"I want a guy to want me. And I want him to treat me like I matter."

In Pieces is a new, YA offering by Author Gia Riley. It's a story of young and first love.

"I'd rather stay invisible than stand out."

Kinsley and Carson have been together in school since kindergarten. However, he's the school jock and doesn't appear to have ever noticed Kinsley. Kinsley has definitely noticed Carson and his hypnotic eyes, but never in her wildest imaginations thought that one day she would have a chance with him.

"I've been let down so many times, it makes moments like these that much more meaningful.”

Do you know that feeling of first love? Constant butterflies and magic. That was exactly what In Pieces was like throughout the story. Yes, there were ups and downs, as is in real-life. But, seeing the admiration and love blossom between Kinsley and Carson gave me all the gushy feels of a newfound love. Carson was devoted and affectionate, never letting other’s opinions change how he felt for Kinsley. Kinsley learned how to let someone love her unconditionally, and experience an intensity of emotions that she never had before. The secondary characters were very impactful in the main characters’ lives, and became a large part of the story. In particular was Wyatt and Becca, and I am hopeful that Author Gia Riley will give us more of their stories. The setting of the story was realistic, and I couldn’t help but to be taken back to high school and live the story as it was told. Closing the last page, I let out a little sigh, so satisfied and feeling light after having read such a sweet and touching story.

"I was made to love you, Kinsey West. We were always meant to be."

Young love can be so many things. For Rhett and Kinsley it gave them hope and it also showed them that regardless of what others say or think, real and true love can never be kept apart.

One picture changed it all. The way the one that loves you sees you can change your outlook on life and that is exactly what Rhett did for Kinsley. She was the outcast the one that others looked at and pitied, she lived in the shadows of her jock brother and kept to herself. Then Rhett and his picture happened, that day would be imprinted in her heart forever.

Kinsley, saw more than the popular jock when she saw Rhett. Deep down she knew he was more than what he was portraying. He never treated her in a negative way nor did he ever make her feel like she didn't belong. He was the guy every girl in school wanted. Rhett was the football player with his future planned out for him, courtesy of his momma. He had a secret and his secret was he was in love with the girl no one in school expected him to be interested in. He had no idea how to approach her, but one day fate was on his side and like they say the rest is history.

This book is one I honestly could not put down. I fell in love with Rhett and how much he loved Kinsley. Gia threw me a curveball in the story. One I never saw coming. A curveball that made the story so much more interesting. I loved every minute of In Pieces, I was happy, sad, hurt, and ecstatic while I was lost in the world that Gia created.

I am honestly a huge fan and look forward to releases from Gia. She knows how to tell a story and keep the reader captivated with her words. This is a must read story, two hearts that were meant to be one. A love that will stand the test of time.

Overall Opinion: This was just ok for me. I felt like all their issues got resolved way too easily and quickly. I didn't really love either character, or any of the side characters either (hated the H's mom Which brought me down another .5 stars). I didn't feel any emotional connection to their story by the end, and I was just kind of bored. Maybe I'm too old for this one, as I can see maybe some young teen liking it.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Kinsley and Rhett's story. They have known each other all through school, but they never really had any type of relationship. On the first day of their senior year, Rhett finally makes a move since Kinsley's brother is no longer there to threaten him. They start a relationship, and things move quickly and they fall in love. There is some drama with an old crush, some issues with friends, some major issues with family, and a big secret revealed...but they get their HFN ending.

POV: This alternated between Kinsley and Rhett's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Ok. There were several skips in time, and I get it -- we needed to get through the school year since their story started the first day of the year, but it got to the point that I felt like I was just being told about things happening instead of feeling the connection through experiencing them.

Instalove: Hmmm...this was close to instalove and maybe some would call it that, but it seems like (at least for Rhett) there were some strong feelings already there when they started that had been growing over a longer period of time that contributed -- we just didn't experience it, so it seemed really fast developing.

