Have you ever felt like you're living out a script written for you by others-in your work, your relationships, or spirituality? "To break through the norms we've been conditioned to believe is an act of rebellion," writes Chandresh Bhardwaj. "It is not about being stubborn or 'bringing down the man.' It's about following your soul's deepest longing. It's about making a decision to question what you've been told is true."
There are no "right answers" in spirituality, but asking the right questions can help us discover who we are and what we are becoming. In Break the Norms, Chandresh illuminates the unconscious beliefs we carry about matters of sex, death, love, ego, God, and gurus-then offers penetrating questions and self-inquiry practices to help us separate our own truth from the products of the status quo. Here is the long-awaited fist book from a compelling new teacher-and a clarion call to embrace our own spiritual authority.
I am so in love with Chandresh Bhardwaj 's New Book! All my life I have questioned what I have been told. It was always hard for me to believe the stories and ideas I heard from my modern orthodox monotheistic upbringing. When I watched television, read books, or looked at magazines, I wondered why they were lying to us. This book provides answers to life's deepest questions. All my life I have wondered about God, Truth, Life, Death, Love, and Sex. And all my life I have never been able to believe what I have been told to believe about them. This book has the answers we've been looking for. I love Chandresh's approach, his writing style is really honest and authentic. I can feel his presence in every sentence I read. The high volumes of truth that emanate from this book can change everything you thought you understood. It'll open your eyes to see all of the predetermined and unconscious beliefs you carried. For the first time, it can offer you a place of freedom to step into your own truth, decide for yourself, and believe what you want to believe. This book is transforming our world. Get this ''book'! You're going to love it.
I got this book at the library, but might be inclined to buy it in hopes that I would reread and actually put into practice many of his suggestions. Definitely an improvement over most of the "spiritual" books I pull off the new book shelf.
