Rejoicing in the Lord Jesus in All Cases and Conditions: Together With Two Sermons, "the Hope of the Saints in Heaven" and "a Christian's Freedom from Condemnation in Christ"
"I've got a wonderful feeling. Everything's going my way." These words from the famous musical, "Oklahoma " describe the basis for the feelings of most people--they can be happy when things are going their way, but not in every situation. In this book, the English Puritan Robert Asty reminds us that we are to rejoice in the Lord Jesus no matter what our circumstances. The Apostle Paul commands believers to rejoice in all things. The Lord Jesus is the ground of joy, says Asty, if we have a saving interest in Christ. As in so many Puritan writings, this book contains an abundance of encouragement and hope for believers. This book also contains two sermons on Colossians 1:5 and Romans 8:1 that have not been included in any modern reprints.
The living upon Jesus Christ is the only way to make your lives comfortable in this world, a quote from the last page. There are so many useful points in this book. A considerable part of scripture is given forth to this end to clear up a believers interest and relation unto. Christ's love is shown at the cross. praise him. The believers' interest in Christ is abiding and can never be crushed. It can never be broken. It can never be violated, but the evidence of interest, though once obtained and seemingly clear, may be obscured and darkened. Excellent book based on Habbukuk 3 v 17-18.