H rating: 3 stars. Rhett. I didn't love him, and I didn't hate him...just meh.

h rating: 2 stars. Kinsley. I Started to have issues with her once I felt like she was starting to lead on Carson. Otherwise, she was just ok.

Sadness level: Low. I didn't need any tissues.

Heat level: Low. One sex scene and it is not sexy.

Descriptive sex: Yes and no. Their first time is briefly described -- more about the emotional connection. Other than that -- there are only vague mentions of them being intimate.

OW/OM drama: Yes. Kinsley lives with her brother's friend, Carson, who she had a crush on since they were kids. She moves on to Rhett, but Carson decides that he needs to confess his feelings towards her.

Sex scene with OW or OM:

Cheating:

Possible Triggers:

Closure: I would've liked a little more closure with them. I would call it a HFN ending.

How'd I get it?: I got it on my kindle unlimited subscription.

We are who we are whether we like it or not.”

In Pieces is a beautiful story of young and first love. In Pieces follows the story of Kinsley and Rhett. Nothing has been the same for Kinsley since her mom past away. When her mom died, her father couldn’t handle his grief and left Kinsley in the care of her older sister. Things have been hard for Kinsley. Not only is she trying to finish her senior year of high school, but she’s also working hard to help her sister pay the bills. What Kinsley wasn’t planning on was Rhett. Rhett is the popular boy who has everything. Kensley is surprised when Rhett takes an interest in her. She is oblivious to what everyone else sees in her. Rhett slowly breaks her down and convinces her to take a chance on him. As time goes by, Rhett and Kinsley fall into a seemingly easy and beautiful relationship. However, these two young people will learn very quickly how things can change in an instant. In the end, the question will be, “Is there love strong enough to endure what life has decided to throw at them?”

In Pieces reminded me so much of what it was like to be young and in love. I would probably consider this story to be YA or Mature YA. It does deal with some tough issues, so it could almost be at the M-YA/NA line. In Pieces pulled me in from the very first page. From the moment I met both Rhett and Kinsley, I wanted to know more about them. I thought that the two of them had really great chemistry and enjoyed their almost-insta love connection. The two of them were really cute together and I loved how Rhett treated Kinsley. Rhett was totally swoon worthy. He always left me with a smile on my face and I could tell that his feelings for Kinsley were genuine.

In Pieces is a great coming of age story. It’s about finding yourself and discovering the power of that first great love. It’s also a story about hope and the strength to get through even the toughest of situations. This story had real characters with real issues and those issues were dealt with in a very respectful way.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. The romance was sweet. The story-line was fun and refreshing. I loved the angst and drama. And at the end, I was left with a big smile on my face!

In Pieces by Gia Riley is a story of young love, of discovering who you are in the face of tragic circumstances and rising above. Gia Riley's words have the reader feeling as though they are walking the path with Kinsley, supporting her through every decision and every turn, even when she questions her own decisions. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I recommend it to others!

Kinsley West lives a life that most girls her age wouldn't dream of having. Having lost her mother and her father leaving, she has grown up faster than she should have had to. Living with her older sister and her brother Wyatt's best friend Carson, Kinsley helps pay the bills at her house. She has always been in the background at school and is determined that her senior year will be different, that she will enjoy herself. With her best friend Becca at her side, Kinsley is determined to make her dream of becoming a designer and the first step to that is getting into Parsons School of Design in New York. What Kinsley never saw coming was Rhett Taylor, popular, star of the football team and a genuinely nice guy who takes an intense interest in her the first day of school.

Rhett Taylor appears to have it all on the outside, popularity, talent on the field and a big circle of friends. But no one really knows who he is, or wants to be. Having had feelings for Kinsley for years, Rhett finally makes his move now that her older brother Wyatt has gone away to college at Penn State. Determined to make her his, Rhett will do anything to have Kinsley return his feelings.

