burst into her life. He's a hard man, tempered by a life lived on the edge - but Tess sees something in his intense blue eyes; something that grabs her and just won't let go.
Eli's an ex-con; he served three years for selling guns as a member of the notorious Sons of Flame MC. Now he's out, and he wants to put his past behind him and move on.
Of course it's not that easy. It's never that easy.
Tess is Eli's probation officer. Young and idealistic, she's determined not to become as jaded as her coworkers. She deals with some of the most difficult and dangerous men - men who have always lived a life of crime, men for whom that life is all they know, and ever will know.
But Eli's different.
Underneath his tough, spiky exterior, Tess senses a man who wants to improve himself, who wants something better from life.
However, when Tex, the cruel and bitter leader of the Sons of Flame, blackmails Eli into working for him once more, Eli is forced back into the life he's trying to leave behind. And Tess, the woman Eli is falling for, is unwittingly drawn into this dangerous world with him...
**Redemption is a full-length standalone romance with a HEA**
This was the most unique MC book I've read. For one, all of the negative things I don't like about the mainstream MC reads was absent. No club whores, no other women at all. Just a guy who made some bad choices that gets a second chance at life. The person he wasn't expecting was Tes who is none other than his probation officer. Things aren't all romantic in this fast moving read though. It's mostly suspense and a lot of nail biting moments. Then one sexy as sweet HEA epilogue wrapped it up perfectly. If you like romantic suspense that's not all about the sex but more about mystery and redemption then this one is for you. Kindle unlimited available too. Can't go wrong.

The rating for this one was mainly my fault I think or well, it was actually bad timing. Oddly enough I had just finished watching the news on television when I started reading this book. The biggest thing that kept being played was a special about a guy in prison having a sexual involvement with a female guard who worked at the prison he was at and how she got in trouble because cops that work in the prison aren't supposed to have inappropriate relationships with the prisoners. Then I go and pick up this book and essentially get the same thing except the female is a parole officer etc. So the entire time I'm reading this book that's all I can think about is seeing this news report on tv and my mind just kept going there. Redemption is written fairly well and its characters are good and I liked the story but at the same time I wish I hadn't watched the news prior to reading this book. So sorry Rhodes, that kinda affected how I mentally saw this book play out in my mind. It was too odd a mesh between fiction and reality. I may have to come back to this one later on.
Until next time book lovers...

This is not your typical MC romance book. I'm a huge fan of MC themed books. I was surprised with Sons of Flame MC - Redemption. It was nothing like I am used to in a MC book. It turned out to be the complete opposite. This time the MC wasn't the good guys. Even though it was different, it was actually pretty good.
✷REVIEW SCORES✷ Hero Score: 4 Stars Eli Flint, a good guy who made a dumb mistake and paid for it in prison. He's got a conscience and you can tell he wants to get away from his past and live a better life. Heroine Score: 3.5 Stars Tess Bailey, she's got a tough job, even more so being a woman in that type of job. I felt like she needed to be tougher, stronger maybe. She just didn't fit the part for me. She wasn't bad though. Interaction Score: 3.5 Stars I would like to have seen a little more interaction between Eli and his grandmother and the man he works for. Same with Tess. She was a loner to me. I think if she'd had other friends, even just one close girlfriend that she interacted with, she'd be more likeable. Storyline Score: 4 Stars I was actually impressed by the way the author decided to take the story. Away from the mainstream style of MC writing. It was different and gave the reader another perspective. Good job. The End Score: 4 Stars No cliffhanger and a HEA, always a win. Overall Score: 4 Stars I think Ms. Rhodes did a great job with this book. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Tess Bailey is an overworked probation officer and when Eli Flint's file is given to her she is anything but happy. Eli has just been released from prison and wants to keep on the straight and narrow while figuring out a way to get back at Tex, the president of the Sons of Flame MC for leaving him behind when a drop went bad and turned out to be an undercover sting. When Tess and Eli meet for the first time for his initial probation interview there are sparks flying across the room that both want to ignore...need to ignore, she is a probation officer and he is an ex-con they cannot do anything to jeopardize their professional relationship. When Eli finds himself between a rock and a hardplace he has no choice but to do another job for Tex and that is when everything goes to hell in a handbasket. This was such a different MC book, we didn't see the typical club life we saw how hard it is to break free from it all. Very refreshing. This is the first book I have read by Ashley Rhodes but since I really enjoyed this one, I plan to read more of her work.
I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the beginning as the author knows how to draw you into the story. This is a quick read but so worth it especially if you love MC's.
Tess is a probation officer and has been doing this for a while, she tries to help everyone before sending them back to prison. She looks for the good in them. She ends up with Eli's file and when she meets him things start to change.
Eli has a had a rough life and didn't deserve the time he had to spend. Nothing he can do about that now except move forward. He meets his PO and everything changes for him.
Tess & Eli will take you on a journey and it will keep you on your toes. The chemistry between the two is hot but oh when it comes to the real thing man does it get hotter. Both of them must stick together in order for things to come out for the better. Can they do it? Read it and find out.
Great job to the author. This was a really good book and I highly recommend.
This book was too fast paced for any real relationship development to occur. I didn’t buy the connection between Eli and Tess and the suspense was just mediocre.
Son's of flame MC Redemption by Ashley Rhodes, was a great and quick read. The author pulls you in and keeps you wanting to read more until the very end. She keeps you guessing at every turn. Tess is this newly employed over worked parole officer, who just keeps getting case after case handed to her. This wasn't what she was expecting when she went into this line of work, she wanted to help people make their lives better after prison, but she was just getting burned out. Eli was in over his head, living a life he wanted out of. Neither one of them were expecting their worlds to collide, and collide they did. From their first meeting Tess felt something she knew she shouldn't be feeling. She just does her job and tries to keep professional, until one day, one surprise meeting at Eli's workplace lands Tess smack in the middle of Eli's world, the world that he was dragged back into, the world that he wanted nothing to do with. Can Tess and Eli find happily ever after in a world of chaos? Can they make it out of Eli's world and live the life they want to live?