When Rhett and Kinsley finally get together, it seems like her dreams of having an awesome senior year are coming true. With Becca dating his best friend Jake, attending his football games, having her first kiss and attending Homecoming, it doesn't seem like anything can bring her down. But her brothers best friend Carson blindsides her with feelings she never imagined he'd have, Becca needs her when she becomes torn between the guy she is dating and the guy she has cared about for a long time, and an unexpected surprise that both surprises and frightens her at the same time.

Are Rhett and Kinsley forever or are they just a senior year romance destined to fade with the last bell signaling graduation? You will have to read to find out.

Sometimes a book grabs you from page one and you're never the same. In Pieces was that book for me. I literally could not put it down. It was an absolute beautiful journey of young love. Rhett and Kinsley are two characters who will capture your heart, and not let it go. Kinsley is dealing with the loss her mother, and a father who checked out because the pain was too much to bare. She weaves her way through life the best way she knows how, while having to grow up too fast. Finding hope, solace and love from an unexpected place in Rhett. Together these two embark on a journey of not only findiing who they are as individuals, but who they are together. I was absolutely blown away by Gia's ability to make me feel every emotion possible. I laughed, I cried and I held my breath in parts. She gave new meaning to young love in this book. If I took away one thing, it was that true love knows no age or bounds. When your heart finds that, you hold on tight. In Pieces was so much more than a 5 star read for me. It truly was one of my favorite books this year. I highly recommend this book. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next epic read Gia brings us!

This was such a cute love story! It's was basically a fairly tale and Rhett made me swoon at basically every single thing he did or said.

Although the story line was simple and somewhat predictable, it was beautifully written. It's not going to make any sense, but even though I predicted a few actions of the characters, I felt like I was discovering the story and I just couldn't stop reading.

Such a cute story.

I am a massive fan of Gia Riley and her work. She is a newer author but with every title she turns out her work gets better and better. And this cover is just stunning! In Pieces is different from her normal stories but a good book nonetheless. I couldn't help but fall for Kinsley. This girl had been through so much in her young life that I couldn't do anything but root for her to get some happy.

Kinsley West has lived quite the life for her eighteen years. Having survived more than one loss she is just biding her time until she can pursue her dream. She was planning to keep her head down, do her work, build her portfolio and make her escape but then Rhett Taylor had to snap his way into her world. While he may not have lived the life that Kinsley had, he has the heart and understanding that is just what she needs. He is not your typical high school star athlete. I loved that, through his actions, he was able to let her be a teenager and experience the things that she never had before; like her first kiss. His patience and gentleness is what really endeared him to me. He gave her what she had always wanted and a few things she didn't know she needed. I loved seeing her confidence blossom and her really come into her own as their relationship progressed.

But when life happens, as it always does, Kinsley's carefully constructed world comes spiraling down once again. Rhett was amazing, however, his mom made me want to jump into my reader and smack her silent. Her words hurt me and I physically recoiled from the pure venom that just poured out of her. This sent everything spinning out of control. Even through the hurt and pain the one thing that didn't change was how much Kinsley and Rhett loved each other. And that love was pure and deep and true and unconditional. My heart was pounding and I was reading as fast as I could to see what would become of their situation.

I can't say enough about how much this book moved me. Gia Riley delivered a story that is so much more than a high school romance. It is about handling the curves that life throws your way with grace and humility but not losing yourself or your dreams in the process. It is about how priorities change but that doesn't mean you're defeated. Kinsley and Rhett are beautifully flawed and wonderfully human. Their faults and their fears make them more realistic and likable. In Pieces truly captured my heart (and that is saying a lot because young adult is not my thing at all). This book is full of heart and is sure to melt yours.

Gia Riley is an author whose books have been sitting in my TBR for a while and I am so glad I finally had a chance to read her work.
I started In Pieces this afternoon and honestly had to make myself put the kindle down to do things like eat dinner, talk to my parents, and put my kids to bed - the story pulled me in that much and I was almost disappointed when the story was over.
We meet Kinsley as she begins her senior year in high school and it's impossible not to like her. This poor girl has been through the absolute ringer and is plowing through to get where she wants to be in life. On that first day of school, Kinsley has an encounter with Rhett and this fantastic, wonderful boy changes the course of her life.
At first, I thought this was just a really well written story of young love. Rhett had to work to convince Kinsley he was for real, but the more I listened to him and watched how he acted with her it was easy to see that she was very lucky to find him so young. Rhett, especially when seem from Kinsley point of view had moments of being way too good to be true, but we learn that even though he’s been attracted to Kinsley for a long time, he has not been an angel while waiting to approach her.
Kinsley's unusual home situation adds some conflict to their relationship, but they continue as a strong couple until they get a massive curve ball. How Kinsley's brother and her best friend handled the curve ball is my one complaint about In Pieces. Their reaction didn't really make sense to me and why they behaved the way they did was never really addressed or even brought up again as the story moved forward. Rhett and Kinsley both displayed an unusual amount of emotional maturity as they dealt with the situation, although my heart broke for her in a couple of places as they were getting things figured out.
The supporting cast of In Pieces is small, but very impactful to our characters and their behavior. I loved Kinsley and Rhett and had so much fun rooting for them. Now, I need to back and read Ms. Riley's other books!

In Pieces is by Gia Riley. It is a wonderful romance that deals with all the things a senior in high school have to deal with and more. It is easy to read and it is narrated by Kinsley and Rhett so you get the thoughts of both the main characters.
Kinsley West lives with her sister, Kate, and a friend of her brother Wyatt’s, Carson. Carson moved in with them after Wyatt left for college and by his rent is helping them keep their apartment. Kate has custody of Kinsley and Wyatt until they turn eighteen. She has had them since their Mother died and their Father abandoned them. She has been going to school and is almost finished with her degree and is hoping to move to Philadelphia to be with her fiancé when Kinsley goes to school. Kinsley will graduate in the spring and hopes to go to a design school in New York City. Kinsley has been sheltered by her big brother who warned all the boys at school not to even look at Kinsley. So Kinsley has never dated and since she doesn’t know what her brother did, thinks she is unattractive to the boys. Thus, she has devoted herself to her studies and to her friend Becca.
Rhett Taylor is a senior who has wanted to date Kinsley since they were sixteen; but never asked her out because of her brother. Rhett is a big man on campus and is on the football team. He is gorgeous and to top it off he comes from a wealthy family who dotes on him. In spite of this, Rhett is not spoiled and he does not treat anyone as if they are beneath him or as if he is entitled to attention. He and Kinsley share a first period photography class and on the first day of school, he manages to finally talk to Kinsley. When she goes to work that evening, he follows her to the diner and ends up giving her a ride home as well as talking her into being his girlfriend.
As their friendship progresses, many obstacles come between them. Can they overcome the obstacles and stay together through the year? What about when they leave for college? Will one of them have to give up their dreams?

My first Gia's book.

That let me In Pieces.

I'm torn between give 3.5 or 4 stars. Is nothing about the book, I think is more for my connection with the book through the story.

I loved it. Every minute of it but I think at the 65% of the book, I was disconnected.
The drama between Carson and Kinsley, it was the main problem. I'll have to reread it, to try to be in peace with that part.

For the rest of the book, I loved it.
High school stories have a special place in my heart. Maybe because my high school time was never, never like the one I read on the books or maybe because I wished it could happen to me. Anyway, this is another story that will have a beautiful space in my Shelves.

Rhett and Kinsley shares a love that is not easy to find (though for me, was kinda creepy at the beginning), when they start to fall in love for each other, their lives are full and connected and everything is beautiful.

Life is not easy honey, so Love conquers all yes, but you have to fight to have your happily ever after. That's what happens with Rhett and Kinsley.

I want to say, that I think this book is a sweet and an adorable story. That kept everything real. But what I didn't like was, the drama between they boy Kinsley always had by her side (Carson), and the miscommunication.

Folks, if you don't say the things the way the have to be said. Well, you will have awkward feelings and confusion. I wish Kinsley were more communicative and I wish she said everything in the moment, she needed to stood by her feelings and respect Carson's feelings.