Newly released inmate Eli Flint is looking to stay out of trouble and move forward with his life. Tess Bailey is his probation officer and after a tense first meeting she wants to help him get his life in order and stay on track. But Tex, the leader of the Sons of Flame, has a different plan for Eli and wants him back under his thumb. Blackmailed by Tex, Eli is forced to do a favor for the Sons of Flame. Tess knows Eli is hiding something.
This was a great quick read for me. It was a gritty, action packed story about Eli's redemption and his chance for a new beginning. A new beginning at life and love with Tess. With all the action I did not have trouble turning the page to see how Eli was going to get out of this jam. I just wish there was a little more romance. It felt like the romance aspect was an afterthought. I would definitely read more from this author.
I am so glad I received a complementary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review because I really like this MC story. It is so different from other MC books. It's not all about how bad the members are but more about the rough life Eli had and how he tries to make it better.
As a young rookie of the Sons of Flame motorcycle club, Eli went to do a deal with the leader of the club, Tex and a seasoned member of the club, Shank. It turned out to be a raid and Eli was left behind but the other two got away. Eli was sentenced to 3 years in jail. When he got out, he was not suppose to have anything to do with the MC but Tex wouldn't leave him alone.
Tess has been a probation officer for quite a while and always tries to help her clients fit into society so they don't go back to jail. She is Eli's probation officer and sees something different in him compared to her other parolees.
This is an emotional, suspenseful story that hooked me from the beginning. Ashley Rhodes’s gritty novel not only takes a look at the harsh realities of circumstance but also shows how love pops up at the most inopportune times, but when it’s right, its right.
Eli got sucked into the MC when he was young because it was an easy way for him to make some money. As his time there went on, the jobs he was asked to do got harder but he couldn't get out of the life. The writing makes you feel many different emotions like fear when Tex showed up and happiness when Eli and Tess started having feelings for each other.
The only thing that didn't sit right with me was the sex scene. It was very good but I felt like it was just plopped in there because there needed to be one. It happened very quickly with no lead up to it. I would have liked it to happen a little sooner.
I can't say it had a typical HEA ending but it was a happy ending.
This is the type of book where you'll want to clear some time and just sit and read it. You won't want to put it down.
When I started reading this I thought it was going to be along the same lines as most MC books but I was wrong it was nothing like them at all.
Eli was a young rookie newly patched member of the Sons of Flame motorcycle gang. Tex the leader, Shank and him all went to do a deal not realizing it was a raid. Tex left Eli behind. When Eli got paroled things didn't look to good for Eli and staying away from his old life.
Tess was an over worked probation officer. Everyday she was drowning in paperwork. When her boss gave her Eli's she was almost at her breaking point. She goes beyond for him but when she shows for a surpruse inspection she didn't realize what was going to be the wildest journey of her life. But when things settle will Tess and Eli survive to have a happy ending or will their love never have a chance to bloom ?
All Eli has to do is this one last job with the Sons of Flame and he'll be home free, but when does anything ever go as planned, no Eli couldn't be that lucky. Tess loves her job, well in theory, but unfortunately those she works with don't really care about themselves, they all have that look that says who cares, no one. That is until she is thrown Eli, a case load she doesn't want, but there's some thing different there. When their lives are thrown together, each must decide who is really trustworthy after all. When I started this book I wasn't sure what I'd think, but I actually really enjoyed the way it unfolded, that sometimes despite the 'lust' you can see through to the hurt and pain. I I enjoyed both the story and the characters, and this was the first of Ashley's books that I read, and has led me to read at least one of her books each month since.

Ever get tired of the MC gangs being the good guys in novels? I mean come on, we've all seen SOA, right! These guys are not nice people. Finally, a book that talks about the darker side of the MC life, and it's a good one. Take a parol officer and an ex MC member betrayed by his gang, then add the evil ex gang and you've got yourself one entertaining read. Well written and edited, this is definitely worth a try.
Please note that the author was kind enough to gift a copy of this book to me and I have in turn left this honest review.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is an honest review. Tess is a parole officer and doesn't know exactly how to feel about Eli. Just out of prison, he knows he needs to stay away from his past but will they stay away from him?
It was entertaining...I liked how it wasn't all about sex...There was an actual story. My only problem is I wish it was longer... I loved Eli, he was so sweet but strong. Tess wasn't your ordinary government jaded worker.