That is all I have to say about what I didn't like. Is not to much, because Rhett made everything better... this adorable sweet boy, made me cry a little!

“I can’t really explain it, but it makes perfect sense to me. She’s my sunny-girl— she makes me happy.” this boy will be the death of me

"We all have secrets, even you, but now you know my truth."

Where do I start?

Sometimes a book comes along and surprises you. This is one of those books.

Sometimes you just know someone is the one. It doesn't matter if you are 8, 18, or 88 - you just know.

In Pieces is a story of love, of seeing yourself through someone else's eyes, and of realizing that being with the right person can make you whole.

Rhett Taylor is popular and star of the football team. Kinsley West has spent most of H.S. hiding in the shadows and doing her best to blend in and just get by. Kinsley has had a crush on Rhett since freshman year. She sees through the facade - through the face he shows the world. She notices the little things about him that make him more than just a good looking jock.

Rhett and Kinsley have known one another since kindergarten, but have never actually talked or gotten to known each other. This changes on the first day of Senior Year of H.S. One class. One conversation. One photograph. And everything changes.

"You don't think people see you, but they do. I see you. Every single day."

Swoon.

It turns out Kinsley's HS crush has wanted to ask her out for two years, but was warned off by her brother, who is now away at college. The two jump all in and what follows is an emotional, heartfelt journey of discovering first love, facing challenges, overcoming obstacles, and learning that sometimes the path you end up on, though not the one you envisioned, is exactly where you are meant to be.

This novel has it all - humor, well-developed main characters, fun secondary characters, emotion, drama, and a HEA. My only issue with this book, well with the genre itself, is the overly used "love triangle" trope. However, I must commend Ms. Riley for the way she handles it and how it doesn't create unnecessary (sort of) complications for the main characters.

I highly recommend this read.

Holy hot guys!! Kinsley was swimming in a sea of hot-ness... She was completely surrounded but she stayed in her own bubble until one hottie popped it when she didn't even ask him too. How rude of him! Kinsley had a lot of grief when unfortunate tragedy after tragedy happened it left her a drift at sea... But after two years of sitting on the sidelines, watching Kinsley but not being able to do anything Rhett finally had an opportunity and he jumped at it. Balls to the walls!

The author did a superb job in giving this story enough depth but left you with a light weight on your shoulders. You feel so bad for Kinsley with the hand she's been given and she goes through a lot but she has so many who are there for her and will do anything for her.

This was my kind of romance! I loved Rhett he was so super sweet, at first I was like hold on there Paco you are jumping kinda fast. Then I realized how long he waited for his door to open with her and that made it that much sweeter. He was not going to waste anymore time, he want her to be his. I absolutely hate love triangles it leaves me a little disgusted with the heroine for putting herself in that situation.

I hate love triangles, the anxiety I have when reading one is super annoying. I don't like wishy washy girls it drives me insane, I have to quit reading and come back to it. Lol I know dramatic! This story has a love triangle feel with her uber hot roomate that happens to be in love with her, but in the end you don't have that frustrating love triangle anxiety it's all good. I was alright and had no problem reading this, it flows really good and all comes out in the wash.

This was an adorably sweet story, I loved how they conquered all their situations and they did them together. There was a little running but she didn't stay gone long, because she knew who to go to.

In Pieces is a tale of first love. It's more than that for Kinsley though, its the only somewhat normal part of her life. She's dealt with several blows in her short past and it has affected her life in many ways. She doesn't feel worthy of love or wanted. She feels like a burden to her family, especially her sister.

Rhett has liked Kinsley for a long time, and finally its their Senior year and he has to give it a shot. He will regret it if he doesn't. But Rhett finds that its not easy to start something with Kinsley, she's been through a lot and isn't exactly trusting.

In pieces is full of drama of varying degrees, there's circumstances surrounding Kinsley's personal life, the fact taht her brother is over protective, and a few other surprises along the way that I'm not going to spoil. I enjoyed the start of Rhett and Kinsley's relationship and their build up, their love story at the beginning was very well written and sucked me in. It gave me a bit of a nostalgic feeling. However, there were circumstances later in the book that seemed a bit contrived and for me, fell flat.

I would give In Pieces 3 and a half stars as it is, the characters are enticing, the young love fresh and full of feeling and the author was able to show me often how the characters were feeling and how they were coping with certain changes.

3.5 STARS!!!

Dealing with adult topics, adult concepts and making adult decisions; Gia Riley has created characters that have brought to life the struggle of young adults and what it means to have to grow up too fast.

Kinsley has lost a lot. Her mum died and her dad just couldn’t deal. Under the guardianship of her older sister Kinsley West is exhausted, overworked and not particularly looking forward to her senior year. Then comes Rhett; hot shot footballer and totally out of her league… So she thinks!

Rhett is smitten with Kinsley and after waiting for her older brother to graduate, it seems that senior year is the perfect year to make his feelings known.

Feeling nothing but shock, Kinsley can hardly believe Rhett wants her. As they grow and mature with one another, supporting each other and showing the importance and seriousness of young and first love.

As life gets in the way threatening to ruin and complicate their blossoming relationship, Gia Riley incorporates all the necessary drama and emotions to make the story line work. With memorable secondary characters, Kinsley and Rhett shine in their depiction of resilience and maturity.

Heartstrings will be pulled and readers will be impressed by Gia Riley’s ability to convince you of the power of true, young and first love.

This was a really sweet and cute read.

Kinsley has had a pretty tragic life and she's a senior in high school. She had a loving family - a mom, a dad, an older sister, and an older brother that truly loved each other. When her mother dies and her father falls apart and then can't stand to be with his family anymore and leaves them. Her older sister is a nurse that has to take so much responsibility on her shoulders to raise Kinsley and her older brother has gone off to college. Kinsley just wants to remain invisible at school, get ready to apply to a really good art school, and graduate high school and get out of town and live her life. On the first day back at school, Kinsley and Rhett Taylor have a class but they've never really talked.

Rhett is a popular guy and a talented football player but he's way more than he appears. He's gorgeous and known somewhat of a player. But he makes sure that Kinsley knows that he has his eyes set on her and he's not using her or trying to get into her pants. He truly sees her and cares about her and wants a relationship. He's kept his distance for awhile because her brother made sure that all the guys in their school knew she was off limits.

In Pieces Over This Story

Wow, just finished this story. How great this story was would be understated in words.
I haven't read a YA in quite some time and glad I saved it for this author.
Reading Kinsley and Rhett's story was truly inspiring.
Life isn't always a path that is easy, desirable, or full of compassion. This poor girl has been through it in her life. She has been bullied and just wants to blend in her senior year of high school.
Rhett the star football player knows the sun that shines out of this girl and has for years. He just needs to prove to her that her light shines brighter than she gives herself credit for.
Definitely took me by surprise the way the story plays out, but it is so real.
I loved it and hope there will be more with this story to read. I love each character in here and they all have very important roles from the overbearing siblings to the crazy best friends.
Highly recommend this read. I can even let me daughter read it and love it!

Just when I think Gia Riley can't up the ante and write another great book she goes and ups the ante! I really shouldn't be surprised, I've loved everything she's written since the moment I met her and although this had a different feel then her other works I knew from the first sentence of In Pieces that I wouldn't be able to put it down. Rhett Taylor and Kinsley West are on different ends of the high school hierarchy and yet feel this great pull towards each other. Finally giving in to Rhett Kinsley allows herself to be loved, and be the young woman she deserves instead of the grown up she's been forced to be. There are many who try to come between them but they stand strong against outside adversaries and nourish their young love. This story kept me guessing until the end, and falling not only for Rhett, but for Kinsley's best friend Carson. Be prepared to take a few hours to read straight through!!!

I don't usually read Young Adult Romance but after reading the synopsis I couldn't pass this one up. Rhett has wanted to be with Kinsley for years though threats from her brother has always kept him away. Now that her brother has gone off to college, he knows this may be his only chance. Life hasn't been easy for Kinsley but she makes the best of it. When Rhett starts to show interest in her, she finds it hard to believe that he could actually want to be with someone like her. Gia Riley is an amazing writer and I absolutely loved this book! The chemistry between Rhett and Kinsley was palpable. I felt the story was developed really well and I was able to connect with the characters. I loved how Rhett and Kinsley continued to fight for each other as many obstacles are thrown their way. In Pieces is a sweet and heartfelt love story about family, trust and taking chances.

I received an ARC of In Pieces for honest review. This was my first book of Gia Riley and I'm happy to say, I want to read more of them. Rhett and Kinsley story is magnetic from beginning to end! This may have been a YA novel, but you get so much more. Their love is pure, honest and wholesome. The life of Kinsley West has been anything but easy. With a mother who passed, and a father that bailed it's surprising how strong she still is. Her selflessness is inspiring, and her love for Rhett is beautiful. Goodness, and Rhett, he's hot, loves Kinsley with his whole heart and is a true hero. You'll want nothing more than to see their love prevail! Thank you Gia Riley for an amazing love story, it was sensational!

*ARC was provided by the author for an honest review, thank you**

3.5 Solid Stars, I enjoyed this book!

Ahhh, high school love…young love…such a slippery slope. Rhett and Kinsley story was what you read about, the popular Jock and the quiet and shy gal. Rhett’s liked her for a couple years but never acted upon it because of Kinsley’s protective brother. Since her brother is away at school, now is his chance. Boy does he move fast, first day of of their senior year and he has made his intentions known. Next thing you know, they are a couple. That was the easy part. The rest of the book allows us to journey with Rhett and Kinsley as they navigate their way along the trials and tribulations of young love.

I absolutely loved this book, something about first love. You have Kinsley who up to this point due to an over protective brother hasn't even had a boyfriend and you have Rhett, who is the school's most popular guy and has had many girlfriends. In so many ways they are opposite but at the same time they fit together perfectly.

I loved reading about them, all their firsts together..loved the twist towards the end and I didn't know which way Kinsley was going to go, I'm so happy with her choice. I loved how Rhett always stuck up for Kinsley and always put her first.
I flipped through this book and I didn't want to put it down, that always tells me it was an amazing read for me and five stars.

Great young love story

What a wonderful story about young love. Some say you just don't understand love if you are young, but I don't think that is true at all. It's a process that builds and you learn from what you know. I have to say that Rhett was the powerful one in this book. I loved Kinsley but Rhett is the one that turned pages for me
Parts of the book sort of angered me.. Which all had to do with Carson. His character made me very angry for most of the book, and Kinsley's reaction to him at times made me see red. That dynamic could have been skipped and I would have been okay. This is part of the reason I didn't rate it a 5*. But overall this book is very much worth reading. More than likely read it again very soon.

Gia Riley is one of my one click authors. I don't even read the blurbs before I start reading her books, so I had no idea what to expect with this book. I loved it.

Kinsley has been through a lot. Both her parent are gone and she living with her older sister. I loved the family dynamic that Kinsley has with her older bother and sister. During her senior year super hot, and popular football player, Rhett so an interest in Kinsley. I loved Kinsley and Rhett together. Kinsley finally gets to be young experience love. Of course there are was twists that come up and make things difficult for Kinsley and Rhett.

A copy was giving for a review.

Wow... What another very real and very raw read from Gia Riley! I think that's what draws me to her books, how messy and real they are. Exactly like real life! Things happen and there is never smooth sailing through the entire read! Kinsley and Rhett have such an amazing relationship through out the whole book with many speed bumps, but who wouldn't when they are just kids in high school! There are mistakes made and things blow up for both kids but they have an amazing support system thanks to Wyatt, Becca, Kate, and in the end Rhett's parents. This was a good read and showed that no matter how young you can still know what you want and what true love really is!
